Sure, she had helped look for Liliana's friend a bit and that was a bit of a downer, but life was pretty good right now. Very good. And Remus had let her see the eggs and appointed her one of their guardians. Not that many could get past Remus & Nari, but it was nice to be trusted on that regard. Remus & Nari knew that their kits would have to be homed, because that was the way of kitsu, but they were having dificulty deciding which one they would each keep & where the others would find homes. The youngest Weasley was half-rooting for the little Gryffindore egg to join her family.
And her angelic "brother" in her other family recently had eggs with his mate. Four eggs was unheard of in angelics, so obviously he was proud. Ginny was happy for them all. Being happy herself, it was almost easier. Lady Aria Starstone Hemione was walking around, and looked up to see Ginny. "Heya Ginny! How are you?" She still had the basket, which she kept a CAREFUL watch over, wanting to be sure it wouldn't be alone. "You look all excited."

Hermione laughed. "Forgetful, Ginny? Last time you saw me I had it then... It's that autumn colored Fa'e egg.... It's been feeling special lately too... It still hasn't hatched, though... I can't help but worry a little about it." She opens it, and peeks in, making sure it was still the same as ever.

Ginny laughed in kind, automatically blushing a little in embarrassment. "Oh right! I'd forgotten! I've gotten so used to seeing our spring f'ae as eggs, I'll probably be surprised when they do finally hatch!"
Padding beside her friend the red-head sat down. "Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Remus' newest kits hatched before these f'ae." She offered the news with an offhanded shrug, not thinking that perhaps Hermione might not already know.
"So what've you been up to?"

Hermione nods a little at this. "I wouldn't... wait newest eggs? He had more? Well! I'm happy for him!" She sounded a little wistful, but smiled warmly. "Oh not much. Been exploring, reading, egg watching, trying to track Heliaro... Ah well. What about you?" She tilts her head, a warm smile on her face. "Have you seen Harry lately?" Her smile turned a little wicked.

"Recently?" Her grin was wide, mischievous, and seemed very pleased with herself. "You could say we've been seeing a lot of each other." Brown eyes twinkled. She trusted Hermione could read into that however she would... and likely still be right. But she had caught the wistful tone to her friend's voice and debated asking about Ron.
"And yeah... more eggs. 6 this time. Our dear professor is certainly not shooting blanks." Another reason not to ask about Ron: if they had been seeing each other anyway near how she and Harry... well, Ginny really did not want to be thinking bout her brother that way. She shot her friend a sheepish look, trusting Hermione to be understanding.
But if he had not even been around... then Ginny would hunt her brother down and give him a firm piece of her mind!!

Hermiona considers her words, then grins wickedly. "So does that mean we should be expecting eggs from the two of YOU any day soon, Ginny?" SHe teases and pokes her wickedly.
At the comment about the professor, Hermione made an 'ew' face. "Not what I wanted to be thinking when I think of Lupin, Ginny!" She pauses, then sighs softly. "Seen Ron at all...?"

Light pink fur did not well hide the blush that followed. "Well... maybe not soon..." Ginny let that say enough for the moment.
At Hermione's face she had to laugh though. Hermione might not want to think it... but Ginny had to live with it! And their professor was certainly amorous with his mate. Of course she could not say anything about that, not now. But it was a laugh that stilled at the following question. Or rather the sigh & tone that accompanied it. "No. No I haven't which is likely a good thing, if you follow my meaning. Not that I'd care if he'd aprove of Harry -since he's my choice= though I know he would, but...." Now her ears were as red as her face coloring her pale fur with their brightness. "Well he's not likely to have been too keen on certain things, is he?"
"Why? Hasn't he told you if he has or not?"

Hermione laughed softly at her first words, a little louder at the second about his comment on Harry. "Oh Ron might cope, since it's Harry. I'm pretty sure he WANTS you and Harry together. Or that's my impression."
She pauses at the last question, and looks away. "We've seen each other once." Her voice was a little hollow. "We talked... we... we said... well... some... REALLY.. important things..." She flushes a bit. "And then... I haven't seen him since."

"Well, yeah... but brothers & sisters really don't need full details of each others' lives, you know..." Ginny muttered under her breath though she was glad to get a second opinion on how she thought Ron would be about her & Harry being together. She watched Hermione's flushing face with an arching brow, her eyes widening. "Wait... He didn't... He did! He admited he was head-over-heals for you and then disappeared!! That git! I knew he did. You know I did. Sisters know these things. Stupid Ron. Ruddy git!" What could have kept Ron from Hermione, if he'd admitted liking her, or even more loving her? Wasn't Harry. Ginny blushed. No... she knew where Harry was most times so it wasn't that. Quiditch? There were no real teams around here that she knew about so not likely, unless he was off practicing by himself.
"Oh when I find him..." Oh yes, a wonderful piece of fiery temper was working up with Ron's name all over it.

Hermione smiled a little at the first part. "Well I didn't mean that... I meant he'd be more likely to handle it then with any of the other boys you've dated...." She sighs and nods at the second part. "I told him how I felt, he told me he felt the same... and then after that day I haven't seen him since..."
She sits, her head hanging. "I wish I understood Ron, or knew where he was... Something..."

Ginny rolled her eyes. "My brother is a stupid git. If not for you, I wouldn't even try to understand him." She cast a glance at her friend, fringed with worry but mostly still showing her frustration and anger with her brother and the turning of wheels beneath her red hair. "I can't say I understand how you feel like you do for him, but then he's my brother." Her laugh had a sharp ring to it. "And he's a boy... they're really not to be understood, are they?" She smirked a little, remembering how she had needed to insist Harry show her how he felt because otherwise he would never have made the first move out of fear. Funny that, he had seemed more afraid of her reaction than fighting He-who-must-not-be-named. At least in Ginny's eyes.
"Look... you want me to go see if I can find him? Get him to come here? Ruddy useless for us to be going over why's when we can ask him." And threaten him within an inch of his life if I have to.

"It would be nice, if you had a clue where he might be, Ginny, but... I mean... do you know where he lives? Where he hangs out? I've no clue, I've not seen him in so long... What if he thinks this egg belongs to me? I'd have such a hard time explaining!" She seems to be panicking a little, but then... it's been an age.

"He'd better know better than to think that of you! And 'sides, if he doesn't know about f'ae eggs he needs to be whalloped anyway." Only then did Ginny pause in her rant. "I don't know where he is, but my family is pretty vast -both of them- and normally we can find what we're looking for. and we can use some muggle machina to communicate to each other too. Much quicker than owls." Putting a paw to her ear she spoke subvocally into the comunicator lodged within. Then she winked at Hermione, looking pretty pleased with herself.

Hermione smiled. "A telephone, perhaps, Ginny?" She was amused, as always, about how the wizarding world viewed muggle technology. "Or something more complicated? And I hope he... he is found soon."

The redheaded witch grinned. Before she had been wizard-raised but now she was more accustomed to muggle devices. With the wizarding world not hidden here, things had to change. She supposed it happened when there was no Ministry of Magic. Though she had a feeling even most muggles did not have some of the things their family did. "Bit more complicated, I'd warrant." Lifting her ear & pushing her mane of red hair out of the way Ginny turned her head to show the muggle-born witch. At the base of her ear, just the right size to fit over the ear canal was a small mechanical device. "One of the audios in our family makes them. Sometimes she gets help from a couple of the talaye and now a voronwe that's a lot like her, but she's the only one with fingers so it's easier for her. "Ginny shrugged and leg her hair fall back. "Communicators, Rikku calls this type of machina. Ruddy brilliant, I say."
Then she gave her friend what she hoped was a reasuring smile. "I'm sure they will."
