((Private rp between Cerek & Tierce only!))

The late afternoon stained the horizon with various hues of orange, purple, and red. At the very peak of the heavens, the fainest glimmer of stars began to appear. The evening was crisp and clear, with only the faintest of light breezes. It was a perfect evening for relaxation.

That was exactly what the young, dark stallion was doing. Having escaped certain individuals for the afternoon, Cerek found himself in a lovely valley amongst a thick weave of trees. The grass was green and springy, and sweet, he found, as he grazed happily. A small pool, which was fed by the smallest of brooks, bubbled nearby. His tail, thick and heavy with braiding, twitched along his back legs, shooing away the twilight bugs that always seemed to plague the most peaceful time of day. But these were small annoyances for the stallion. What mattered most was that he was away from all contact - a rare occurrence these days. A faint smile of his muzzle, he remarked to himself how he always seemed to be surrounded by young, eager mares. No, Cerek was conceited at all.

It was nice to get away. Tierce enjoyed her life with her family, protecting her herd of her own. She was the protector of her and her young siblings. Even of you younger brother, slightly younger, but he was too lazy to get anything done anyhow. And now, as the evening progressed, was her time. She could roam and gallop to content herself, to get stronger and faster.
And so she did, she was full speed through the forest and out into the clearing, she slowed down a bit to take in the atmosphere. The sky colored everyhting beatifulyl this time of day. She took a deep breath, and kept on her way. She splashed through the babbling brook. it was deep enough to reach above her hooves and to amuse her as she stayed to splash in the refreshing water.

By no means did Cerek not love being around his family. He adored annoying both mother and brother, but it was for their sakes that he wandered off. He knew he could be trying at times, the youngest of their small family groups. But as an adult, he could easily wander off now. It hadn't been so easy as a young colt.

Dwelling in his own thoughts, he didn't notice the approach of another until he heard faint splashing in the pool nearby. He, himself, was hidden by low branches and high ferns, and it was between these that his head suddenly popped up. Azure eyes wide and alert, he sought the noise-creator. There. A mare. Similarly colored to himself.

Cerek weighed his options. He could turn around and sneak off to continue his alone time, or he could flaunt his brash nature and approach the beauty. A coy grin on his light muzzle, he chose the second. He was bored anyway.

Stepping around the thick vegetation, he slowly approached the clear pond on heavily feathered, strong legs. Inclining his head in a polite bow, he spoke softly in his silken voice. "Good evening."

" Huh ?", she paused, mid kick and hop turn in the small stream. " Good evening indeed."
She shook off some of the water droplets remaining in her short mane.
The stallion stood just off the stream bed. Laughing to herself, afraid to get wet is he?
" And what is it that brings yourself out tonight Mr.?", she inclines her head to punctuate her statement, whichin itself was one part sarcasm and the other sweetly innocent. She was amused, that smirk he wore caused her to guess that he thought quite a bit of himself.
He, infact was a dark chocolate color, the darkest stripe went down his back, and a set of blue eyes. He wasn't an old soquili either, probably a similar vintage as herself.

"Cerek," he intoned smoothly. The young stallion actually was a bit fully of himself. Of course, not due to inflated ego or anything so vulgar as that. Cerek was just simply...very, very social. However, he didn't think that his reflection wasn't that terrible, so maybe the tiniest part of him was conceited?

He eased up to the edge of the stream, his hooves only going in a fraction. It wasn't that he was afraid to get wet - in fact, one of Cerek's favorite hobbies was splashing and swimming. Grinning at her, he said, "Me? It seems as if I'm out enjoying the view." As if to punctuate his meaning, his bright blue eyes flicked up and down the young mare. Smooth, Cerek. Very smooth. And tactful.

Tilting his head to the side, he flicked his tail, a curious expression coming over his brow. "And what about you, Miss...?"

She nearly gagged when she heard him refer to herself as a 'Miss.'
She huffed," I am not nearly as delicate as some sort of 'Miss.', but my name is Tierce."
She splashed her hooves in the water, she honestly wasn't used to any sort of attention, usually busy with her 'training', her father would joke about it as such.
" Yes I was out to enjoy the sunset, thought I might relax a bit for once."

A feisty one, was she? Cerek nearly giggled with glee inside. All he'd been around recently were fawning, flirting mares. He was a stallion who loved a good challenge - not easy flirting. It was even better if all his flirting fell on deaf ears. "I'm terribly sorry if I've offended you," he said, eyes turned down in bashful manner. "But I've always thought that those of beauty must have some sort of title before their name. Not only that, but to establish the females as more worthy of respect than the common stallion."

He lifted one hoof, grazing it against the water's surface. He watched the ripples a moment before glancing back up to Tierce, holding tight to his embarrassed, lowly act...though he failed entirely with the tiny smirk pulling at the corners of his mouth. "What a lovely name! Names rarely seem to live up to the beauty of the individual, but yours is quit fitting." He swished his tail, tilting his head again. "Relax? Then you've come to the perfect spot. There's rarely a soul here, and it's so quiet. Its as if the trees block out all sounds of the outside world." Cerek raised his head, looking around the wide landscape with a dreamy look on his face.

Tierce thought for a moment that she might have hurt the stallions feelings. That is until he gave up on the shyness and proceeded to flatter her with her own name.
" Yes it was to relax, but don't you think we ruin that little theory of yours just by being here ? Obviously now that there are two souls.", she splashed though the water towards him.
She tried really hard not to get any water on him as she approached gracefully, and the operative word was tried.Seeing as how he was a little more than moist once she was at a friendly distance for a conversation.

Cerek simply grinned, ignoring the water splashing onto him. He really didn't mind being wet whatsoever. In fact, the cool water sent delightful little shivers coursing through him.

Tilting his head to the side, his bright azure eyes holding a particularly joyous light, he returned the mare's sparring of words. "Ah yes, but the imperative word was rarely, m'lady, implying that while visits may be few and far between, they do, upon occasion, happen." And that was Cerek, one to always beat around the bush and find the longest explanation for something so simple. It was an annoying trait, he knew, but he delighted in using it to the greatest extent. "And besides, we may as well not even count my own soul, for it's flown away on wings of happiness at your radiance," he said, chuckling at his own words.
PostPosted: Thu Apr 12, 2007 3:23 pm

" Your soul has surely flown away but I would suspect it is more from your own wind, that it's taken flight.", she jested referring to how long he could stretch a staightment. A long winded one indeed.
" Where can a soul like mine rest around here?", she inquired the brown stallion, Tierce had more than finished her nightly gallavanting and was a little more than tired.

"Perhaps, perhaps," he chortled. But that wasn't even half of how long Cerek could drag out a sentence. In some cases, his sentences had delved off into so many paths with so many twists and turns, that once he reached the last comma...he'd forgotten what he'd been talking about in the first place.

"Tired already, m'lady?" The young stallion looked thoughtful for a moment, glancing around. "I do believe there's a very small, tight grove of trees nearby with plenty of vegetation. It should be safe enough."

Twitching his tail around his legs, he turned in the direction of the small area of trees. "Just over this way. I'll take you," he said, glancing over his shoulder only once before moving off at a slow, lazy walk.

" Ha, you think I need to be protected", she laughed," how noble of you Mr.Cerek."
He was quite the funny one wasn't he.
She followed beside him once caught up, she did not need to be lead. He was indeed showing her the way to a grove. It looked rather comfy, even from a distance.
" So what brings you here, and so oftent hat you know your way around here so well?", she inquired. her front leg wobbling a bit as she strode over the fileds of grass. She shook it out frustratedly with a sigh.

He tilted his head in her direction. "Do not take it as an insult, my dear Tierce. I simply meant you could rest peacefully with no interruption, nor worry of bad dreams."

Easing his large body between tightly woven tree limbs, he entered the small clearing. It was, actually, quite cozy. The tree trunks grew together in some places, forming a wonderfully scented ring. The grass underhoof was springy and green, perfect for nibbling and resting. Turning back towards Tierce's voice, he answered. "Escape from family. Or, rather, letting them escape from me," he chuckled. Poking his head back out between the leaves just in time, he saw the mild wobbling. Eyes wide, he immediately dropped into a concerned manner. Confident and flirty he may be, but he was also a big softy deep down. "Why, m'lady, are you hurt?"

She tilted her head at his concern, unable to find a reason to be so alarmed about a wobbly knee, happens all the time really.
" What, no. nothign is wrong. I just have a wobbly kneee, I had a bit too much fun on my evening run is all.", she said non-chalantly as she continued to move forward even though Cerek had stopped for her.

Brows lowered in concern, Cerek continued to look at her knee. "Flushed complexions and heavy breathing are normal symptoms of too much fun. However, wobbly knees are not. Unless it is a previous wound that has become aggravated," he said.

The stallion pulled his head back through the vegetation, and stepped to the side, allowed Tierce a wide entryway into the small grove.
