How many of your friends(if any) have you converted to Phans? I've converted two. One's a semi-fan, she's never seen it, and the other owns it and was chatting about it all day yesterday.

I've never converted either of my friends. They like it, but they're not "omgobsessed" about it.

Quite a few of my friends are now huge fans of the musical/movie, but only one has read the book, which she thought was "pretty good". None of my friends are as obsessed as I am.

Hm...one of them for me is never gonna be as obsessed considering her obsession with Captain Jack Sparrow, but she agrees about Merik's maniacal laughter at the end of AIAOY reprise, it is funny/awesome!

I've converted three of my friends into POTO. One was actually into it before I was, but she got even more interested when I kept talking about it in class. domokun

I've converted one friend by gushing it to her all the time and lending my DVD to her, though she's more of a semi-phan sweatdrop
And I sort of reconverted my cousin to being a Phan by telling her things I've learned from the books and from the guild 3nodding

I converted my little brothers and sister. For a while the only songs my brother knew how to play on his clarinet were the PotO and Peanuts theme songs. xD And my sister liked to sing PotO a lot. They loved the animated movie too.

I accidentally unconverted two of my friends after they saw what Erik really looked like. I'm not quite sure if it was ofr better or for worse though, unconverting two who didn't accept the real Erik but still liked Gerik.

Very true Ophelia, those 'fans' who only like the movie so they can drool over Gerik are not truely 'phans.' Like us! We're Phans, right? I don't flinch at the cover of my Leroux Phantom. (which I have now learned has the Lon phantom on it? The one from the newspaper in Series of Unfortunate Events, anyway. Everyone else is like "WTF? What is that? Is that a guy?"
