Reginald sighed and stepped inside his house. He only had an hour until sunrise and was bored. "Kaisui~! Love? Where are you~?" The vampire bounded in to see his boyfriend and paused. He wasn't in the lengthy aquarium that ran across the house... His heartbeat wasn't at the right tempo. It was in the coffin room.... that wasn't normal. "Love...?" He asked in a hushed tone as he rounded into the room. No other heartbeats but Kaisui's was slow... He had to clench his jaw to keep from screaming.

Two vampires stood in the room with Kaisui chained to the coffin. He was badly beaten and barely alive. Two pinpricks in his neck but he wasn't changing. He coughed and wheezed trying to say something to warn the vampire. To get him away as fast as he could but nothing would come out. His skin had taken on a steely gray but the bites wouldn't let him change to his normal form. "Re....gin...."

"Well if it ain't our old pal, Reggie! Whatcha up to?" A younger sleeked face vampire asked bouncing up to his ally. “Do ya remember us? Yah we're the ones you ******** over.”

“Pardon...?” He asked raising an eyebrow, more concentrated on ways to save Kaisui. The long haired male was dying very quickly and he was unable to do anything.

“Did your memory fail you?” The chipper one asked, wiping blood off of his lip. Reginald twitched, that was Kaisui's blood... “The group of us out huntin? You decided to SCREW us when the hunter came? We had to kill the poor guy but not before you turned in Jim.”

“I didn't turn in Jim. Jim was a loony. He ran around screaming “I'm a Vampire. I'm invincible.' and expected not to die.” The vampire was edged toward the coffin, pulling a pin out of his pocket. “So what are you planning on doing?” He gasped suddenly as a rope bounded him .A third vampire making himself known behind Reginald.

The second vampire grinned, flashing his fangs. “First were going to mess you up a bit and then we're going to stake you.” He tapped Reginald's heart. “Right there.”

“I didn't kill him or leave him to die!”

The shorter one shrugged. “Well, see... we came all this way and now we wanna do it anyway.”

Reginald growled, his eyes going red. How DARE they! His boyfriend was dying and they were doing this for fun. “You morons! At least heal Kaisui!” His eyes shifted to his wounded boyfriend and his heart tore. He was barely breathing, eyes half lidded. “Please... He didn't do anything to you...”

“Aw look! He's beggin! Why don't you get on your knees, beg us, grovel, and we'll consider saving him.” The three men joined in a chorus of laughter.

The Hispanic vampire narrowed his eyes. If that was how they wanted to play it. His senses told him it was daylight. Only one choice now. He put all the weight he could down on his legs then swung suddenly to the right, sending the man holding him flying into the covered window. Light shot through and into the talkative one, turning him to ash. His buddy was next, all he could do was scream.

Now for the last one. He stood trying to keep below the window, horror struck. “What the hell! You're gonna die now! Do you realize that stupid?!” He shouted angrily as the sun's rays made their way into the room. He bolted, rushing for the door only to turn to ash halfway through.

The only vampire left hugged the shadowed walls and made his way to his coffin. “Kaisui...?” He whispered, kneeling down carefully and touching the other's face. “Please... speak to me.. Wake up...”

Kaisui's heart was at its last beats, his body a deathly cold.

Reginald closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, tears of blood sliding down his face. “Oh Kaisui... what have they done...” He rested his head on his boyfriend's prone form and took his hand. “We'll go together then, love... Forgive me...” He faintly smiled as his hand was squeezed his hand back, lovingly.

Kaisui was left dead with a handful of ashes.

The spirits in charge of bonding gods and guardians groaned silently, vanishing the pile of ashes that had been Reggie and Kaisui's body to their realm. Their master had told them not to bother killing this one off, that he'd get himself killed easily enough. But boy was it messy. Luckily they had thought to send a wind to blow the ashes of the others away before Reg let himself die. Otherwise there would be a very sticky situation on their hands.

Repairing the damage that sunlight does on the body of a vampire isn't exactly an easy task. But a bit of effort and he was fixed up right. As for Kaisui, repairing beatings and whatnot was no trouble. He would be back to normal-well as normal as a lifeless body can be-without much time at all. The two were left, with gold and silver chains on their necks, on the Tison space ship, the Samadueanna, to wake up and deal with a small child who would be informing them of a new crimp to their lifestyle.

Their souls-or as much of a soul as one would have in that situation-were taken to the place where the souls of the Tison gods resided. Two deities chose them, bonding both the couple and each other together. Though none remembered this it had taken place and was rather significant. When the bonding had completed a relic appeared on the chain around each man's neck and the two were sent back to their bodies, allowed to wake up now, safely in a bed together. The downside of that was that there was a child present and they couldn't celebrate just yet.

Kaisui awoke first and sat himself up in confusion. Had he been dreaming...? He blinked when he realized he was untied and not hurt in anyway and that the vampire was napping against his chest. "Reg? Ya alrigh'?" He asked shaking the vampire slightly. He always looked so... dead. It was frightening and he often had to check.

The vampire opened his sleepy blue eyes and stared at Kaisui's green ones for a moment. "........ Why are you in Hell?" He muttered then glanced around. "And whys Hell look like a waiting room?"

"We're not dead, Reg. It wasa...dream?" He glanced down at the boy and blinked. "Well ain't you a cutie? Mind tellin' us wha's goin' on? This ain't the place we were at."

"Can I go back to sleeeep? Its daylight and we're not dead." The vampire whined ignoring the child.

"It's daylight? I didn't know that." Dia said, looking out the large window at the dark sky and stars. "I only know what time it is when Mommy tells me and when we're on a planet. I'm Diyaka! You're Kaisui yes?" he asked the more live looking one. Dartie had read that the dead looking one was called Reggie and the live looking one was Kaisui. That's what the PDA thing had said. "And what's a 'hell'?"

"'ell is a place that's bad. Ya should never try ta go there." Kaisui pushed off the vampire and smiled. "Yup, mah name's Kaisui! Diyaka is a--HOLY 'ELL REG! WE'RE IN SPACE!" The man let out a purpose like noise and tried to shake the half asleep man. "Ain't ya listenin?! SPACE!"

Reginald snapped lightly at his boyfriend's fingers before sitting himself up. He gazed out at the stars and the darkness and seemed to wake up slightly. "Oh... " His gaze finally found the child and he stared. "Excuse me, but by chance do know WHY we're in the middle of space? Because if this is a dream its really.....odd."

"SPACE!" Kaisui had jumped off the bed to stare out the window. "Ain't it cool? I can't swim in it but ain't it awesome?!"

"...Kaisui, focus please."

"I am! Its SPACE!"

"Stop saying it like that!"

"You are in space cause that's where the spirits put you when they brought you back to life....or undeath in your case." he said to Reg. "And they put you here because apparently you're going to be guardians."
"Guardians....?" The burly man finally turned around, stooping down to the kid's level. "Of wha...? Who exactly is ya?"

"Undeath....oh ... so we did... die." Reginald had gained a slightly sickened look. He was well passed confused and was unsure if he should believe or not believe this. "Vampires can't be brought back....at least that's what I was told."

"I am Diyaka, reborn version of the Tison god of fire. And you two were picked by something or another to become guardians of other reborn gods." the boy said, with a nod. Under his arm they were now able to see was a large brown book and in his other hand was a strange PDA type Device.

Reginald stared flatly at the child, disbelieving. He glanced up at his boyfriend who was about ready to shift back into a dolphin from excitement. Oh goody... "Listen, I would love to speak with an adult. That means someone older then you."

"What's wrong with the kid, Reg? I think he's plum adorable." The man patted the top of Dia's head with a grin. "Don'tcha think so?"

"I hate kids."

"That's mighty depressin' right dhare." He turned his attention back to the God of Fire. "Can ya tell me more 'bout this?"

"Well I can tell you that your boyfriend will not be pleased on two accounts. Firstly the adults are all on other business and so he cannot speak to an adult. And also he will also be displeased due to the fact that the reborn gods are going to be children for some time. And you will have 2 of them by the fact that you both have relics. I can look up which gods they are for you and try to explain why the gods need to be reborn but other then that I can't help either of you until we get back to your proper location when we will send you home." Diyaka said cheerfully. He liked this guy! He was nice. The other one though was odd....and he didn't completely understand what Dartie had meant when she said the guy was Kaisui's boyfriend. Maybe he was better then a best friend. Like Vishal was to him!

Kaisui blinked and touched the relic on his neck. "Well wha' do ya know! I gots one too!" The dolphin man let out a string of noises that sounded like squeals. His boyfriend twitched and stood, kneeling down by his lover. "Reg! Ya gotta pretty one too! What do we get cause I've been meanin' ta ask Reggie 'bout adoptin'!"

"You were what....?" He asked distractedly then placed his fingers on his necklace. When had...? Did he drink blood from a drunk man again? "Love, we need to talk, in private."

The heavyset man blinked at the other then smiled, kissing him. He pulled back grinning like an idiot. "Just relax, hon. I like wha' this kid's offerin'. Sides we can't toss two kids out on dhare a--er... bums!"

"Yes. Yes we can."

Diyaka shook his head. "It's not that simple. Plus there are benefits from it that I shall explain at a later time. For now I think I will just figure out what deities you two have." he said, poking buttons on the PDA. "There we go. Can you read that for me please?" he asked, holding up the PDA to Kaisui.


"It says..." The man squinted then looked to his boyfriend sheepishly.

The vampire sighed. "Guardian: Reginald. Deity: Vice. Gu--wait vice? Why do I get vice and he gets virtue."

"I ain't commentin' on tha' one."

"Funny."

"Virtue and Vice. Okay." the boy said, opening the large book. "Show us Virtue and Vice" he called to it, causing the pages to turn magically. It was strange, the book was large and old and leather bound but the pages looked brand new like out of a magazine, glossy and lovely. The two deities it displayed-on opposite pages-did seem quite different from each other.

The first was smaller, thin and lovely, with short spiky brown hair, and a goatee. He was thinly muscled and wore a dark red velvet suit with a high collared white shirt under it. he was standing in a ballroom and was holding a glass of wine that held a bloody tint. He was smiling slightly, showing fangs, and there was a delicious mystery in his eyes.

On the other hand, Virtue, was thin and gentle looking, sitting in a room that seemed made of crystal. He was feminine with long golden hair, large gentle eyes, and loose robes. His body was slender and he seemed almost of porcelain. His hair hung to his ankles almost and he glowed as brightly as the gems on his golden jewelry-which seemed to weigh his fragile body down.

Both were gorgeous in their own manner and both had the same color eyes as well as pointed up rounded tipped ears. Something just said that these two had been high class.

Reginald stared, jaw agape. Ooooh wow. Now if only they weren't going to be his kids and weren't dead...

Kaisui smiled and nodded. "They seem like good people 'cept tha' one looks like a vampire and tha' one looks lika gal." He tilted his head to the side. "I like the one with the pretty stones 'round 'im. Do they got names?"

"Mmm I like the looks of that vampire..."

"Ya pervert! Dem are our kids!"

The vampire let out a sigh.

Diyaka giggled a bit. These two were funny. "They do but most people don't call them by their old names. I'd have to do research to find out. I could show you what I looked like too if you want a guess at how similar to this they'll look like when they get older."

Kaisui shook his head. "Naw, tha's alrigh'! We can think of names for 'em, can't we Reg?"

"How about dum--"

"Nothin' bad!" He wagged his finger at the vampire, nearly getting it bit off in the process. "If ya ain't good you'll get grounded."

"From wha--Ooh..." His eyes widened when he caught Kaisui's look. "Fine! I'll be good. We'll name the kids something nice. Vice can be Vice."

"Reg..."

"Its a good name!"

"Vice is nice name." Diyaka agreed. "It's not as bad as something Dartsmoore would call a kid."

"Ha! See now the kid is on my side!" He stuck his tongue out at Kaisui only to get pushed down. "Heeey!"

"Then I'll call mine ....Horus."

"But I can't say that right... I always take the 'H' out of names." The vampire pouted trying to pick himself back up.

"Then ya can call 'em 'Orus."

"Fine, fine." Reginald glanced down at Diyaka and smiled, showing his fangs. "It must be strange for you two see two boys so ...close."

"Don'tcha tramatize tha' boy!"

"Not really. I've been to metriyika. Everyone there is male. But half the species are girly males who are really smart and the other half are really strong and macho. They're nice. They have a good marketplace. I go there to visit my uncles with Mommy." the boy said with a nod. "And your fangs are pretty but Codin has bigger ones."

"You speak too properly for your age..." The vampire said frowning. "My fangs are plenty big."

"Are ya callin' Reg a gal?"

"More so then you."

"...I think yer supposed ta be offended."

"No I'm just saying that I've seen boys close. Actually I've seen worse since I once walked in on my uncle and his husband doing something I don't want to repeat but that's another matter." the boy said "And Codin's are still bigger." he said, poking the book. "Show Codin." the book glowed for a second and suddenly flipped to what looked like a moving picture of a young man with long black hair, somewhat dusky skin, and fangs that were WAY too big to be a vampire's. They were also thicker. They were only huge on the top though and hung out over his lower lip. This time however it wasn't a glossy photo.

The man blinked a few times up at them then turned to Diyaka. A strange voice filled the room. "Deeyach are jhu yooseeng Shahrlayne'z boohk ageehn?" he asked in a thick accent.

"I just wanted to show them your fangs."

Reginald pointed dramatically. "What sort of vampire are you and what the HELL did he just say?"

"He said 'Diyaka are ya usin' ... I didn't catch the name...'s book again!"

The vampire just stared at him like he was crazy.

"I speak dolphin! I can understand 'nythin'!"

: "Ah hallffe breehd vahmpiehre ash jhu miyecht sahgh." he answered calmly.

"He said Charlene. That's Dartsmoore's first name."

"Ah that's why I couldn't get it..."

Reginald tugged on his boyfriend's shoulder with a small whine. "What'd he--"

"'A half breed vampire ya might say'. Right?" He asked the man with a friendly smile. "Sorry ta have bothered ya. Reg thinks he's 'big' ya know? When other people have bigger fangs he gets a bit antsy."

"I do noooot...."

Codin laughed loudly, a full set of pointed teeth showing as he did as well as a bit better view of the snowy forest he was in. "Cohmplehtleh. Thacht esh hoh maih seeshteir esh." he told him through his fangs. "Eef jhu reealhy wahnt ah shoh loohek uhp Shahrlayne"

"Naw, thanks anyways! We gots ta learn 'bout our Gods. Thanks fer everythin Codin!" He waved with a pleasent smile on his face. Reginald was evnious of that smile. He could make friends with anyone or anything. It was annoying.

Diyaka close the page and looked thoughtful. "Actually if you want to learn more about them, then talking to Dartie would be the best. She's the last member of the tison historian clan. if anyone can tell you about your deities it's her."

"How OLD are you? You talk like you're forty!"

Kaisui ignored Reginald's outburst. "But ya said they're gone for a while, right? Don' worry 'bout it den. How long til we get our kids?"

"No. I'm currently 7. I died at 27. And I can contact her on here. As for how long that's 2 days." the boy said with a nod. "Mommy and Dartie and Tan Pan teach me to be professional so I can help out."

“I really wanna play with tha' book." Kaisui murmured until a small crash caused him to jump. "What da 'ell?" He glanced over to look at Reginald and frowned.

The vampire had suddenly passed out and was curled into a tiny ball. He seemed purely dead, no movement at all but Kaisui understood. The vampire suddenly crossed his arms over his chest and muttered about 'kids'.

"He hasn't gotten much sleep or eaten much lately....." Kaisui explained placing the vampire's head in his lap and stroking his hair. "Ya can show me Charlene if ya want but afterwards can I put 'im somewhere? He's exhausted."

"Sure. The bed's behind you. That'll work for now." he said cheerfully. This guy was fun!

The dolphin picked up Reginald and laid him out on the bed. "Dhare ya go, love." He whispered, pulling his legs out so they were straight and recrossing his arms. "Ya stay dhare for justa bit." He sat back down on the floor in front of Dia. "Alrigh' kid! Show meh this laday."

Diyaka looked at the book. "Show us Dartie." and once again the pages flipped.

This time the glossy image was of a short woman with the biggest most phallic hair ever. She had tattoos along her bared arms and stomach and seemed to have just killed something with an...umbrella and was bandaging an arm wound. "Hey kid." she said, not looking up. She knew who was using her book. When she did look up, she had to face somewhat off to the side so that she could see. Her hair nearly broke out of the image for some reason. "And hello to you too Kaisui."

"ello ma'am." He said politely supporting a strong smile. "I jus' wanted ta know 'bout our Gods. Yer little kiddo 'ere is a great professional," He winked at Dia. "but I wanna know much as I can 'bout 'em. Reg is 'ere too, he jus' passed out."

"So I figured. And which two have you got. Dia didnt' show me that part of the information." Dartsmoore said calmly. "And just call me Dartsmoore. Ma'am is a term used for peopel like my mother."

hieirocks16: "Well o'course Laday Dar'smoore! I got virtrue, I'm namin' 'im Horus and Reg has got vice but he's lazah and callin' 'im Vice."

"Ah. Terelas and Sumeikin. Which you wanna know about first." She said. Randomly in the background a giant black looking monster seemed to leap up. Before a word could be uttered Dartsmoore had raised a hand and skewered it with her umbrella-a few drops of blood flying out of the book and landing on the floor. It hadn't exactly seemed like a living creature-just an eerily glowing darkness-so it wasn't scary. It's blood was black though.

"Uh... Terelas...." Kaisui said slowly, glancing over his shoulder to make sure the odd blood didn't wake up Reginald. It didn't, the vampire was snoring contently.

"Terelas......deity of vice. Age of death 33. King of Phyfin after his mother's death. Generally favored the more vampiristic side of the Phyfin nature. Elder brother to Sumeikin by 15 minutes and the very definition of his power. Terelas was known throughout Tison as Taran's Vice because of his and his brother's mixed blood. Son to Taran, the king of Saruria and Seika, queen of Phyfin. He was said to have a love of drinking, gambling, sleeping around, cheating at games, and was known to be quite a con artist and cad. He made a good king though. Did a bit too much partying for my liking but he was good at his job."

Kaisui stared at her blankly for a second. "Wow... sounds like Reg...." He said after a few minutes then fingered his necklace. "Whad'a bout Horus?"

"Sumeikin, deity of virtue, age of death, 30, King of Saruria after his father's death. Was interested in books, music and a little dance. He prefered to hide in the orchestra's chamber during a party rather then be the life of it like his brother. Younger then Terelas he favored the more light like nature of the Sarurians and tended to avoid his brother's nightly parties. Though very meek he was diplomatic and charming and did many good things for his realm. He was one of the earlier deities who was killed by Jujike as both were light beings and the god of light felt that Sumeikin would be a threat to his position as deity of light after his betrayal. It was Sumeikin's death that caused the separation of Lolian and Saruria."

"Tha's real sad... but why'd someone light go evil?" He wondered allowed and smiled down at his relic. "Don' worry Miss Dar'smoore! Ill take real good care of 'em! Reg will too. He acts mean but he's really nice when he ain't 'round lotsa people."

"Just a moment. Dia move back and put down the book." The woman instructed. The boy did as told and both watched as suddenly her hands reached out and came completely out of the book and after that followed the small woman, her arm still bleeding profusely under her makeshift bandage. "Now. I have no worries about your guardianship of the kids. Whatever picks them has been picking good ones so far. As for the story of why Jujike went evil, Diyaka will have to leave the room for that."

Kaisui shook his head and jerked a thumb at the sleeping vampire. "I needa let him rest. He got a coupla scares taday not ta mention he's only half asleep." He didn't explain how he could tell with the vampire looking like he was dead. "I jus' think I need ta process the information I got. If ya don' mind o'course." He stood up and ripped off part of his shirt, standing he offered it to the woman.

Dartie waved a hand at it. "I'm good. We have a doctor on the ship, not that I need one. I've been an assassin for a few hundred gaian years. I have had worse." she said. "You two rest up a bit. Anna will just teleport you guys back home when we get there." the woman informed him ushering Dia out of the room ahead of her and walking out after him-shutting the door so they had privacy.

Kaisui laid down by Reginald and stared up. "Whatcha think? I know yer not asleep."

The vampire's eyes snapped open. "I woke up when I hit the floor.. although I've drifted in and out." He shut his icey orbs and breathed deeply. "I think... it'll be a change."

"For the better?"

"That has yet to be seen. Although I really do not like kids."

"Maybe you'll like these ones? Ya can teach 'em not take make yer mistakes."

He chuckled. "One of them sounds like the embodiment of my mistakes." He yawned and snuggled closer to Kaisui. "Gotta sleep now."

"Go 'head. I'm righ' 'ere." After about ten minutes both of them were asleep. Exhausted by what had happened.

They were still asleep when the ship put them down in their home. And yet another set of guardians had received their task.
