Middling, Writ's house. Monday morning.
Writ woke up at 8. Monday... Time for school. Mom and dad were at the shop, they always opened a little early on Mondays, that was just business. They left Writ to wake himself up. Ugh. He was feeling groggy, he had the strangest dream last night, like, he was growing up in his bed, and he had four toes, with claws! It must've been that tea.
After a decent amount of effort, he got up, his eyes still half closed. He scuttled to the bathroom. After a moment with the toilet, he washed his hands, and splashed his face with the cold water, breaking his tired spell. Writ looked at himself in the mirror. Something seemed different, the mirror was smaller, actually, everything seemed smaller. No, the mirror was the same size, something told him that.
Writ looked at the young man in the mirror, his pointed ears looked bigger, and a whole lot cooler than his own. His hair was longer too. The marks on his face were just like his, just a little darker. Who was he? Writ put a hand up and waved to the stranger, so did the kid in the mirror.
Oh.
"AHHHHHHH!"
Writ's scream echoed throughout the quiet block.

This way, right? It was this way, she was sure. Crow was trying to find Writ, she was bored, lonely, and needed just someone to hang out with for the day.
She pulled her cloak tighter in the morning's light, desperately trying to keep her wings flat to her back, and her legs covered. She had taken long sleeves from a tan sweater and cut them off and turned them into leg-covers, which almost reached to the ground. It was enough to make it look as though she was wearing just a pair of very weird shoes. Hobert had found the sweater, and she was extremely thankful for him just for this reason.
She even had a skirt on and a nice shirt. Maybe his parents wouldn't find her so odd now that she looked somewhat normal. Hell, Writ had funny ears, so she knew her slightly pointed ears wouldn't raise questions.
Suddenly, she heard a scream from somewhere to her right. Without paying much attention, she leaped over a trash can with ease, crashed into the wall, yelped, and then rolled up into a ball.
"Who the bloody heck was that?"
She had no idea she was right under the bathroom window where the scream came from.

Writ was running out of the bathroom, when he tripped on his newly formed feet. A string of curses followed that Writ didn't know before, along with crashes, among other things. What was he going to do? He couldn't let his parents see him like this!
Coyote yawned and smacked his lips, Mornin'
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ME?!" Writ yelled, his voice noticeably deeper.
The god stayed quiet for a moment.
Growth Spurt?
"You did this and you know it!"
Coyote yawned again, he usually got more sleep than this.
Hey, you tied the knot, I'm just going along with it.
"You tricked me!"
Uh, hello? What part of 'Trickster god' didn't you understand?
Writ gave a frustrated grunt. His ears twitched when he heard a yelp. It sounded familiar. He looked outside his window and saw-
"Crow?" He opened the window. Writ almost didn't recgonize her with her wings hidden.

Crow flipped around, she heard some strange commotion from above...then someone stuck his head out.
Who the hell...? Yellow eyes screamed it was Writ but, he looked older, and... He said her name? It had to be.
"W-Writ?" She suddenly blushed for some odd reason as she replied. She then slipped a little due to her odd position.
She blushed even more, once again she didn't understand why. Something pang in the back of her mind, like a woman laughing cruelly at her for blushing so brightly.

"Yeah!"
There was a pause. This was so awkward.
"Um, something happened, so. Yeah."
Ah, the little Crow, been wanting to talk to her friend... Coyote chuckled.
Writ didn't know what that meant, there were more pressing issues anyway.
"Ah, wanna come in?" Writ asked, this whole conversation felt weird from the window, "I think we're attracting a lot of attention."
That was true, ever since that scream, people have been staring at the house, and now at Writ, especially two giggily girls who seemed to be old enough to be in high school.

Crow unfurled herself from the weird position and dashed over to his door, and let herself in. A bit rude, but she didn't want to attract any more attention.
"Writ? What the hell happened to you?!" She exclaimed. Her cheeks were still red, but instead she seemed more upset than anything. Crow stood in the corridor waiting for him.

The teen almost tripped over his own claws on the carpet going to the front door.
"I- I found Coyote, and we did this knot tying thing, and then this happened!" Writ was just as upset as Crow was. He breathed a little, and asked, "You okay? You're all red."

Crow suddenly felt light headed as her skin became very pale, very quickly.
"Coyote?" She queried in a hurried voice, "Who's that? And why does he matter, and...?!" She buckled at her knees.
"You're taller than meee..." She whined.

"He's my- you know." He waved his hands around trying to define it, "That."
"I can't help it!" Writ said responding to the whole tall issue, he was frantic now, "I can't help having four toes either!" He held up his foot to show his little pawfeet.
Hey, Writ.
"What?" Writ responded out loud.
Tell your friend that I want to speak to her god, if she doesn't mind. Speaking of, you don't have to talk out loud you know.
"And now Coyote wants to talk to your god!" He threw his arms out. The newly turned teenager had to sit down, this was too much for someone like him to handle at the moment. Writ walked over to the living room, careful not to hook a claw onto the linoleum, and took a seat on a chair. Writ sighed, putting a hand to his head. His ears were fidgeting in a mix of anger, excitement and confusion.

Now why would that be?
Crow yelped out loud. Who was that woman's voice? She figured maybe it was just her own mind playing a trick on her. She felt like a lot of things were playing tricks with her at the moment.
Writ fidgeted with worry and confusion. Crow simply followed him and waited a moment before speaking.
"Who the hell is Coyote, Writ, and what is this business about Gods?"
Goddess, thank you. The woman cooly noted in her mind.
Crow felt her skin's color fade. "Goddesses, too... Writ, er, calm down. It's...okay... So you have four toes? I have hooves, and wings. Maybe... Maybe you can wear a big pair of shoes and maybe hide those?"

Writ looked at Crow. When you put it in that prespective... It made him feel so much better about his little toes.
"You don't know?" He looked surprised, everyone had to go to the Green Lady to get in The Game, right? That was his impression.
"Did you meet the Green Lady?" Writ asked.
Tell her to tell her to meet at my realm. It's empty right now.
Writ really did not feel like taking orders from Coyote right now, the God would have to answer some questions before he did anything more for him.

Crow, stop acting so naive.
"YESIMETTHEGREENLADYBUTONLYFORAMINUTE." Crow yelled. "I didn't exactly stick around long as I met her at her shop. I met Anubis to join the game, and he gave me this!"
Crow ditched her cloak and pointed to the silver armband with the detailed and mesmerizing Celtic knot that was latched to her right upper arm. She then sighed. "He said Morrigan gave it to me and then I switched a few times into different animals!" She said all of this very, very quickly.
Yes, finally you say my name without such disdain.
"The voice is getting annoying, you hear one too, don't you Writ?"

Right, Morrigan, that's her name. Coyote said, as if just remembering a name of a girlfriend. I'll just beat the drum, she'll know.
Everything went quiet in Writ's mind. It looks like Coyote left for a while.
"Yeah, he's not annoying as he is confusing." Writ sighed again, "It looks like he's gone right now."
"And who's this Anubis guy? I've never heard of him."

"You haven't? Weird." Crow said before she let out a sigh. "I keep feeling something strange, I just..."
Carren, you know what I am.
Yeah, I don't like to note that.
Carren...
Out!
No. Not until you say it.
"I just didn't want to believe I was damned by a Goddess." Crow leaned against a wall and slumped down into the floor. "So I guess we're both damned in a way. You sprouted and got claws and I'm this half the time. What did we ever do to deserve this?"
See, some nice people would see this as a blessing, but no, you regard it as damnation. I could show you such, but, I understand your anger. You're like me, in a way, child.
I'm nothing like you, b***h.
Fine, have it your way, I hear the beats of a drum calling me, or, attempting to. With that, her head suddenly felt emptier than before.
"I think mine just left too."

"It's not the claws that disturb me, as it is growing up overnight. I mean, I just lived faster than I ever have before. I was eleven when I slept, and now I'm... Older." Writ didn't realize it, but he was actually speaking like the age he looked.
"I don't think my mom and dad would be able to recognize me anymore..." He said forlornly, his ears drooping.
Coyote was standing on top of his Spirit World plateau, beating his drum. He waited.
