I dont know why he quit but I do know it was a long time ago and he started his own webcomic, and it lacks 1337ness

Fred (piro) and Rodney had one creative difference too many, and agreed to part ways, with Fred buying out Rodney's half of the venture. I cant remember when it was, but if you go back through the rants to about the time Rodney's son was born, Fred actually did a rant on it cause someone from another comic accused him of stealing MT from Rodney whilst congratulating him on his son's birth
