I've noticed that several of our members have book/writing related careers (or planned careers). So I wonder, do you work with books? Do you write professionally? Would you like to have a more bookish job?
Right now I work as a waitress and a part-time dance teacher, but I'm working towards my B.A. in English Lit. I plan to teach high school communications while I try to get published.

I want to own my own bookshop/cafe/coffee house. Where people can shop for books or food. I have always wanted a little shop like that! Perhaps even have a florist section in it.

I volunteer after school at the local library and I am a maid at a biotech firm.

I'd love to get a job at my local Half-Price Books. I love the place a lot. It has a better selection than Barnes and Noble at a greatly reduced price. And the Half-Price seems to allow quite a bit of half-assing. It has a nice atmosphere too.

Meh, I'm not old enough to get a job, and when I do I'm going to be a violinist. But my mom has plans to purchase this cafe that is going out of buisiness and to turn it into a used bookstore. heart

I'm looking for a job, but i write, and I'd love to be a librarian, though I'm not what you'd believe a librarian would look like, I look more like a Biker sweatdrop

In high school I volunteered in the library, I work in the 7 story library on my college campus, over the summer I've been working in a used bookstore, I'm working on a BA in English Writing, and I want to write fantasy novels/run my own used bookstore/be a librarian.
Oh, and if it were possible I'd be a paper master as well. 3nodding

Once I graduate from High School, I will be working my way toward becoming a librarian. I plan to get a MLIS. Maybe if I stop being lazy/busy, I would also like to be a writer.

heavenly 3nodding all day long reading! where's the fiction section, and might as well point out a few more because i'll have the library read in an hour! scream mrgreen I wish... sweatdrop oh well... I can dream right? heart

I've been writing since I was in 1st grade and would love to become a writer. If not, a librarian, or even a book store owner, would be great.

i once worked at a book store, but that was short lived, due to my reading during work hours XP.
as for what i want to do, i want to write for some kind gaming mag, im also a big gaming freak.
