Uh, cheap ibanez's are really just that. They're cheap. Probably not worth it IMO....

no squier. trust me. go to a pawn shop. i went to two today along with a few garage sales, and i found a few great deals on guitars. one that espeacialy caught my eye. a esp ex 200 for $200. could of got it for less since i know the guy that owns it, but i ended up with my strat. its used. but mabey only used once. check out a pawn first. for sure.

Squier just doesn't make a good guitar! You are better off saving your money and getting a better one, IMO. It is your money, and I can't tell you how to spend it, but your better off just staying away from squier.

i don't trust buying things such as guitars on the net, you don't know how the quality will be until you've already spent the money on it.

go to a guitar center and play some guitars. my used hss strat cost $330 OTD. it was on the used rack, but it is awsome. heart

Also, you should definantly play a guitar before picking it up. One last thing, nothing wrong with a guitar under $300, but if I were in your shoes, I would save a little bit more money and get something better.
