Orpheus had nearly fallen over seeing what it was that the next class was about, flying... or at least the use of wings. He could only hope and see how this class went. One never knew there might be a time when he had at least one class that involved flying that didn't become a total mess... maybe... hopefully. He'd of course signed Ligeia up to helping out with the class since the boy had wings of his own and it would be rather helpful to the learning process. And as it was he had gone out the other night with Z so they were surely friends right? That helped out even more.
They were outside enjoying the warming weather waiting for Z to arrive, he'd called and left a message to say where the class was going to be held so that she wouldn't mistakingly go instead to the classroom.

Zyan arrived her mother in tow, she looked less than impressed that her mother had decided to 'escort' her to her lesson, knowing full well the only reason she was here was because she wanted to talk to Orpheus.
With a sigh she wondered if she would get to see Ter today, the thought cheered her up a bit. Still a bit embarrassed from the last time they had gotten together she surely did want to see him again. And without the two older silblings....ug that would be nice.
"Ma you don't have to come with me..." she lamented knowing full well her mother would ignore her groans.
Jayoku walked with a bounce in her step and in her hair. Today she would get ot have tea! Tea with Orpheus. Now why did she always invite people to tea? She didn't even like tea.....i just seemed her default offer. Tea? Coffee? She should really ask if they wanted to go for dinner, or dessert somewhere....
She looked to Zyan as she spoke and only smiled.
"Oh honey I am just dropping you off, once you are done give me a call on my cell and I will be right over." she teased knowing full well this irked her child.
They entered the premises both of them talking to each other in a annoyed tone that was quickly silenced by Jayoku's rambuncious wave.
"Hello there!" she chimed happily. Zyan looked as if she couldn't wait for her mother to leave.

Orpheus looked up from what he was doing when he heard both footsteps and voices, alright there was his student now! Promptly too that was good, gave them plenty of time to work on the skill. He then turned to look over at Jayoku and gave her a smile and a wave, "Hello again." He greeted her.
He lowered his clipboard to his side and looked up into the sky for a moment as if looking for something, then lifted a hand to his mouth to give a loud whistle. A moment later Ligeia gave down from where he had been lazily gliding about on a warm air currently to land next to his father, "Alright, now that your both here. Zyanya if you don't mind Ligeia is going to be assisting in todays class since it has to do with wings."
Geia gave a smile at Z, "Hello, its nice to see you again." As sweet as ever.

Ug. Ligeia was going to help? Zyanya felt a bit ill but hid her feeling well. SHe forcecd a smile on her face and gave a wavering laugh.
"aha...sounds great." she managed to cough out while her mom cast a glare towards her. Gee..great ma was here too...
Jayoku smiled and then tilted her head ina cute fashion putting a finger close to her mouth before speakin.
"Don't forget Tea afterwards." she reminded Orpheus and then turned to leave. "Zyan will call me when her class is over. I hope it goes well. Bai bai honey!" She said with a wave towards her daughter though the honey part could of been directed to zyan or orpheus. It was rather obscure.
Zyan sighed relieved her mother was now gone. "So...Ligeia is going to show me how to fly? I don't think I could 'fly' like he does." putting emphases on the word he, as if she was trying to remind Ligeia to act more manly.

"Shes nice." Orpheus said, referring to Jayoku. Poor, dumb, oblvious man... He turned to Z and Geia, "No, not flying like he does more like some gliding I think you can do with your type of wings some bouncing/fluttering stuff. To build up your wing muscles and to see what you can do." They were going to test the waters first.
Geia blinked a couple times unsure what the emphasis on 'he' meant, maybe she didn't like him? He hoped that wasn't the case as he was friend with Chath and Z was friends with Ter, they were likely to cross paths...

Zyan looked to Orpheus doubtful. she had never raelly used her wings before...she had found them pretty useless. Flaring them up she looked to them over her shoulder.
"Um.....so...should I make them move or something?" she inquired unsure of what to do next. She looked to Ligeia again, though there was no ill intent in her words she still seemed to come across as annoyed.

Ligeia gave a jump when Zyanya opened her wings before looking them over, "Pretty." He murmured, understanding why Ter had praised her wings. They were rather neat to look at, pretty colors too, "Ahh, yes. Well first just jump then flap, its a bit of a silly exercise but does help to build the muscles up." The owl said, demonstrating but jumping into the air, gave a flap that brought him up a little higher then landed again.

Jump? and flap? It wasn't like her wings could do the exact same movements as Ligeia's. Zyan moved them. They made a light buzzing sound as she did so. stopping them she then did as instructed though felt a bit silly.
"Ok...jump." she said as she did jump into the air, "then fla..." she started but once she started flapping she found her vertigo thrown off and she went crashed sideways to the ground. ok...maybe she flapped too hard.

Ligeia winced, "Here, if you want you can take my hands and try again. That way I can catch you." He offered, he'd done the same for Revon and Keivlos both so he was sure he could the same for Zyanya. While they wouldn't be flying the same he was sure it would help some at least with steadying her.

Hold....hands? Zyanya's response was merly staring at Ligeia like he had three heads. Standing back up she recalled how Ligeia had taken care of her ankle so well...she could trust him..but still.
"No thanks. I will be better on my own." she replied codly. Now if Orpheus offered it wuold be different. He was an adult plus actually actually acted like a man.
Trying again she jumped into the air and flapped her wings, with not as much enthusiasm as before, this time she didn't end up on her butt but landed a bit unsteadily on her feet.
"Better right?" she asked looking at Ligiea with hard eyes.

Orpheus was watching, taking some notes it would seem as they worked on the first step to the flying, Zyanya's wings did seem to move differently then Ligeia's did. It would make taking cues from the owl as more of hints then as 'how tos' since they were so different. He wondered if she would end up more of a glider like Vivina then a flyer like the birds. Maybe after she got a bit of practice with the jump-flap then they could try to do some gliding exercises.
"A couple more of those then we are going to try something else." Orpheus called over ot them.
Ligeia nodded, "Much better that time." He said, then looked over at his father curious as to what his next idea would be before turning back to Zyanya.

Zyan looked over to Orpheus as if she wanted rescueing from this weirdo homo girl guy. But she only sighed and then went back to work. More huh? At least she knew Ligeia wasn't making fun of her, though it was hard not to be friendly and nice to someone like Ligeia. It was just plain un-natural!
One two one two Jump flap jump flap. her flying was more like a bee's wings. Up and down and it tended to push her forward instead of lift her upwards.

"Alright, come on this way." He said, going over to where he had a table set up. It was only supposed to be to hold anything that may be needed for outside classes but this time he had another idea, "Hop up here? We are going to have you do some gliding, just simply jumping and letting your wings carrying you to the ground. Its strength training as well as me getting a better feel for how your wings work."
Ligeia walk over to wait out of the way, watching and waiting for if he were needed again.

Ahh...why did Ligeia have to stay? With a sigh she did as she was instructed and then waited for him to explain. Glide? Yah that sounded like something she would be better at doing than actually flying.
Blinking she looked down off of where she was standing and then strightened her body out. Okay...gotta do ths right. Jump...and then flap.
She had to close her eyes briefly it wasn't like she was heigh of the ground but it still felt weird to be jumping off. She did as she was told and jumped. Her wings buzzed into life and when she felt the ground touch her feet she realized she had actually moved forward because of her wings.

Orpheus gave a clap, "That was good, really good. No crashing." He said, thinking back to the first time that he'd had a class that involved jumping and gliding. It also involved Vivina crashing into Ligeia also with lots of other crashing... he gave a bit of a grin thinking about that, "I am very glad for that." Might be the first class that involved wings that didn't have a crash course.
"If you would try that a couple more times, just so that you can get used to the sensation of flying and then we will try actual flying after that?" He was sure that he saw how the wings were working so he would better be able to help once she started really flying.
