it was not a particularly pleasant day for Jayce, not like many days were, but the skulled Numa could think of at least... 5 things he would rather be doing at this moment OTHER then looking for his uncles detached hand.
"how could one NOT notice" he growled to himself, his body low to the ground, long arms combing along the tall grass for anything that did not belong. Jedrek was already the strangest Numa he had ever met, you didn't need to see body parts of him falling off to know that much. and who know how long his Uncle had been walking, ignoring the fact that his claw was missing. Jayce tried to ignore how much aria he would have to retrace to try and find just where Jedrek had dropped it.
continuing to grumble under his breath. tail thrashing around behind him, venting what anger he could out of it.

Calypso, the self proclaimed sea goddess, was currently... in a panic. She was running threw the grass madly, looking around for something that was apprantly lost. Two of her three fish were riding in her fur, biting madly at her wings to try to keep up with their keeper.
"Atlas? Atlas??" She paused to look around, then moved up onto her hind legs to get her head above the grass. "Atlas! Come back!' A small whimper, and she continued on a bit slower, worry overcoming her panic. The two left over fish started their work of primping and lifting her fur, though.. it seemed a bit odd. One side was compeltely ignored, making her seem lopsided. She grumbled a curse and continued on, looking around. She hated not looking perfect!

well, whoever missed THAT voice was probably def. that, and Jayce was so paranoid of others being around him. he could pick up the sounds of an unfamiliar voice from a father distance then some Numa. a pang of uncomfortable rage caused him to snap up standing tall on his cause. and looking around wildly for the sight of another numa. the red feathers on his otherwise colorless body ruffled slowly as the wind was allowed to play though them. tangling his rough hair even more.
letting out a Soft hiss as he caught sight of in the distance, moveing around very quickly, though it was hard to make out exactly what it was, seeing as it was pretty much the same color as the grass around it., he lowered his body close to the ground. attempting to hide himself. in hopes of catching the stranger off guard it is dared venture to close.

"Atlas! If you do not come back right now I will never feed you again!" She barked out, her usually smooth and silky voice becoming rough for a moment. Once again she started bounding threw the grass, not able to see where she was going exactly... And wouldn't you know it, she ended up jumping right on top of him, Unless he was swift enough to move. Either way she yelped in fright, jumping back and crouching behind some tall grass to peek at him with a bright blue orb like eye.

Before she knew it, she had a fanged skull face nearly nose to nose with hers. Bearing down on her with fury. Black on black eyes, and gleaming red Pupils, His long, slender body curled to the side, having only stood up from being knocked over by her tripping on him. Something he had not enjoyed in the least. GREAT. It was a female... with all the dealings he had had with them. it was not wonder his mood was not improving... females like to talk... allot "Watch where you're going" he nearly hissed, his voice still young, and somewhat handsome. But with a haunting hollow effect to it, to match his fighting appearance
She herself didn’t look quite like most of the Females he had been unlucky enough to meet. Her patters where elaborate, as was her hair and features. And the Fish… well that was definitely a first for him, he thought only males had Fish familiars

Her eyes widdened for a moment when he threatened her, but not really in fear... in pure suprise. How... Dare... He! Threaten her! Well she had every right to jump around and do as she pleased! She turned up her nose and narrowed her eyes right back at him, not seeming afraid as well.
"And what were you, young man, doing crouching down in the grass just waiting to be stepped on??"
The fish fluttered to her side and shook their back fins at him in a snobby way, before rushing back to making their master look beautiful.

well. intimidation was probably not going to work on her, it was 50/50 with these females. he hissed softly at her as she spoke to him. his side tingling, from where she had tripped over him. it didn't hurt, but it made him uncomfortable, and he didn't like it. "I was down there deciding whether or now I should rip one of you're wings off" he answered. hen stamped a paw on the ground, lifting it up to bare his claws at her. "and Its still up for debate." he hissed again, tail thrashing around behind him.
he took a moment to eye the two Fish with her, they seemed to have a strange job. but enjoyed it none the less. he wondered how they would taste.

She eyed the claws that he bared, frowning deeper in distaste. The pain they threatened her with did not bother her, but... She just couldn't stand to walk around with her wings and fins banged up and torn! She'd look ridiculous... Horrorfying... She looked bad enough without Atlas to fluff up her right side.
"Did your parents not teach you any manners..?" She frowned at him, taking a small step back, but her voice and expression was not one of defeat. "A man should never harm a lady, especially one as beautiful as I am." She hmphed and flicked her hair behind her ear, showing both of her black on neon blue eyes.

he blinked his eyes at her, and with eyelids the color of his black eyes it looked as is his pupils where a flickering light going on and off, a bit surprised by her comment. but the small step back made him smirk, even is it was small, he took it as a sigh of submission.
"and who said I even had any parents to teach me?" he asked lowering himself into a sit, hunching his shoulder and dipping his head to look up at her from under his bony brow "for all you know. I was taught only to cause horror and pain on others. and you still think you're self so bold as to stand here talking to me"

"Things of pure terror do not warn their victims." She smirked as he lowered himself... and his claws. It seemed she was lucky. For now anyway. "Instead of 'watch where you're going', it would have been... well, merely the sound of my bones crushing."
She smoothly sat down, using her tail to smooth down some grass for her to sit on like a cushion. Her wings fluttered around her gracefully, as smoothly as if she were underwater. She covered the unused part of her body with her tail, so he would get more or less the full, marvelous view of her. Eyes half lidded, she stared down at him with a smub grin.
"I wouldn't be suprised if your mommy was fixing you up a sweet little gumdrop dinner right now."

he narrowed his eyes at her, so she was smarter then he had given her credit for. he felt slightly foolish, is seemed obvious that a true monster would not have hesitated to cause harm, and no matter what explanation he tried to think up, nothing could explain why he was still a terror... who gave warning.
he sneered stilled hunched in a careless manner, glaring up at her she she looked down on him. "I don't like gumdrops" he said coldly, then lunged forward, swiping out at her, but not touching her, he instead, wrapped his claws around one of her circling fish. out of desperation to get a reaction out of her... show her he was not to be messed with... not the wisest of moves, but he was not very wise, especially when it came to him desperation.
slinking back, standing tall once again his glare not leaving his face as he firmly grasped her fish in his black paw. "but maybe I would like this."

She hissed slightly and narrowed her eyes to thin glowing blue slits. She couldn't afford to loose another fish.. She was still trying to find the third! Plus... well, she DID care for them as well. They were some of the few that could constantly put up with her ego.
"If you dare to hurt that fish, I swear to every bit of sugar I will follow you around and make your life hell till the day you die." Her voice was low and dangerous, and her expression made it obvious that she was very... very serious...

mimicking her earlier pois. he lifted his head, sticking his nose up and starring down at her. though the effect of this was mostly to bare the skull fangs that caged his mouth. "I dare you" he hissed back. "I'm not like the rest of the Candies, I... Don't... play... nice"
he narrowed his eyes, staring directly into hers, and slowly tightened his grip around the fish. waiting eagerly for her reaction. almost hoping she would move. give him a reason to drive his claws though her.

She continued to stare at him for several moments, just staring... Her body was compeltely still... watching him. Her slit blue eyes flickered back and forth between his eyes and the frightened fish in his paw.
Then, rather slowly at first, she lowered herself to the ground in an obviously submissive gesture, frowning slightly to see if he would let the fish go if she bowed to him.

he had won, she was showing him that she was at his mercy... but why didn't this make him feel any better. he was frustrated, angry, why didn't she do more? he wanted to have a reason to fight back, he wanted a reason to really hurt her! Why didn't she give him a reason!
his growl grew, and at a moment he was prepared to kill the small life in his paw right then and there. when something familiar snapped him back so hard, he thought his heart would stop.
"Jayce"
a deep, haunting voice, mealy speaking the name of the young Skull numa, sounding neither demanding, or upset. Jayce's head snapped around, to see the torso and face, of a green, decaying body, parting the tall grass as he sat nestled in the long blades, a claw missing, leaving a dripping stump. sunken eyes, staring directly at the Candy.
