I wrote this poem for a friend on gaia that died, Terry Winters, in her honour. I hope you all like it.
As winter nears the earthly world, Birds fly south to seek warmer lands, Trees shed their leafy canopies And the world slowly wilts away. The fish hide under an icy sheath, Covering the quiet pond. No frog croaks, no bird sings And the wind no longer stirs the leaves. The forest is a place of death.
But Terry Winters once lighted the forest. When she called, The birds came back from the hot south And sang their cheery songs. When her feet crunched the carpet of leaves, Trees grew back leaves, flowers and fruits And the wind happily rustled each of those. The ice melted at her touch And fish in every color swam And frogs croaked.
Now Terry Winters has left us And the forest grows silent once more. The fruits have rotten away, Flowers and leaves have fallen. Again no frog croaks and no bird sings And the wind does not rustle the leaves. Death has brought death And I longer dare utter a word, In fear of disturbing the silence.

That's a really sweet poem. She must have been an amazing person. I'm sure God is taking good care of her. Don't forget that, hun. I'm really sorry about your loss. I'll keep you and Terry in my prayers.

Corpse_Bride_131 That's a really sweet poem. She must have been an amazing person. I'm sure God is taking good care of her. Don't forget that, hun. I'm really sorry about your loss. I'll keep you and Terry in my prayers. It feels really strange... I've never even seen her face and yet I'm grieving over her. I just can't seem to accept the fact that she's dead. I keep expecting to get a message from her.

If any of you have ever been on Whyville, there was a girl who died on there from cancer. Lots of people grieved for a long time even though they had never met her. Good poem confused
