Mitsurugi looked around him as he walked down a small path leading away from the oh-so-familiar Traverse Town. As he continued he started seeing more nature-esk things. Green trees, fields of flowers and of course the occassional patch of snow that decorated the grounds.

This must be the area that Minerva frequented, or at least something similar to it, he decided.

Sitting down on a bench, he took his sword and placed it down next to him, he leaned back and rested his eyes. He had been training for most of the morning to work off all the chocolate he had been given earlier, and definitely enjoyed this scenic break and sit down time. Most of the girls were at home to do some spring cleaning, even though the house didn't need it.

He then sat up and looked around, this really was a gorgeous and relaxing area, maybe even good for training. How had he not found it earlier?

Having already completed her Spring cleaning days before, Yunalesca found herself free to wander around. It was one of the few times when she was not required to watch over her younger siblings -one of which was taller than her already. She sighed, following a path that looked nice and seemed to lead to a quiet place to relax.

It was already almost her 'birthday'. According to the Kingdom's standards, anyway. Her real birthday was lost to her, and it was possible that'd it always stay that way. At least she had a second day to replace the one that was lost.

Yunalesca took a few more steps forward, her eyes scanning the area contently. It was a nice place, definitely. And it seemed that it was not a very populated area of Traverse Town. In fact, it seemed that no one else was there.

"Oh." She released a short breath as her eyes caught Mitsurugi on the bench. There was, in fact, someone else there. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you." She curtseyed to him after speaking quietly.

Hearing a voice occupy the empty space, he quickly stood up and bowed his head slightly. "No need to apologize, your mere presence is not enough to disturb me. In fact, it's quite refreshing from the all-too familiar faces I've been seeing lately."

"Yunalesca, isn't it?" Reached out to grab his sword off of the bench, he leaned it up against the side gently. "Would you like to sit down? The view's quite lovely, even if it is simple... Actually, that's what I like about it."

He stood by and awaited her response, not sitting down again as it was rude to sit beore a lady if she even decided to sit at all.

She nodded kindly to him, glad that she didn't have to abandon such a nice area. "Thank you for your patience. If I was interrupting you, I'm sorry, but I couldn't resist this place. It's very relaxing just to be in a serene environment for once." For once, she thought. What a thought. Three siblings, all younger, and very, very likely to cause her trouble. Though what really aggravated her was if they meant to or not.

"Yes. If I'm not mistaken, then you're Mitsurugi, correct?" She smiled again, hoping that she was right in her thinking. "If you don't mind, then yes, I would. It looks very nice." She walked toward the bench before sitting down and looking back up at him. "Really, this place has an even better view when you sit."

"I know exactly what you mean," Mitsurugi said with a smile as he sat down next to her and stretched his legs out in front of him slightly, making him look a little like the child he was.

"You're right, Mitsurugi. And the view is exceptional. Have you been here before? I just found this spot recently and I'm sure I'll be here again."

Turning to Yuna with a questioning smile, he asked. "For once?"
He had caught her earlier words, and while he shared the same sentiments of wanting a peachful day he still felt the need to try and carry on a conversation with the girl.

He just hoped that she didn't mind.

"My life has been hectic lately. With the snow melting all the girls' have been scurrying about to 'get ready for spring', and certainly no offense to you Yunalesca, but living with five girls is definitely tiring when they decide that they're on a mission." His lips curved up into a grin as a chuckle escaped his lips.

"I've actually never even seen this place before. Though I, too, have plans of coming back. I like it here." She spoke straightforwardly.

Again, she thought back to her siblings. "For once, as in, at home, I'm not usually able to relax. It's easy to treasure moments like these when you don't see them very often." She sighed happily, letting her eyes wander to the sky.

"Yes, I think I know what you mean. I get that way, as well." She laughed slightly in embarassment. Though it was not something she was proud of, it was a difficult habit to rid herself of. Especially when she had no help in the household. Sirius was usually the cause, Wisp would unknowingly help him, and Aria... Would not be very helpful when it came to cleaning. "When I'm on a mission, I'm the same way." She blushed, making sure to note in her mind to find a way to locate someone to help her.

"Ahh, so we're in the same boat then," he stated.

His grin fading to that of a soft smile, he shook his head and leaned back slightly to look up at the sky comfortably. "I'm sure you're nothing compared to those five when they're all together. They can be quite crazy, and you... you don't seem like that type of girl." Of course, she may have seemed like the type when she was furious with Sirius, but that was a different matter altogether.

Pausing before he continued, he took a deep breath of the nice air and exhaled slowly before turning to Yunalesca. "So, anything new and exciting in your life lately?"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 08, 2007 2:48 pm

"It seems so." Which meant that if there was a hole in that boat, then they'd both go down.

She allowed her smile to stay on her face as his grin descended to a soft smile. "Oh, you'd be surprised. Though I don't think I'm the worst." Five girls to one was definitely an easy choice. "But what type of girl am I, then?" She asked, not really expecting an answer from him. She wanted to ask just to ask.

"Actually, nothing much out of the ordinary." And by ordinary, she meant almost daily magical problems in their home. "I've actually been able to make progress with my magic." With her staff acting as her catalyst, it was much easier to practice. And though she couldn't summon anything yet, it was good that her healing was getting better.

"The worst, of course not. You're far from it."

"What type of girl?" He trailed off as he turned to look at her. "You seem like the type of girl who demands respect, no, not demands... but it just seems to exist for you. Sweet and nice, but not all the time because there's a time and place for everything, and usually it's being somewhat-stern and doing what needs to be done first."

Looking away from Yunalesca to watch the scenery again, the smile stayed on his face. He half expected her to not like his words and storm off, but that was a chance he was taking in speaking his thoughts.

"That's great, I've never actually seen your type of magic though, is it anything like Minerva and Sirius?" Magical wands, pieces of wood. He understood magic of course, but he wasn't a big participant in it himself unless he got stuck in some sort of spell, he was bigger in swords and hand-to-hand combat.

"Thank you. If you need any help, then just call me and I'll do my best. Backup always makes things easier." She smiled warmly.

For a few moments after he finished speaking, she was silent. Aquamarine eyes glanced around the area as her mind continued working rapidly. "...Am I really that easy to read?" They focused back on Mitsurugi, a soft concern shone in her eyes as she looked at him. Was it her who was easy to read, or was it him who was very good at figuring people out?

"You could say so." But all magics had certain aspects which were the same. But there were things which differenciated her type of magic from Minerva and Sirius's. "Mine doesn't need incantations, though. I can just do it by thinking." The magic that she remembered didn't need words, anyway. Maybe she did have some which did require such things, but all she knew at that moment was wordless and relatively powerful. Because she was a not a black mage, though, so the main focus of her spells was healing and helping people instead of hurting them.

"I'll be sure to keep that in mind," He said replying in the same tone she had used.

"Oh wow, really? My mind's usually going a mile a minute, I'd probably end up casting spells without even knowing it." He grinned.

"If it makes you feel any better, you keep yourself up and secured pretty well. It took both times I've seen you to figure it out, and I'm pretty good at those kind of things. 'Strangers see what a friend cannot' also fits into play, and while we may not be strangers anymore, we are also not quite friends yet... well, I hope to be if we're not already." As he finished, he turned to her and met her gaze before smiling softly.

She nodded, half hoping that he would keep that thought in mind. It would get her out of the house and moving around. Being backup would also help her to help someone out.

Lightly, she laughed. "It does take some concentration, though. And luckily, you'd have to have something helping you." If he did constantly use it, then he'd probably run out of power fast. Just practicing for a few hours almost completely exhausted her.

"That does make me feel just a little bit better." She admitted. "But I guess that you're right." She smiled again, weaving her way through his words in her mind. "If we're friends, then you won't be able to see anything anymore, though. But I think that it's a sacrifice that I'm willing to make if you are." She kept her eyes on him this time, all while she was speaking to him.

"Well I guess that's true, I couldn't just think something and randomly off at the other side of town, a hat appears on someone's head.... It's a good thing I'm not magical, I don't think I could pull it off well." He grinned.

"But," He started again, "If we're friends then you can just tell me things. Since I already know the secret of you being such a sweetheart, you can confide in me whenever you want, or whenever I feel that you're hiding something you shouldn't be." He teased playfully before shifting slightly to face her, he held out his hands to her, palms up. Almost likea double handshake, but not quite.

"Friends?" His bright eyes staying on Yunalesca's as a smile graced his lips.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 08, 2007 4:11 pm

"I wish that I could do that. Though I don't think random hats would do me much good." She laughed again before continuing. "I'm sure that you'd do fine working with magic. You'd just need to practice."

"Knowing and being told are two different things. But they are still ways of getting what you want to know." She nodded before one of his words made her blush lightly again. "A sweetheart? That's something no one's ever called me before." Maybe in her past life, but no time when she could remember. "I guess telling you would work just as well." She put both of her hands in his, accepting his 'double handshake' that wasn't really a double handshake.

"Friends." She said simply, matching his smile with one of her own.

"Well, if nothing else it would prove to be entertaining," Mitsurugi shrugged as a small laugh came out of the funny images in his head.

"Well, I could know many things about many people and not get anywhere, but I would like to be told something special by a friend. It would mean a lot more than simple knowledge."

"Really? That's such a shame."

Suddenly something caught his attention, his eyes trailed a small something before his hands slipped away from hers' gently. He waited a few more seconds until reaching out with both his hands to grab something near their feet on a single blade of grass.

"I may have been the first, but I'm positive I wont be the last." Sitting up again, he held his clasped hands in between them. His sparkling eyes lickered up to hers as he slowly unclasped his hands.

Sitting in the palm of his hand was a delicate butterfly. Mostly light blue in colour, and flapping it's wings slowly. It stayed just long enough to get a good look at it before it flew up in spirals between the two children and away it went.
