Everyone here has a time when they discovered Zutara. For some, it was when they watched a certain Avatar episode, for others, it was a kind a friend who introduced it to them. So, my question is: How did you fall in love with Zutara?

For me, I discovered Zutara through the fandom. I actually found out about Zutara before I became a huge Avatar fan. Mind you, I'd already watched the show a few times, but I wasn't the obsessive fan I am now.
Anyway, the way I learned of Zutara was actually by reading what people's favourite ships were on profiles. I got curious and looked at some fanart. Then I watched some AMV's, then I watched some episodes. Then I fell in love.
So, you guys should thank everyone who lists their favourite ships in their profile, because if it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't be a Zutara or Avatar fan, and this guild would not exist.

But it was probably through the 'net. DeviantART, maybe, though I'm sure if it was the Internet, it would've probably been FF.net.

Welp, probably when I saw the season finale, believe it or not,lol. I wasnt a giant Avatar fan before, like I am now. And when I saw the waterbending scroll before, I thought nothing of Zutara. But then for some reason, when i saw the season 2 finale I was like "Omg Zutara cuuteness...must find fanfics!" And then I became OBSESSED with Avatar. mrgreen

With me, all my friends were watching the first episode when if was first aired with me and they were all like, "Awww! Katara and Aang are so cute!" It was the typical main character male gets main character girl thing. So I was okay with that until the first time Zuko was shown on his boat with Iroh. I thought this would be one interesting pairing, so I announced I was an official Zuko x Katara fan, and all my friends shunned me for about a week. >_> Now they're into Zutara, too. =3

I don't remember exactly how it was for me, so it might be that I jumble a few memories.
I didn't start watching Avatar until I saw a really well drawn picture of Zuko on y!Gallery. I had seen some Avatar characters before, but it didn't spike my interest really, but Zuko was alway interesting to me, because of the scar. It's rather seldom that a character has such a large scar.
Then one day, I was looking at a list of villains, and lo and behold, Zuko was there too, but I got the overall impression that he wasn't really sucha bad villain. Especially since I found out there that Ozai gave him the scar, which shoked me quite a bit.
So my interest was piqued, and I started watching the show on youtube. At first I didn't even think of pairings, I just enjoyed the show. Even the waterbending scroll didn't do anything for me. AND THEN! *thunder strikes*
In "Bato of the Watertribe" Zuko kept Katara from falling off.....and it hit me. xD
I wasn't all fangirlish over it, but I remember being all: "hmmm, that would make a good couple."
So, off to DA, FF.net and I was a lost cause. xDD
Actually, Rythm in the Rain hardened my love for this pairing.

For me it was in episode 2 when Zuko stepped off of his ship and was looking right at Katara, it just clicked. (and I was like "SQUEE OTP!") =D

When first started getting into A:TLA, when I saw Katara, then Zuko, I thought to myself, "Hmmm, they'd look cute together." Then from that point on, I was a fan of Zutara. whee

I never really was a fan of Avatar before.I was like, "Pfft...Avatar..." *goes in corner and reads Naruto*.Until my 3 year old brother turned on Nickelodeon and the Avatar Season 2 Finale came on.Too bad it was when Aang interrupted Zuko and Katara in the cave.Normally,I would change the channel,since I never really watched Avatar that much.But I said 'what the hell'.I fell in love with the awesome choreographed fighting scenes.
Then I went to deviantART and searched 'Zuko'.I saw a surprisingly alarming number of pictures that paired him with Katara.And Shipping Fool that I am,I decided to investigate the show,which is Avatar:The Last Airbender and its ships.I started watching every single Avatar episode I can get a hold of.And in each episode where Zuko and Katara interacted,a tiny non-existant wave of Zutarian feeling hit me.Until it grew and turned me into a Zutarian.
I started reading fanfiction and going through fanarts.I made up complex theories when I should have been doing something more productive with my life.
Um...Yeah...So that's it... sweatdrop
Ps.I got banned for 14 days and now I'm back : D

Zutara is just such a great pairing. I don't bash any pairings, I feel that any pairing that has a reason behind it is a good one. I'm really happy everyone here has said how they first came across Zutara. It makes me really happy. ^_^ I know this is a bit out of topic, but I decided to check out the Kataang guild and I was sad when I saw this n00bish post. : The_Benefactor123 ZUTARA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
