All are welcome; more than welcomed, begged to join! 3nodding Owners and labyrinthians alike. edit: I changed it from "Fresh Air" to "Another Day at the Cafe" becaise I didn't know what to name it at first. Then realized later "OH, that doesn't match!" Lani let out a bit of a sigh, holding tight a crystal orb in her right hand, frosted white with swirls of pastel maneuvering lively within. In her grip, the sphere was warm... very warm, sometimes throbbing with a brief luminocity. Her feet carried her quickly through her hometown, packed guitar held by the handle in her free hand. She was heading to her workplace - a local Cafe serving the usual. Coffee, smoothies, deli sandwhiches, bagels, donuts, cookies, cake and pie slices, warm soup... the works.
Lani held up the orb close to her face, staring at it resentfully, "Why'd I take this, thisthisthis... thing, with me!?" Little latina gave the crystal an angry shake in the air before letting her hand back down, "AUGH!" Such a problematic series of events she's been through this week. She had no idea what the crystal was about, what it was, that anything was in it... she just didn't like what greif caused her family - her own life!
Finally, she reached the Cafe. It was a hole in the wall place, but very well known be several words of mouths as a calming joint to relax, enjoy music, poem readings, and good food and drink! It wasn't very high wage, but it was enough to pay for her small flat's rent she'd acquired near the beginning of the week. Going to work grumpy, what a day.
... who knows. Maybe she'll meet some new people, like she does every day. If anyone was brave enough to approach her, setting aside her punkish appearance. Heck, who goes to work wearing fuchsia butterfly wings on their back?

((*joins in*))
It was one of those days she had insisted Jay take the twins with him to his parents. It would the children good, Jay good....and best of all, Raven got a break from playing mommy and have some alone time to herself.
Now she sat at the cafe, sipping away at a hot chocolate, after adding her own little ingrediant to the hot chocolate. Next to it she had also orderd some water and a soda...and she did plan on drinking it all too.
She looked through a magazine she had brought with her, enjoying her little day off. Expensive shades graced her face, hiding her mysterious crimson eyes. Even with mass of raven curls with a few strands to caress her pale face.
Her ear twitched a little, listening to footsteps and other's conversations. She had no work, outside of being a mother to twins, a couple of corseas, an undera and then a human and a vampire... oh yea she had work cut out for her.

((hooray. :B))
Lani stood in front of the cafe door and sighed. How could she be ready to face her day?! Before she could find a away to open the door with full hands, an exiting customer did so first. It was a regular she recognized, a pleasant soul to be around. Already her mood was uplifting gradually. She waved goodbye to them and made her grande entrance into the cozy cafe.
"HOLA mi amigos! Did you miss me!? Who's ready for muuusiiiiiic?" Her arms were held out proudly, offering herself to her few fans and various other cafe customers. She obviously was one of the musicians, and waitresses! She didn't LOOK like a waitress, however, garbed in tight light jeans, frayed at the bottom, mostly covering her black and link converse shoes, armbands, her signature vinyl corset of iridecent fuchsia and handmade cellophane wings!
If anybody missed hearing this loud, rowdy female, they were deaf. Lani carried on through the cafe straight to the little sound stage, set up earlier for her arrival. She always opened her shift playing a song on guitar. And she was a rocker, all acoustic, with some light, nonlyrical vocal. As she made her way to the stage, though, she passed by Raven's table, just 'cause it was on the way, that odd crystal orb still in hand, being carefully, lightly tossed up and down in her hand, like playfully bouncing a baby in the air and catching her again, baby laughing. Only, the orb don't laugh, just glows and hums.

The glowing caught her eye as she snapped her attention to the orb and it's owner. She must have been very much cooped up in the house as she swore the orb blendid with the girl's personality from what Raven was witnessing.
She decided she needed out of the house more, even if it was just taking the children window shopping or to the park.
Interesting, she thought, studying the orb and the owner. it was definitely a breath of fresh air from the seriousness of the house...Perhaps she should recommend this place to her two gentlemen.

The door to the Cafe opened and a blur of green and brown rushed in. It dashed past Lani and Raven and disappeared somewhere in the room.
Not long after a young man opened the door. He buckled over for a second panting and trying to catch his breath. "It's been... so long... since I've had to run... that far... in this form..." He muttered before straightening up and little and looking around. He blinked a few times and smiled at a few of the customers who were watching him curiously.
He stepped in and closed the door behind him before looking around the room rather suspiciously. "Anyone... seen a tree?" he asked with a slight chuckle. he shook his head before noticing a familiar figure sitting on her own. He'd never met her personally, as far as he could remember, but he recognized her as being Raven. If he hadn't known Jay, Aiden and Alexi he wouldn't have otherwise known.
He ignored the odd stares, being used to it, and approached her table. "The others probably have no clue what I'm on about, have you seen Jynelle? She one of those labyrinth creatures. A dryad to be exact... I lost her..." He asked with a hopeful look. Being a werewolf, it wasn't hard to see the glowing orb in another young woman's hand. "I guess Hyde wasn't kidding when he said there were a lot of them around." he said without realising.

Raven smiled up to him. She recalled seeing him at the twins shower, if only that and for a moment.
"No he wasn't kidding when he said alot were around...however, my little brood's at home or with their father giving me a wonderful break."
She didn't stop the grin of joy she had from that thought but she did point to the direction the green and brown blur went to. "I believe she went that way?"

Lani noticed she was being stared at quite a bit by the woman. Peculiar... she'd address that soon. Before she reached the stage, something bolt between her and the booths. Wide eyed latina turned heel and gasped, staring at the door, crystal gripped tightly in front of her chest. The orb glowed brightly, warming in her hand, as if reassuring her. And it worked. Lani just arched a brow, then looked to the woman once more, wondering if she threw an object her way or something. Then a rambunctuous new customer bursting in caught her attentions before she could open her mouth to say anything.
"A tree? Are you nuts, chico?" She felt hypocritcal saying that. She'd stepped to the table with the two newcomers and leaned one hand down ont he table, propping herself up bending over. Opposite wrist rest against her hip, orb still held tight. "What are you locos talking about, ey?" Apparently she wasn't the only one with a crystal?

Before Mercutio could look for Jynelle again, the stranger with the orb was bent over the table. He raised an eyebrow and nodded to the orb. "The underground creatures... from the orbs..." he explained in an emotionless tone. "You have one in your hand." he added just in case she was still confused.
The dryad zoomed over to the werewolf and latched on to his waist. "I was supposed to be on my own today, myself, but Jynelle refused to be left with Finch again." he looked down at the corsea and smiled. "I win!" He said with a grin. "What? No you didn't! I was here first!" The dryad snapped a little confused at the false claim of victory. "No you weren't. You were over there." He replied with a little childish chuckle, pointing to the corner she'd just come out of. The corsea giggled and took a seat at the booth Raven was in. "Mere not here?" She asked tilting her head to the left, rather much like her care-taker.

Raven shook her head, having a slight motherly expression to her. She had started to feel like a mother when Dyvim was still an orb and of course, the arrival of the twins really made her a mother. Not that she complained.
"No sweety. He's with Jay right now visiting his parents. He'll be back soon."
She looked to the strange girl. "What he said is true. You hold in your hand a special gift..."

Lani laughed abruptly, and briefly, a mock sort of laugh. "Special? I'm still waiting to see what caused me to git kicked out of home and hated by mi mama!" She brought the orb around and sighed, staring down at it, before shaking her head. "Don' git me wrong, chicos, I get some weird joy outta' babysitting the little ball," she grunted as she yanked a chair from a center table, over to the table of the booth. She looked now at the other creatures, bewildered, lost... "Don't they, you know, draw attention?"
Lani looked around the cafe, clearly worried. "I mean, this things ain't normal, yah?" Both hands rest palms up on the table, cupped, the orb in both hands as she looked around.

"For those new to them, they're not normal..."
She stared at her cup of chocolate then, recalling the very day she'd recieved Dyvim's orb. She was on the beach, recently away from her own demons of her haunting past. The nightmares to it had lessened after she'd found her family.
"For us who are used to their presence, well it's normal and even they continue to surprise us."
She ignored the attention most of the time...

Mercutio nodded. "They most definitely gather attention from the public, though. That's kind of why I wanted to come out on my own today." He said looking over to the corsea with an accusing look. Jynelle's mood dropped and she signed something with her hands to the werewolf. "No! Of coarse not! Jynelle, love, you were never a problem and never will be." He said with a surprised look. While he was speaking he accidently bumped his injured are on the table. He groan and clenched his teeth together at blood started to colour the bandage around his forearm red. "Mercutio are you okay?" Jynelle asked with a worried look. The werewolf nodded and smiled. He signed something to her with his hands, which seemed to calm her a bit.
"So what did your note say?" Mercutio asked directing his attention to the other woman. "I lost mine but it was pretty similar to a friend's. I was wondering if they were all the same." he added explaining his reason for wanting to know.

Mercutio's blood drifted to Raven's sensitive nose as she enhaled the sweet scent of fresh blood.. It had been awhile since she fed as a vampire...but lately it wasn't in control and she'd been loving it. Now with fresh blood, she closed her eyes and thought about it, before she went still and decided to listen to the other woman.
She'd say something about the wound later..

Lani still had her letter from the King. She kept it in her suitcase when she was kicked out. "I was told that my wish was granted, to forget about my li'yl hermana, and my life would never be the same because I was getting this gift." She shrugged. "Maybe instead of a letter I'll get a personal meeting next time I wish any more hermanas away," said sarcastically. Part of her DID want to see what this oh-so-High-and-Mighty King looked like. "Or if he just wants to, like, check in and tell me where mi hermana is for mama's sake," was quietly added, sarcasm gone.
She jerked her head to send fuchsia strands out of her eyes, revealing them better as she eyed the two. Odd eyes of aqua iris and teal pupils. Inhuman...
