Most people in my neigboorhood say that Wiccan are goths.

Alot of people called me Satan and Devil Girl. I didn't encourage this.
They also called me goth but 1. I don't consider myself goth and 2. I know it has nothing to do with religion.
One time this emo kid said "Just go home, light some candles and make yourself disappear!" This is also the kid that called me Devil Girl. I ignored his immaturity.

Well. I don't have those problems. But then again I do not tell everyone in real life that I'm a Wiccan. One of my friend told me that she believes that Wiccan followers are the devil's servant on earth. I told her that how the hell would she know. She just said it was in the bible.

Well the saw my pentagram necklace so they asked me if I was a wiccan and I told them yes they asked nicely so I didn't lie and some people think I'm a devil worshipper

Nothing like that's ever happened to me. I don't tell people I'm Wiccan, but if they ask I won't lie. I think only my friends actually know.

People are going to put you in that stereotype no matter what you say. You can be the sweetest person on earth, but if your beliefs do not match theirs, then you are considered "evil" or "strange".
If you are not part of the "mainstream" christian religion, then you are going to hell. I personally, would rather chew on glass than be part of another church like that. I honestly think that people should not be given the authority to say what beliefs are right or wrong. Don't take anything to heart. They get their judgements in the afterlife.

its silly to say that.. maybe some goths are wiccans, and some wiccans are goths, but they should stick the label on everyone.. (but there's nothing wrong with being a goth either)..

Cult: To follow a single LIVING person and follow what they say as the edicts of how you live your life. Jesus lived and was followed. The goddess was NEVER a living mortal being. 3nodding
Nothing meant as disrespect to Christians here, just pointing out a little known and ironic fact.

yeh.. this girl in my english class we had a discussion about this... she thought i was satanic.... and thought it was weird... (see im a nerd, work in a library) and threre are three of us who are wiccans and frineds and talked about it with her....

i heard someone say something to the effect of this in an email:
Christianity is like a court with a corrupt judge(God). If you do everything he tells you, give him everything you are and own, you will be released(Heaven). If you do even one thing off, even by mistake, you'll get the electric chair(Hell).
they didn't use this comparison, it was something different, but i remember the basic message, so i used a different similie.[]sp?[]

I used to get nicknames such as Devil Girl and Satan from my school mates. This wasn't because of my religion, though. They thought this because of the way I dress. They thought I was "gothic" and that it also accosaited with my beliefs. 1. I don't think I'm "gothic" and 2. The way I dress doesn't link to what I believe, religion wise (unless I was Muslumic [sp? O_o]).
(( By the way, they also thought the only color I ever wore was black and only black. This was entirely untrue!! whee ))
