Basking in the glorious sunlight was a young lioness. She was stretched out in her favorite position: on her back with all four legs stretched as far as they could, and her tail lifted and swaying lightly in the breeze. Spring was by far her favorite time of year. The weather was perfect for just laying out in the sun like this. It had to be good for her skin and fur, too. Not to mention her happy level. Later on, she should probablly groom a bit. The breeze, though comforting, sort of messed upp her hair flip.
Turning over on her side, she yawned dramatically. It was nice laying out like this, sure, but with no company it could get a little bit boring. The entertainment value of the sky was next to none. For some reason, there seemed to be no creature in this little section of the Pridelands, either. She never ventured too deep within the territory, since she wasn't a member, but usually there were at least a few lions near the border. What made today any different?

This time, Sen wasn't lost. She was aware she was nearing the borders. Perhaps she'd already passed them without realizing it. Her young mind had yet to comprehend that there were danger within her homelands as well. For now, as long as she stayed within the Pridelands, she was positive no harm could come to her.
The problem was that the Pridelands, safe as they may be, tended to be boring. They were full of lions, according to what her parents had been telling her, but somehow she'd only stumbled across a stranger a few times...
Aha! There was one! An odd one at that. Bright and not bright, all at the same time!
Sen slunk over and stared down at her. A second later, she was on her back, all four legs stretched and tail up.

Intombi lifted her head some, staring at the grey and white cub as it neared her. For a moment, she was curious if there were any lions her age in the Pridelands. It seemed everytime she came across one, they were younger or older. Nevermind for now, though. At least there was someone. She was just abut to roll off the ground when the smaller female layed down and flipped over, mimicing her own position. Some lions might be a bit weirded out by this, but Intombi was beyond pleased. She let her head thud back on the grass and sighed contently before turning her head on its side to look at her new company.
"Nice weather, huh?" She smiled brightly. "I'm Intombi." She wasn't certain if the cub was going to stay for long, but it did seem friendly at least. Maybe she liked grooming! The brown and pink juve had yet to find a lion in the savannah that enjoyed the art of clensing as much as she did herself.

The pale green eyes had been centered on Intombi since she was within range for them to see her. Sen tilted her head the same way, sneezing a little at the end. Oops! She'd broke the rule of her own game.
Her expression had been an observant one, otherwise blank, but now she brightened and smiled broadly. "Nice weather!" agreed the cub, adding shortly, "Sen!"

If anything, Sen was on the odd side. She was pleasant, though, and that was plenty for Intombi. If the cub was going to lay there in the sun with her for a while, then she alread had racked up plenty of brownie points. Plus, everyone can be odd sometimes. It added varit and zest to life, and if anything she wanted that right now. She was getting so bored lately, she thought her mind was going to explode. if she didn't join the pride soon, she didn't know what she would do. Lately, she'd been spending less and less time with her mother in the den. It was only a matter of time before she left one day for good.
"So... do you sunbathe often?" If they were going to lay there, best get a conversation going. It was always nice to be friendly. Though she had never actualy learned manners, she did have the sense to be happy and inviting.

The pale eyes squinted and strained at the sunlight boring down on them. She'd been told by someone that those with light eyes like hers could go blind if they looked directly at the big ball of fire. It was probably one of her (stupid) brothers who had said it, and if that was the case, she'd stare at it all day just as an act of defiance.
Well, maybe another day. Today, her eyes would have to take turns between the bright bright briiiight sun, and the other lioness. "Sunbathe...?" What did that mean? "Sunbathe?"
She was staring narrowly at the sun again. It needed a bath?

Intombi giggled a little. "Sunbathing is like... laying out in the sun like this, silly." She smiled happily, batting at the grass around her. When she was a cub, she used to lay out on a particularly smooth rock by a watering hole near her mama's den. Perhaps the younger crowd in the Pridelands wasn't really in to the whole soak up the sun thing, though. She wouldn't know; she was a rogue.
While she let the cub think over the concept of sun bathing, she blew gently at the grasses next to her head. They wiggled in such a funny way. It was almost as if they didn't like the wind, and wanted to get out of it. Intombi couldn't really blame them; she wasn't much of a fan of the breeze. It messed her hair up.

Laying out in the sun... Sen soaked the knowledge up into her mind, for now tucking it away until it would be of us again. Sunbathing, huh? Yes, she liked it alright. At least, with company. It would be boring alone.
Now what was she doing? The cub pushed herself up with her two front paws, leaning toward Intombi. Blowing...grass? Maybe there was some secret amusement to this she wasn't aware of as well.
Lowering again, she took a deep breath and released. Then, looked dissapointed her efforts hadn't matched the other females.

Tossing a glance at the smaller female, Intombi couldn't help but giggle a little. This game she was placing, some sort of copy cat thing, was a bit funny. She could honestly say she'd never done that as a young cub, and was unsure of how fun it would be. Then again, she'd never really had anyone to copy. Her brother was her own age and her mother was almost always off hunting. Plus, she was too fond of being herself to mimic some other personality. It would take away from her own inner (and outer) beauty. At least, that was the way she saw it. Her naive mind didn't let her see that cubs occasionally copy for enertainment and sometimes to learn.
"You live here in the Pridelands, yes?" She couldn't imagine the grey cub being a rogue. Though she herself was a bit on the young side, she hadn't started to venture into the pride territory until she was a juve. Of course, she had played on the borders and explored a bit, but never too far away from the safety of the den.

"Pridelands," Sen repeated, nodding once. She span in a circle, counter clockwise, stopping only when she was facing the big slab in the earth known as Priderock.
Though she didn't say anything, her eyes spoke for her: That's my home, right over there!
It was a nice place, even though it was a bit crowded. Sen, actually, prefered crowded. "Pridelands?" she asked Intombi.

Intombi was surprised to find she liked the little lioness. The lack of words made things far more intersting. Her gaze followed the other's towards the large rock in the distance. She'd never been that deep into the pride before, and was honestly a bit afraid to. So far, she'd yet to get picked up by a scout. As far as she could tell, they saw her as no danger; just a happy-go-lucky juve who ran off from Mama. Some day, though, she'd go in and ask for permission to stay. Perhaps her brother would come with her; Ma wouldn't, that was a sure thing. The older female seemed to enjoy the freedom that came with being a rogue. Intombi, however, was a social butterfly, and craved the interaction that only the pride life could provide.
Turning her head towards the little one, she only smiled and shook her head a bit. She was tempted to ask about why Sen didn't talk much, but she wasn't certain she'd get much of an answer. It was worth a shot, at least. For all she knew, the white and grey cub might just be playing some game. "Why don't you talk much, Sen?"

Playing a game was exactly what Sen was doing. It was an almost constant one. It would've been easy to echo or remain silent, but Sen decidedly graced the other lioness with an actual reply. The answer was simple, but no one had ever thought to ask.
"It's boring," she shrugged.

Intombi's brows flew up in surprise. Boring?! Why, the juve practically thrived on grooming and idle chat alone. she couldn't possibley imagine how any creature in the savannah might find talking boring. With her jaw wide open in shock, she hardly looked attractive but hardly cared. It was far too confusing a concept for her too even think of what she looked like, which as an extremely rare thing for her. Slowly, however, she regained her composure and managed to look somewhat intelligent while still staring blankly at the other female. "You think it's ... boring?" She looked a little skeptical. "Then what do you think is fun?" Hopefully, she could pull another answer from Sen before the game started back up again.

Sen rotated between looking for their opposing 'monster' and looking at Intombi. "Nothing," she answered shortly. A few seconds later she added, "Flying, but I haven't been able to." So, it didn't count as fun yet. The game was mildly entertaining. More so than having conversations.
Whatever had killed the bird was gone now, Sen decided.

ooc i'm so sorry this took forever. reaaaallly busy week. ;~; this week will be better, though, i promise. <3
"But you've got to know something that's fun!" When intombi had been as small as Sen, she had played all sorts of fun games with herself and her brother. She had gone exploring and met other lions, a wild dog, and a leopard! She had spent half of her days grooming on a nice flat rock by the watering hole near her Ma's den. She had sun bathed, just like today! It was insane to think that any lioness so small didn't think anything was fun. Even at her juvenile age, the brown and pink youngster found life in general to be intensely fun. She stared at the grey Pridelander, mouth open wide in shock. "We're going to find you something fun. Right now." Rolling onto her stomach, she pushed off the grownd and looked down at the younger female expectantly. They were going to find something that the other would think was fun, even if it took all day.
