Inari golden hues traveled over the borders of the Pridelands. He hadn't seen Mrost in so long, should he call for him? Wait, no, bad idea, what if Mrost was doing something important, and Inari interrupted. No, perhaps he should just wait to see the large blue god on hte horizon again.
Flicking his tail as he walked, Inari peered around for a food source, nothing, perhaps he should've listened to Daemona fterall. About where to go when you wanted to find somehting to catch real quick, or somehting that was tastey. Perhaps he should pay better attention to things like that.
"Wish I could find him," he spoke out loud, the blue feather that hung behind his ear swung with every step.
It was a constant reminder, of who adn what he wanted to be.
A warrior.

Hakan, for once, was not thinking of Mrost, or his duty as a patron of war. In fact for once he was feeling strangely calm and rather subdued.
He was moving slowly across the lands, his mind aloft with the breeze as he paused in the Pridelands to glance around. He remembered this place and though it was faded in his memory now he could have sworn he still smelt her scent.
"Kizuka..." He secretly still pined for that female, but he hadn't seen her in so long that he could barely remember what she looked like. She had been distraught the last time they had met and he doubted, somehow, that she still lived. He had tried to move on, sure, but every other female he had bumped into did nothing for him. Nothing at all.
He knew deep down that he was condemned to be alone but somehow he had all but given up on caring anymore. It was better, after all, to not have any emotional ties when walking in the steps of war.
It was then that he heard the voice close by and the bulky black male swung round suddenly. His nostrils flared and eyes narrowed but so far he didn't give any body language that might be considered as threatening.
"Who goes there?" He called. There would always be a distrust and hatred of the Pridelanders in him.

Inari saw a moving figure, and he tilted his head, then narrowed his eyes. An intruder? Oh no, what if it was that crazy tanish lion again looking for Na-be? Stupid tan lion, Inari despised him somewhat internally. Ah well. But this figure was blacker, so Inari approached. Even if he was a rogue, Inari ahd to defend his home, it was what he was to do. It was good training to, for when he would one day be a warrior.
"Who goes there, who comes here?" he asked the stranger, getting close enough to see the others eyes. For a moment he swore he could've seen Mrost in the eyes of the other...he was going crazy from the sun, ahd to be it, he swore it.
"Whats your business here stranger?" he asked as the breeze blew gently, moving his blue feather from side to side upon his cheek.

Hakan instantly bristled at the tone of this other male's. Ugh Pridelanders, how he hated them. It made him angrier still to see that this one was younger than him, not even an adult yet.
The rogue swung around to face the brown male and huffed, throwing back his head. "I'll tell you my business when you've grown into your mane." He laughed.
Stupid youngsters, always trying to act tough. He smiled inwardly as he thought back to his own antics as a cub, strutting around as if he were the strongest lion ever to exist.
Then he had met Mrost and that dream was turned into a reality. Or so Hakan had been led to believe.

Inari growled lowly, narrowed his eyes at this other rogue. Who did he thinks he was? Who did he think he was talking to? He clawed into the ground bebeath his paws, "You should watch your tongue you know, you don't have any clue who I am," he said with a sly smirk.
Yes, let this rogue think he was the best, when in truth Inari was the best and would be the best, he would be a warrior, a warrior of War. He relaxed his shoulders, looked ove rhte male. He had a few scras Inari could see, not many though, unless they were hidden by the other's fur.
Pfft, rogues, thought they were the best.

Hakan's chest rumbled with a growl as he advanced slowly, his tail flicking irritably behind him. "Yes I do." He replied. "I've seen your kind before." He hid the fact that he actually quite liked this male, he reminded him so much of himself. Maybe Hakan sizing Inari up like this was just like a ceremony of sorts, to test the other one's strength.
"I know exactly who you are. You're one of those pathetic pride lions who lay down in the sun all day whilst your females hunt for you." He shook the mane from his eyes.
"Well for once in your life do something useful. Protect your ladies from a threatening rogue." He jerked forwards towards Inari, pausing just short of reach, wanting to provoke the younger to attack.
This would be fun.

Inari growled, "You know nothing of who I am!" he snarled, clawed deeper into teh ground, oh...how he wished to lash out at this male. But he wouldn't strike first, oh no, he would wait, he would wait...impatiently. "I hunt here, I don't lay in the sun, I train myself, I'll be a warrior one day, you'll see...I protect my friends and family....
I'll protect them from you, or anyone else," he said with a snarl. "You think your so determined? See this feather?" he said making a motion to it, "Don't know what it is do you? Then strike me and find out!" he growled.
Ooo, this rogue would find out the hard way.

Hakan smiled at this 'tough guy' and growled, eyes widening a little as the youth revealed the feather. Oh damn, a follower of Mrost. Did Hakan have any right to fight one of his own kind? He wondered briefly about it but thought he'd atleast play it a little bit more.
It'd be helping in a way, because he'd be training him, and that could only prove useful in the long run.
"Okay then Pridelander, show me what you know!" He bellowed, darting forwards again. He lowered his body, chest sliding across the ground as he swiped out at Inari with a forepaw. He was careful to keep his claws sheathed, however, as he didn't want to hurt the youngster, not really.
Just a test, yet another test.

Inari growled, watched this other rogue intently. He shifted his body weight and flicked his tail, he'd be ready, he'd protect everyone here from this...this male! His eyes narrowed, and he snarled as the other approached and swiped at him. If he was younger, he would've jumped into the air. But if he did that, he'd be exposed if this rogue male pushed up, so he side stepped/jumped to the ground, slid a bit, stopped and waited, claws digging in the ground.
He'd rather tire him out first, then run him out of the Pridelands.
He'd strike only if he had too.
"Too slow it seems..." he snarled, ready and waiting, but...he didn't have much experience with fighting others really, so he wasn't sure what to expect.

He laughed and straightened, shaking the mane from his eyes. "Good, yes. Very good." The words did not sound mocking. Then without hesitation he bounded forwards, a roar rumbling from his throat as he attempted to strike again.
This time he pushed himself up off the ground, forepaws outstretched as he attempted to crash his entire weight onto the younger lion.
Again the attack was meant only to daze, only to test. His claws were well hidden away and his teeth would not make a move.

Inari had a near shocked expression on his face, good? What the hell? He growled, was he trying to confuse him so he wouldn't know what to do next? Was he provoking Inari? Hmmm, he flicked his tail, stood ready in as strong as a stance he could pull off, his golden eyes watching the rogue.
His eyes went wide when the rogue pushed himself towards Inari, seeming like full force, he kind of stood there in awe, why would he... his thought was cut off. He had to move! He tried to jump backwards, though he hadn't really tried it before, so he slid, and stopped short.
Great, now he wouldn't be able to get out of the way. He growled deeply, a warning to not come any closer, he didn't want to lose a fight, what would Mrost think?

Seeing that the younger lion had not jumped back as far as he would have liked, Hakan slid to a halt, pulling up short of the younger so that contact wasn't made.
The moment his forward momentum ended he had bounded backwards, rearing up as if to box at the other's face with an outstretched paw.
"You call that an evasive move?" Hakan scorned. "Try again!" And the black lion lunged forwards again, intent on driving this lion into bounding away from him successfully.
Being on the defense was sometimes more important than offense, it often meant the difference between life and death. Hakan had always maintained that belief and though he had lost some of his agility with the increase of muscle he was still remarkably quick on his paws for such a hulking beast.

"The hell is with you?!" Inari growled as the male seemed to stop, was he testing him? The hell! He was a rogue adn he wasn't even attacking when he said he was going to? He was just toying with him? Inari snarled, lashed his tail, watched the other intently.
As he seemed to pretend to strike again or...something, Inari side stepped, crossed paws over one another easily, snarled. Should he attack him? Literally lash out at him? But, he was testing him, why? "Why are you doing this huh?" he wanted to know, there had to be some reason behind it.

Hakan did not reply at the lion's first exclamation and instead slipped sideways as if to circle the rusty lion. At his second question Hakan decided to answer.
"I know your master, lion." He replied and then pulled back and stopped, his eyes glittering with mischieviousness. That had been more fun than he had expected.
Perhaps he should have been a teacher.
"I'm sorry. I had to make sure you were worthy. And you are. My apologies." He shook the mane from his eyes and straightened. "It is good to meet a pridelander who is worthy of my Master."
He let that statement sink in and waited for the other's response.

Inari stopped, raised a brow at this foreigner, this guy knew Mrost? How could it be? Master? Mrost was his friend, and would teach him how to be a warrior, this stranger used strange words that confused him quite a bit. "Worthy?" he huffed, how would this guy know who was worthy of the god of war anyway? Why was he so keen on everything huh?
HIS master? Wait, he was a follower of Mrost too?
"So you know him too? Who are you anyway?" he was curious who this other male was. If he was here, perhaps Mrost was close by too?
