Gripping his sword, Kitsune trotted along the oceans line, breathing in bits of the warm wind. He had been in deep training for most of the Spring, and today he was letting his body rest. It was always exhasting on him, so he decided that because of the glorious weather, it was a good enough reason to stroll around. He had spent so much time alone, that he was beginning to miss the drama filled life that had always followed him.

He stopped slowly, and proceeded into a slow walk. He turned his head and let his eyes gaze into the blue wonderland. He really did love the ocean, it always brought about many memories for him. It wasn't quite warm enough to swim, but he awaited such a day. He loved swimming, and it also helped him with his physical training.

Nalini had always enjoyed the soft breeze that seemed to blow whenever she was near the ocean. She had come by this pleasant spot by complete chance. Walking around rather aimlessly, she had soon smelled the salt in the air, indicating that there was a body of what nearby.

Out of the corner of her eye, she suddenly saw something moving. Turning her head slightly, she saw another Soquili, and was surprised when she saw that the colors seemed much like her own. Getting over her initial surprise at the similarity in colors, she stood in silence, waiting for the other Soquilli to notice her.

Halting himself, Kitsune squinted to see something orange by him as well. For a second, he gripped his sword and wondered if it was an enemy. But then, he saw that by the mares expression, she was pollitely waiting for him to either approach or ignore her.

Happy to abide to such, he trotted towards her, though left a comfortable gap between them so he wouldn't startle her. When he had finally approached her, he layed his sword next to his hoof, and he looked back towards the female.

"Hello there!" He said, calmly. "I don't believe I have seen you around the area, my name is Kitsune. What is your name?" He bowed to her pollitely, and smiled because well.. she was orange too! Already they had something drasticly similar and in common with each other. Easily spottable, they both contrasted the ocean completely.

((I had to change her name due to owner-issues and another soq being named the same >___<))

At first Nalini became slightly wary as she saw that the other soquili was carrying a weapon, but she relaxed visibly as he put that sword from him.

Smiling, she walked a few steps forward before lightly touching her horn to the ground, a polite friendly gesture, showing that she too was a friend.

"My name is Nalini" she said and shook her mane slightly "But if it pleases you, you may call me Lini" glancing out at the ocean for a short moment, she continued "And I would be surprised if you had seen me around before. I just arrived". She smiled playfully and cocked her head slightly "You live here?".

(( No worries hun, I was gonna say I noticed the sig change XD <3 ))

Kitsune smiled, only responding, "Alright Lini, and heh that name is fun to say." He watched her and was pleased, she seemed like a kind mare, and with a fun personality at that. "If you have just arrived, then I welcome you of course."

At her next question, he was actually a bit perplexed at what to answer. "Well, I am supposed to live in my teepee with the gang.." He lightly snorted. "But when the weather is nice, I tend to wander off. But I have been in this general area for awhile." He nodded to her, understanding how new she was to the area.

"How much of the area have you seen? If you ever need help finding something, or would like to explore, that is usually what I am doing. I am happy to guide you or show you around, there is a lot to see so, just let me know." He chuckled, and smiled back to her. He remembered when he was new to this place, feeling odd to the area. At least she arrived when the weather was pleasant, and where conditions were easy to handle.

Nalini gave a short laugh at his comment about her name. He seemed up-beat and blunt. She liked that.

She nodded at his next comment. "Yeah... I love just wandering off like this. There is always something new to see, some place that is just waiting to be explored. I don't usually stay around at the same place for long." she held a short pause, casting a longing glance towards the blue water "This is such a beautiful area though, I almost wish I could just stay here for good" she smiled at him "I actually haven't seen much yet... If you're up to it, a tour would be great!" she said tripping around in pure exitement about exploring the area further.

It was refreshing to hear what she was saying, most mares he talked to hated they idea of anything adventurous our out of the ordinary. "Well, I am pleased that you feel that way! Is there a landscape in particular you are found of?" Shifting his eyes to the left, he poked his nose up in the air to signal the area. "Over that way is a nice climb to a beautiful mountain ledge. If you are interested, I would be happy to show you how to get there."

Smiling to her, he wagged his little tail at the feeling of yet another breeze. "I enjoy all types of landscapes, there are others around, but that one seems to be the closest one I can think of to where we are now." He sat pondering a moment, but then returned to smiling at her.

((sorry for the slow reply. I was at a friends birthday party sleep over thing xD))

Quickly shifting through memories of different landscapes she had seen during her life, and not finding any one that seemed to particuarly stand out as the one thing she enjoyed the most, she shook her head. "I'm fine with where-ever you want to show me. The mountain ledge sounds beautiful though." she admitted.

For a split second, the idea of daring him to race her there shot through her brain, until she realized that she really did have no idea how to get there. She was still not completely used to this area, and perhaps there were things she would have to look out for. She promised herself that another time, she would have to dare him.

"Well, lead the way captain!" she said in a cheerfull voice, and scraping the ground lightly with her front hoof, urging him on.

He chuckled and started forward ahead of her as she wished, making sure that after they had moved forward, that she was sturdily next to him.

"So tell me more about yourself, Lini. Well, of course if you don't mind. I don't mean to sound pushy in any sense." He chuckled and looked at her while holding the sword in his mouth perfectly. It took tons of pratice to talk and have a sword in his mouth. After doing it for so long, it was nothing to him.

"I am pleased that you enjoy seeing the area, if you have any questions just ask!" Turning his head back to the target, he nodded and squinted at the feel of a large breeze.

Nalini smiled good-naturedly. She didn't mind at all. "Well... there isn't much to tell, really... Never knew my parents... sorta figured things out by myself I guess" she giggled "When I was younger, I used to think that I had come out of a flower" she motioned to her colors "looking like a tiger lily and all?" she held a short pause "Plus, I've always had the flower with me... Its just always been... there you know?"

She smiled a bit embarrased by telling the male soquili so much about herself. On the other hand, she enjoyed his company, so she didn't really mind. "I must sound so childish now" she said, laughing it off "And how about you Mr Swordsman? What does your past hide?"

He listened to her while nodding here and there, and took in all of her words. It was true, she did indeed resemble a Tigerlily, and that didn't strike him until she mentioned it. Her eyes sparkled as she spoke, and Kitsune could do nothing but smile back.

"You don't sound childish at all." He said, chuckling. "Actually the opposite of course. I am always interested in other's stories." He usually kept to himself anyways, so at least he could enjoy a conversation here and there.

"My past? Its well.. complicated, but no matter. I don' t try to runaway from it per-say, I just try to move on." Realizing that sounded strange, he tried to change the subject quickly.

"But I don't know my parents either, and have always been on my own. I don't mind it, though. Sometimes I feel as if I have learned everything for myself this way." Still trotting beside her, they had some ways to go until they reached their destination. He just wanted to keep his cool before then.

Nalini noted his reluctance to talk. Knitting her brows, she opened her mouth to ask what he meant, but took herself in it. Sometimes it was better to just let things go. She relaxed her face back into the smile that normally graced her features.

"Yeah, me too" she somewhat mumbled. "I'm not complaining, you know? I've had a good life... I've been lucky" she sighted slightly "Sometimes I just wish that there had been someone there to show me what to do..."

Deciding that this was way too much sad talk for her, she forced a smile back on. "I feel a bit cold" she then admitted, as another larger gust of wind hit her "Do you want to canter some of the way?"

"I agree, but hate to admit it." He looked at her with a childish face. "I try to act as if handling everyone on my own is better, though it would have been nice to have the mother/father comfort. I just hope I can do that for a child one day." Shaking his head, he too felt personal on the subject, though also felt foolish for saying such a thing to her. She probably thought he was a weakling or weirdo by now.

Changing his expression to a more playful one, he flicked his tail and said, "That sounds brilliant!" When his tail lowered again, his legs proceeded into a steady cantor. "Are you alright Lini?" Moving his body closer to hers, he blushed at the feeling of her next to him while trying to block the wind away. "I didn't realize what a cold breeze there is today!" Still trying to hide his blush, he stayed next to her in hopes of her regaining some warmth.

"Luckily we are almost there, especially with this pace." He said, excitedly.

She nodded "I think we're all like that in some point" she smiled gently "Its really nothing to be ashamed of, but its a taboo for some reason" she glanced at him quickly before continuing "and I'm sure you'll make a great father one day. I mean... you seem like the kind of guy that has tried a lot of things and stuff, yknow?" the words half tumbled out her mouth "And well... what is better than a dad who is able to guide you through any situation that might arise? And you'll never leave them seeing as you've been through it all without a parent yourself..." she trailed off and grinned feeling slightly foolish.

As he moved closer, she immidiately felt a change in temperature, and smiled greatfully. "Thank you" she said, the color not leaving her cheeks completely. It was odd being so comfortable with a soquili she had just met.

He eyes regaining some joyful sparkle she sped up a bit "really? I soooo can't wait" she laughed at her own childish mood, but all this running and beautiful scenery really cheered her up.

"Well.." He said, while kindly looking her in the eye. "I can do nothing now but blush and work hard, as you have seemed to talk me up quite a bit" It was strange, usually he was a complete clutz towards females, but he felt suprisingly comfortable to Nalini. "But I do appreciate that, and hope it is true. It is just nice that you understand so well."

They had reached a clearing that led to an uphill area. "See, we are much closer now." He stayed close to her, especially since the wind was picking up. He looked forward and remembered the area perfectly, knowing they only had a few more steps.

"From how you speak, I get the impression that you will make an excellent mother too one day. So patient and kind, that's the best way to act." He nodded and looked back to her, happy that the topic was brought up. "So have you had any run-ins from other Soquili around here? We have all different types.." Chuckling, he wondered if he should explain things to her, especially for her safety.
