I don't now if any one keeps up with the english anime for naruto... BUT saturday was the first apperence of Itachi and Kisame... What did u all think of there voices...
I thought they were pretty good... especially Itachi's because the guy who does the voice of Gai sensei is doing Itachi's voice too! 3nodding

My friends and I think that Kisame sounds okay, and that Itachi sounds constipated. I only watched the first episode, and halfway through that I was screaming "EW ITACHI!" So I didn't hear much...xD;;

I thought they were both fine. Pretty much how I expected them to sound.

Well, Kisame sounds almost nothing like he does in the Subbed Version, but in the dub, he sounds more like a monster-shark, like he's supposed to. So, I'm okay with him. :3
And Itachi... he sounded better than the impression of a drunk club bouncer I got when I heard a clip of his voice from YouTube. I still prefer his Japanese VA, but that's probably only because I heard it first.

Yeah, I'll admit my friend and I were talking on the phone while watching that episode. XD We'll hear more this Saturday, though. YAAAAY, it's one of my favorite episodes! whee

The first-cameo appearance (which was the flashback that Sasuke had in the Forest of Death) of Itachi Uchiha was the only time he was voiced by Skip Lec... something- who does Gai's voice.
Itachi's voice is now being done by Crispin Freeman... who has played various roles like Balmung off of the .hack// series. And in my opinion, he sounds sexy. [So he isn't being VA'd by the same guy he was before in the English Dub.]
He talks all proper and crap... makes him sound like royalty or something (Ex.:: "Let me show you how a true heir of the Uchiha Clan uses these eyes.")
And Kisame... eh- he sounds odd... I guess I'm just more accustomed to his Japanese voice, which sounds completely different.

Now they changed VA's on me? And just when I thought I had them down, too... and when I thought Gai's VA actually got good.
Though I do love Gai in his own... unique... way. < 333

But yeah, I agree with you on the whole 'older' thing. But it sounds fine the way it is. We don't want him sounding like a 40-year-old man. xD

I thought that they did an alright job. And have you noticed Naruto doesn't say "believe it!" as much. What a relief wink
