I know, I've been gone for quite some time... And I apologize! I haven't really had enough time to go online... let alone gaia. And I've neglected my writing for this month due to work... But I'm back for the night!
Heh... But when I decided to check up on the guild, I was maybe a little dissapointed with the lack of comments on poetry. Everyone seems to be posting!!! But not reviewing!!! gonk
So... Rule of thumb... I think it's a good idea if we get into the habbit of commenting others poetry. And if we make the effort to comment on poetry, the person you commented in turn can comment YOUR poetry and so on and so forth... Soon enough, you'll be racking in the comments as well as giving them, which would satisfy and benefit the whole guild. This isn't a rule... Just a recommendation. If you want your poetry known, try commenting on someone else's poetry first. ^^;
Also, when commenting, please please actually read the poem. Don't just comment because you want your poem looked at. It's important to really read the poem. Don't be afraid to leave critiques and let the writer know what's wrong with the poem. But at the same time, don't be harsh about it. Always leave suggestions and things you liked about the poem. It really shows the writer you read and enjoyed reading their poetry when you point out specific areas.
One more thing.. Feel free to visit the poetry bookshelves too. There are old poetrys stacked away back there that are just as good as the current ones and everyone loves it when those are commented as well. There are some back there that even now, have no comments what-so-ever. So please feel free to visit that area too. ^^;
Ah, and this rule of thumb/advice/suggestion thing... Whatever you want to call it... Doesn't go JUST for the poetry, but the stories and fanfics as well. I just thought I'd post it here since it seems poetry is so much more popular then the stories/fanfics. Alrighty, that's it I think.
