Okay, I know I can't have been the only one to notice how Sora seems to have a never-ending supply of optimism. Part of this is due to the rules that Donald and Goofy lay down for him to come with them ("no frowns!"), but really, all things considered, Sora is really just too happy for his own good. That when some of my friends and I decided that Sora is probably on happy pills (which should only be taken when prescribed by a doctor! scream ) and we listed a few reasons why we figured this should be so.
Considering we are all fans of Sora and his (mis)adventures, I thought I'd share our ideas with you guys and see if ya'll can't come up with even more reasons (considering we've only gotten as far as Traverse Town in KH1).
So, here we go! Let's see what you can come up with. (Keep it PG and all that ToS.... rolleyes Oh, and try not to character-bash too much. That just gets really old after awhile.)
He grows up on an island where the favored pastime is beating the %^&$ out of your friends with a wooden sword, a ball, or a jump rope.

On this island, there are at least three different dialects present. Just in the kids. This has to be confusing.

He is in love with a girl, but is afraid to tell her how he feels, probably because if he messes up, there is only one other girl his age who is available to him on the island. rolleyes

He leaves for his quest before he eats supper.
Anyone who has lived with a teenage boy knows what an absolute no-no this is. 3nodding

He is forced to watch his island literally disintegrate beneath his feet, his would-be girlfriend vanish into thin air, and his best friend go crazy and get sucked into pit of black goo. gonk

Traverse town:
He either has to decide to stand veeeeerrrryy still for the rest of his life, or be attaked by little buggy shadows. Forever.

Xutaka: I doubt we'll make it that far, but if you're really worried I can put up spoiler warnings.
Pure_True Ocean: Lol. Good one. That's a lot like another one that my friends and I came up with. I'll post it later.
He wakes up to a dog licking his face. To those of you who don’t like this, good enough. To those of you who like dogs, imagine Sora likes dogs. He’s finally found someone who likes him for a second, then bam, the dog runs away too.

He learns that he will never see his home again unless he goes on some very dangerous missions to places he’s never been to before and does something that nobody can seem to really explain to him.
