She'd wandered away from her usual beach home. Not far but far enough that the ground below her hooves began to turn more into dirt than sand and the sound of crashing waves only just touched her ears. She didn't like the feeling so much but you couldn't alway find good food that close to shore.
She'd found a nice patch of grass that she could much on while listening to the birds. There were still sea birds out there so she felt more at home. Maybe today would prove to be more entertaining than her last few weeks had been. Lives were suppose to be as ever changing as the sea right?
Not that hers was. It was the same. Wandering around usually alone and pretending to be completely content with it. She needed friends even if the though of having to be social scraped at her nerves the wrong way if she thought about it too much.

 His wings made a dry fluttery sound as he glided downwards... while he had abstained from interactions to this point, prefering to keep his own company, and his secrets to himself... he'd been flying for some time and was...quite honestly...tired. There was only one other there...and that may be enough to keep from jarring him into an all out retreat....maybe... save if she were of a scahurine persuasion, were that the case, hasty wouldn't even begin to describe his desire to retreat. he folded his wings behind him and nodded from what he deemed a respectful distance... the nodd made the bells hung about him chime almost harmoniously.

She heard the flutter of wings and looked up as the dark and decorated stallion landed a small ways away from her. He was the second with wings she had seen and she was starting to think that maybe that was all that came this close to the sea.
He was far different than the other stallion though. Whatever it was over his face and the things hanging around his neck were new. There was something else about his wings, something she couldn't place this far away.
"Shy? Or there some other reason you're not saying hi?" It never crossed her mind that others could dislike company of any sort. She wasn't always fond of it but at least she didn't try to run away from it.

He tossed his head in no small amusement at her forward nature.
"Perhaps I stand stunned by the beauty of your flowing mane..." he said... a touch of dry in his voice though no true lack of sincerity. It was after all, quite a handsome affair.
he then 'bowed'...or as much as so as a horse can do... jutting one leg forward and drawing the other to his chest. he snapped his tail to give a ring of its own bell to be jaunty. "The very rude Rokuta... pleased to share this peice of ground with you for however long we shall bide"
He unfuled his wings for a moment... and stretched the bony 'fingers' that might have been intended as a more leathery twin to the carnival-like patterns of his feathers had they carried more than the sinnues to hold them together.

She laughed at his words. No one had ever said something like that to her so she was loath to believe anything of the sort. "Or maybe you're just trying to find a good way to chat me up?"
Bones. That was what she had though looked strange. The sight of them sent prickles across her hide but she ignored it as best she could. "Hello Rokuta. I guess if you're giving up that i should be as kind also. Mano'Uhane ... though you can call me Uhane to make thing easier"

"Yes...Inedeed... I think I must secretly be an incorigable -cad- here to ravish you, break your heart, and leave you wishing to pluck my tail off and parade it about as a victory pennant...." he nickered a chortle.
"I am, for the time beeing, pleased to make your aquaintance... Pleased to meet you Mano'Uhane... " He ducked his head again in another smaller bow and stood again, the bony protrusions clicking together as he drew them tight together in a sort of inverted stretch.
"Are you then, accustomed to being chatted up by strange stalions who drop out of the sky to cause such suspision?"

"I think were you to do something that horrid to me that i would be more inclined to pluck your tail off you and choke you with it instead." She tossed her head and laughed. At least he was smart and she didn't have to worry about him not talking. The last one she'd met hadn't done much in the way of conversation.
"Well one did drop out of the sky a few days ago .... though he didn't do so much in the way of chatting." He had more done ways of trying to ignore her and gotten on her nerves. Swishing her tail she smiled at him.
"No. But one can never be too careful around strange stallions or so my mother said"

"Hmm... effective and to the point he nodded and then reached down to take a mouthful of grass that he quickly chewed.
"Your mother was a wise mare..." he said with another twitch of a smile.
"Did she also teach you the tail choking tecnique? or did you come up with that of your own accord...inventive...very inventive."

She nodded slightly. "She was very wise.." She missed her mother occasionally even though she hadn't been with her long. They'd parted ways almost as soon as Uhane was able to take care of herself.
"I learned that one myself, or rather came up with it myself." She held her head up and looked proud of that idea. It was an effective way to make others go away if they weren't going to be worth her time.

"Well...I must comend you for it...were my intentions for you in any way disreputable I assure you I'd be thinking them over for a second time"
He flicked his tail with a disjointed -ching- sound from the bell...as though it were considering being broken and had not yet made up its mind and had, instead settled on a disharmoinious clatter.
"I fear I feel the need to continue ploite conversation and yet...I am at a loss for what to say...civility is I fear, not my strong suit"

"How do you..." She eyed all the things decorating the stallion for a moment. "How do you walk in all that?" She had never though of being able to move about in anything other than her hide. It seemed like having decorations would weigh one down and interfere with movement.
Then again she also liked to run through the waves and the cloth hanging from his legs would certinally get in the way of that and she didn't think bells would sound as nice when filled with water.

"I beg pardon?" He said with a nicker of a laugh... "Like what? I have legs just the same as you...oH! you mean my accutriments... well...rather like this really..." he gave a few trotting steps just to demonstrate how easy it was. Really they caused him no bother at all...sufficiently long enough for even running should he be so inclined... they had at best been distracting early on when they tickled his sides and neck.

She shook her head and laughed slightly. "I would think it would get in the way. They would definatly be a hinderance in the water.
Though he didn't look like he spent a lot of time in the water anyway.
"How did you get them? Crash into a teepee?" She grinned at him. That couldn't be the real answer but it was an amusing thought.

He laughed at that... "No...someone else...one of the men... but I'm not the kind to bide for long in the lands of men..." he nodded... "Let them wonder and ponder what they may have caught long enough to be-ribbon and bell...fraid I've never swum much...I fear the feathers would be more cumbersome than these my small bangles....do you then? Is that what draws you here?"

She nodded at his words. She had seen the two leggers and figured it would be like them to add decorations to creatures such as themselves.
"I usually stay by the sea." She turned her ears for a moment to listen to the far off sound of the waves. "The water is fun to play in when it's not too cold."
