A sigh fell from the lips of one cat, the youth settled in the depths of a beanbag chair, half devoured by his squishy-comfy prison. Daixen was sure it would take work to get out of his seat, effort that he wasn't in the mood to expend at the moment. Rather, the male was quite content to browse through a dress catalog he'd found earlier amidst a mess of magazines, seated in his cushiony heaven.
And yet there was something that bothered him.
He understood that females had a tendency to be prettier than males (HE was a special exception), and that dresses and skirts and the sorts of clothes Daixen liked were best worn by pretty people, but were there REALLY so few pretty males?! The cat was well into the catalog by now, turning another page and looking over the dresses with a considering eye, and not a SINGLE model was of the male sex!
Perhaps he'd ought to try out as a model sometime. There HAD to be more pretty guys like him out there! They were probably just shy or something. Well, that was fine by Daixen. If no other males wanted to be pretty, he'd just have to be pretty enough for all of them.
Setting the booklet aside for a moment (face-down so he wouldn't lose his page, of course), Daixen smoothed his skirt out and gazed at his dim reflection in the turned off television across the playroom. Lifting his hand now to make sure the rose of his choker was where it should be, the male settled back and once more took the catalog, turning a page. It was a pity that the room was so empty this day, but the cat-boy would have to make due. He had the dress catalog to look through, but that wouldn't last forever (forever being the time until Kara came to pick him up).

"Hey Daixen!" Miwa said as she entered, her small yet cheerful voice rang up through out the room. "Is something wrong, you seen rather down?" She asked taking a seat next to him, taking a magazine to flip through it.
As her eyes scanned the page, she would get a glimps of her sad friend. She knew something was wrong, yet she didn't want to bug him about it. So she tryed to advert her gaze back at the page she was reading.

Daixen looked up at the voice, a smile twitching briefly at his lips. The fox was nice, and Daixen liked her. After all, she seemed to understand that there was nothing wrong with a guy being pretty. HONESTLY, what was wrong with it? It always annoyed Daixen, the weird looks when someone thought he was a girl and then discovered the truth was otherwise.
"Nothing, I suppose," he answered after a moment before flipping another page and tapping the inked paper lightly with one finger. "Or maybe something. Not a single male model in this entire catalog." Shaking his head, Daixen waved one hand for emphasis. "It's so... frustrating! Am I the only pretty guy in the whole country?!"

"Your the only pretty guy I know, and thats a good thing." She said softly laughing. "But dont worry about it, they just cant see the beauty that guys hold." Miwa said as she gently placed a hand on his arm, trying to show him that its alright. "Like I said before, I think your pretty. Ignore them female models."

Daixen considered Miwa's words for a few moments before nodding in agreement. "Yeah, you're right!" That made a LOT more sense than what anyone else said. After all, WHAT was wrong with a guy wearing a skirt or dress, huh? So long as the important bits were covered (heck, chicks got away with revealing all that stuff, at least Daixen was DECENT.), what was the matter? "You know what? I think I will. They're not all hot stuff." Smiling softly, he took Miwa's hand in his own. "Thanks!"

"Your welcome, anything to help a friend." She said giving a smile back. "Hey, you have way better fashion then I do!" She said cheerfully as she gave a soft giggle, looking at her dress then at his. Miwa smiled at him once more, before returning her attention to her magazine. Not realizing that they were still holding hands.

Daixen, on the other hand, had noticed how he still loosely held Miwa's hand in his own. But, so long as Miwa never said anything against it... the catboy supposed there was nothing wrong with continuing to hold Miwa's hand. Tilting his head slightly, the cat shifted to sit in the beanbag chair on his knees, looking over Miwa's shoulder at the magazine she was looking through.

"What do you think of this dress?" She asked ponting to A black corset dress with a princess like skirt. She gave a sigh and scrunched up her face. "Way to expencive, dont you think?"

Releasing Miwa's hand, the cat shifted on his beanbag so he could see what dress was being indicated. Snorting softly, he settled back on his seat. "You could probably get it cheaper if you bought a corset like that and skirt like that, then sewed 'em together yourself," he noted, agreeing with the 'too expensive' comment.

"Good idea." She said with a slight smile as she put the magazine down on the table. Pulling out a pen and an pad of paper, writing down what she needed to get. Soon after stuffing it back in her bag. "Feel better Dai?"

Dras, whoot. xDDUnaware that anyone was in the world but himself, a tall purple cat twirled haphazardly through the halls of the pound; More than a few times, he nearly toppled onto his behind while performing a particularly dangerous heel-pirouette in his knee-high boots, but he paid the risk no mind. He had wandered into the kitchen just moments before, and found brownies. Unguarded brownies. A small streak of chocolate still stained Adrastos's chin, ignored by him as so many other minor details were. The ends of his red tail ribbon fluttered in the air behind him as he redirected his twirly, hopping gait to bring him into the playroom, where two children were flipping through magazines. Proclaiming his entrance with a loud "RAWR!", he performed a (surprisingly well-executed) frontal flip that brought him halfway across the room, closer to the pair.

((xD Yay, Dras!))
Watching Miwa write down the needed supplies, one hand lifting to straighten his choker before falling to play with the end of a braid. Daixen's gaze followed the stored away pad and pen, he laughed softly and nodded. "Yeah, actually. To be honest, I feel a lot better," the dark blue cat admitted.
When another cat entered the room, loudly proclaiming his presence to the pair before flipping across the room, Daixen nearly fell from his precarious perch on his knees. Hand sinking into the beanbag when he'd lowered it to steady himself in his surprise, he managed to keep his balance but at the cost of a momentary falter in that natural dignity he held himself with. Tilting his head, he eyed the older cat curiously before speaking pleasantly, "And hello yourself." A pause, and then "You have something on your chin, you know..."

Snickering a little as the smaller cat effectively had the stuffing scared out of her by his bold entrance, Adrastos bent at the waist, resting his hands on his knees and peering closely at the dark blue cat. "You're pretty," he informed her with a nod. "And, I've always got something on my chin." This last bit was said with his customary wide grin. He had no idea, of course, what was actually on his chin; But people always seemed to be telling him this, so he had accepted it as fact.
"Oooooh~" He squealed as he spotted the chair that the other cat was seated in. "What's that? It looks squishy..." He gave the chair an experimental poke, as if afraid that it would poke back, bite him, or explode.
((*prepares to be shot for the "her"s* xDD Dras isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, cut him some slack. Dx))

Daixen shifted slightly until he once more sat in the manner as was "proper" due to his wearing of a skirt. Smoothing the material idly, his hands fell to rest curled together in his lap. When the older cat spoke again, he tilted his head before smiling softly. "Well, thank you." Totally oblivious to the other's obliviousness in a ring of oblivious oblivion. Or something like that.
Well, any thoughts that this cat might be like... a rapist or child molester or something had gone out the window, replaced with a description much nearer to the truth... an adult with the mentality of a child.
"Do you?" Daixen murmured idly, eying the 'something' for a few moments. "Well, it looks like for the time being that something is... chocolate?" The suggestion was accompanied by a light nod. "Yeah, it looks like chocolate."
Blinking, the dark blue cat tilted hsi head to look down at the chair, unable to help poking it himself after watching Adrastos do so. "A bean bag chair," he answered absently then, offering his seat another curious poke. He'd never realized how amazingly fun and amusing poking a bean bag chair could be...
((xD -pats Dai on the head- Well, at least he isn't aware.. Daixen: o-o Aware of what? <33 Nothing dear.))

“That’s good to know Daixen.” She said giving a small laugh as she watched the two cats poke at the bean bag chair. Merely shaking her head and returning her attention to the magazine she had put down…well trying to anyways. “You two are so crazy…” She said as she set down her book once again, to watch the two.
“Well last time I checked their was chocolate brownies in the kitchen.” She said feeling hungry, but ignored the feeling. Miwa was highly amused by the fun two adolescent cats could have by poking at something so simple. She turned and pulled out her CD player and placed the ear buds in her ears, her mind being taken away by the sound of the drums and guitars in unison as the voice of the lead singer became louder. Even though it was in a language she didn’t understand, the music still took her away.
