User ImageShocking...

I seriously need some critique and help on my custom old school theme. The WIP is my current profile, if you want to see what it looks like, so far. Here is what I have:
body { background: #FFBB00 url('http://www.filehigh.com/serve/25060/352078.gif') cursor: url('http://www.filehigh.com/serve/25060/352075.cur')}

#extendedProfileBody #header, #content { border-right: 0px; }
#content { border-right: 0px; }
#content { border-right: none; }

#extendedProfileBody #header h1 { background: #FFBB00 url('http://www.filehigh.com/serve/25060/354630.jpg') no-repeat; width: 482px; height: 325px; position: relative; left: -5px; top: -5px;}

#content { background: #FFBB00 url('http://www.filehigh.com/serve/25060/352078.gif') border: 0px; border-right: 0px; color: #FF7900; top: -3px ; position: relative; left: -5px; }
#content #sidebar { left: 520px; width: 230px ; }
#content #main { margin-left: -25px; width: 500px; }
#content #journal { display: none; }
#content #signature { display: none; }

a:link { #8C7952; }
a:active { #8C7952; }
a:hover { #E78E52; }
a:visited { #E78E52; text-decoration: line-through; }

#profile h2 { background: #FFBB00; }
#profile { background: #FFBB00; }
#profile .items { display: none; }

#friends #friendGroup li { border: none; }

The problems I have are that the front of the text is cut off. Anyone know how to remedy that? Also, is it possible to move my avatar picture further up and if so, then how? Is it possible to make the white edges of the multimedia transparent and if so, then how, and if not, then can I replace them with another image and how exactly would I go about doing that?

Thanks much!

Get rid of left: -5px; in # content.
#multimedia {background: none;}

What browser are you using?
