Quint looked around, keeping up with the spider as they headed towards the park where Ashes had been last. Oddly, somewhere deep down he kind of hoped the other was okay. but mostly for poor Chardin's sake.

Chardin prefered the grass to cement it was easier on his legs. The spider stopped suddenly leaning down to pull a strand of hair from the grass. His brow wrinkled in confusing and he held out the long strand of broth hair towards Quint.

Quint blinked softly, peerign at the long hair the other persented to him. "That looks like a strand of Ashes hair...." he said softly, a frown on his face. What had happened to the blind demon?

Chardin ran his fingers though the long hair, nodding. It was master's hair the strand smelled of him. He lifted his head, eyes closed in slints as he search. Something caught his glaze and he scurried to it.

"Hey wait!" Quint called when the spider tore off, dashign after him to keep up. What had gotten into him suddenly?

Chardin froze and tumbled his many legs flailing as he ended up face first in the grass. He tugged them under him, looking up at Quint pouting on the grass. That had hurt.

Quint caught up and grimiced when he had seen the spider tumble over. "Eee.... Sorry...." he said softly, ears flickign down lightly.

A small gurgling whine rose as the spider tested each of his spindly legs before standing. The last back one he folded against his body it hurt when he put his weight on it.

"You okay?" Quint asked softly, crouching down to check on the others spidery legs. The one seemed to be hurt, he really didn't know what to do to help him.

Chardin shook his head, skitting back before wincing. He waved of Quint's help. He was hurt but the kitten wouldn't know what to do..and master said to stay calm till he could help so good intention didn't make it worse.

"U-Um... okay... well.. lets take it slow and maybe it'll start to feel better? Or do you want to rest for a bit?' he asked softly, concered about the poor spider. It was his fautl the other had gotten hurt int he first palce.

"Ssslow," Chardin replied slurring the s sound slightly. The spider started of in a slow easy pace, glancing around trying to remeber what he had seen.

Nodding, the feline follwoed beside him keeping with his easy pase. He was only trying to find Ashes for Chardin's sake, nothing more.

Chardin sat down in the grass pulling out a white letter that smelled faintly of burning amber. It had been sealed with red wax and he ran his fingers across the seal. "L-letter."

Quint peeked over at the other and crouched down next to the spider, tilting his head to the side. "A letter? Is it from Ashes?' he questioned softly. Quite odd to find that out in the open so easily.
