Questions comments or statements on the playstation 3. recently sony stopped selling the $500 version of the PS3. Is this a nail in the PS3s coffin? Do you think that the blue ray drive is really that necessary?
Personally I think that it's a great gaming console. The blue ray is basically completely unnecessary. Its driven the price up and pushed back the release date. I think it's priced out of it's market. While it is the cheapest of all blue ray disc players right now personally I wouldn't spend that much money on a player for something that may or may not catch on. At the time PS2 came out DVD had pretty much been solidified as the new standard in video.

I think that the PS3 sucks so far because there arent any good games for it right now and I dont want to be murdered by someone trying to steal a PS3 and there was a story on the news that a highschooler bought 2 of them but he got killed by someone tying to steal them.

I for one refuse to buy the PS3 its too expencive for too defective a contraption. My friend has baught three of them, all but one of them has exploded to date. Not a chance in hell am I taking the same risk untill they fix those problems.

I'm just waiting for my birthday to roll around so my parents will buy it for me. Who cares that they're taking off the $500 ps3's? No one's buying them anyway.

i'm waiting for the price to drop, the errors to be fixed, or a game that i really, really, need to play comes out only for PS3

i honestly don't think that the price will go down anytime soon for the PS3 sony is already selling them at an about $200 loss (they cost a little over $800 to make each). it's actually a really big gamble on sonys part because sony is pretty much banking on the fact that blue ray will become the standard. does anyone know if squaresoft has a contract with sony to put final fantasy XIII or KH3 on the ps3 because they put FF3 on the DS and not the PSP.

My older sister and I are saving up for one,so by the time we've got enough (In a few months.) the should have fixed everything. I hope. xd

In before MGS4 comes out, the ONLY reason i'm buying a ps3

I think that it will be far better than the other consoles, the only really dissapointing thing is the price. It's ridiculously overpriced, mainly because of the blue-ray part of it, and no one will buy it at that price when they can get an xbox or a wii at half the price.

god i'm just waiting fo rth eprice to go down by thin i'll get it. that way i can get the remade version of Final Fantasy VII to come out. and also to get the new Kingdom Hearts III game when it comes out.

The PS3 ain't all that at the moment, but give it some time.

And if they ever make the new SSX game for it.
