Fuu shouldn't hook up with either one of the two. That would be too cliche. But if I had to pick Fuu would work best with Jinn. Mugen is much to wild.

frankly if she HAS to end up w/ either of them id say its mugen.
because of the following:
1. mugen and fuu both have their wild moments
2. she can sumhow manage to keep him under her thumb (though most ppl cant)
3. Jin is too much of a loner to be with her (think about it, hes practically Yu Yu hakusho's Hiei)

there you have it, my opinion. but she wont end up with either of them.Also i know that in the 11th episode she gets a crush on Jin (only reason y i know that is cause i heard of sum spoilers...dunno nething more than that tho).
but as every1 else is sayin, she wont end up with either of them cause yeh, she just wont. if nething happens she'll prolly end up with the sunflower samurai in the end.

Personally, Fuu doesn't belong with either Jin or Mugen. But if she were to become romantically involved with one of the guys, I say Mugen.

*Spoiler* In the end of the series - eps. 25 and 26 - at a camp fire, they were all sharing things about themselves. The next day at the dock on her way to the island to finaly meet with Sunflower Samurai - Fuu told Jin she didn't want to say anything about her leaving - she set the guys shopping and left on her own. She told Jin this was because it was hard to say goodbye, and because of Mugen.

Eps. 26 - Mugen was about to fight in Jin's battle and Jin yelled at him an order - to save Fuu. Mugen stood there for a minute while Jin explained Fuu needed HIM. He had to save her. Mugen for the first time willingly listened to someone. When he reached Fuu, he fought the battle of his life. For himself and Fuu to save them both. And even afterwards, there seem to be a connection between the two.*end Spoiler*

However, this can be taken in two ways.

1) Fuu feared the journey ending and that Mugen would initiate the final battle between him and Jin. She feared Jin being the strongest of the two, would kill Mugen. They are her only friends, and though they had their differences, she cares for them both as such, therefore, the thought of losing one to the other was painful.

OR
2) Fuu truly did have feelings for Mugen, and didn't want to see something in his face that wasn't there. If she left, and said goodbye, and Mugen was indifferent towards it, it might have broken her heart. Or perhaps she feared seeing emotions there, and she couldn't handle it knowing she had to finally confront the Sunflower Samurai.

Personally, I believe in the first theory. As Mugen is a stray dog, he is not the type to be held down. Jin...I truly believe he loved Shino and in 3 yrs, if he is able, will return to her.

I think the best romantic involvement for Fuu is someone like the boy with the sick mother who died. She seemed to be drawn to him. So I think that's the type of person she would fall for - a deeply caring person who isn't afraid to show his emotions and go the limit for those he cares about.

I think it will be like this....Jin gets with the Shino lady in 3 years, then that ninja girl will hook up with Mugen, and poor Fuu....if Shinsuke would have lived, she could have hooked up with him....
