I thought there was another forum for this, but I couldn't find it. So...
Just give an embarrasing moment in band you had. Here's mine:

Right after our Veteran's Day assembly that the band played at, everyone was waiting outside our small bandroom waiting for someone to unlock it. So I went to get the key from the director, got to the band door, and sweatdrop ......I broke the key in the lock. It was already bending and the stupid door has to slammed all over the place just for it to work. But I know no one will forget. Well, I won't (can't). xp

Not my embarrassing moment, which is why I'm posting it ^^:

My boyfriend was marching on the field one day when his pants fell down. All the colorguard got a nice view. ^^ Sadly I was up front and didn't see.... lol

This isn't my MOST embarassing thing ( you will NEVER know that one)...
I don't think this even counts as embarassing. Anyway, this is when I found out that you should NEVER say "No", "I Can't" or anything else along those lines to your conductor.

G: *looking at me, my other french horn ditched me* "Ready for Shenandoah?"

----Pause----

NOTE: If you don't know what Shenandoah is, it's the weird piece (SUPER, SUPER SLOW) that crawls. French Horns (moi) get this cute soli thing at the beginning, and we basically rule the piece.

-------------Now, Back To Our Show ---------

Me: "Nope!"

And I get this LOOK. EVIL, EVIL LOOK.

Me: "I mean... yes? No. No way... um, maybe? Yes? No. Um...." *picks up French Horn and starts practicing*

XD My most embarrassing band moment... hm....

Well, one time last year we were sightreading a piece, and I wasn't counting nearly as well as I should've been, so I came in about a bar late and then the other first flute player came in a beat and a half after me. (The second flutes still had rest.) The BD cut us off, looked at us, and was like, "I never want to hear the flutes sound like that ever again." It was pretty bad.

I've also been yelled at in class (mostly my freshman year) for talking across the band room, which is kinda embarrassing. Well, not YELLED at, but glared at/had the BD say, "Megan!" kind of sharply. And then everyone stares at ME, even though it's all tenor-guy's fault, because HE was the one talking to ME. Jerk. xd

I tried to throw a double on my flag one day, and a gust of wind blew right when I released it. I panicked, looked around, trying to see it, and next thing I knew it had hit me in the head.
Ow. I looked really stupid....... darn wind......

it was the beginning of marching basics, to train the freshmen and so the upper classmen can brushup on their commands.

and so the leadership team separated and took a part of the band. they marched us around the parking lot yelling commands to their group. occasionally, one group would run up alongside, or into another group.

my group was in a line, and we were practicing slide techniques. i happen to then slide to the left, get called to a hault, and im standing less than a foot from another man.

it was more funny than embarrassing, but its the closest ill get.

I've messed up like that ALL the time, but our bd don't care if it's just practice... but at a concert/performance, he get MAD!!! I was surprised when he didn't get after me when i didn't move in the right spot in our MB performance

This one time I was standing around in the band hall before class talking to my friend Chris and spinning the suspended cymbal, and the cymbal fell off and fell on my toe. It was painful AND embarrassing!

During my freshman year in marching band we were scheduled to play in the auditorium for the pep rally. We marched in throught the doors in files and stood between the rows of seats. Well, I was last in my file and when we finished playing I didn't realize that I had to lead everyone out. An upperclassman had to yell at me to move in front of everyone. Oh well!

At our 2nd away football game of the year, while I was in the stands doing nothing (i had my saxophone on my neckstrap but i wasnt holding it with my hands) my sax just fell! i was standing completly still and all of a sudden it fell on the concrete stands! I picked it up to find that the bell had dented so it looked like it melted or something. Everyone was pointing at me and had an "OMG xd " look on their face and then some people took out their camera phones and took a picture. that was terrible x_x

Ooh, I remember last year this kid had on two left shoes right before we performed!! It was freakin hilarious!! I mean, how could you not notice two left shoes?? He must have been late, or something. I don't remember.

Oh, at a football game once, my friend Dalitso dropped her trombone slide down the stands! Twice! She had to go under the stands at the bottom and find it...
