I noticed there are a lot of threads in the Classical, Jazz, Blues forum about Jamie Cullum. I'm curious as to what your opinions on him are. A lot of people really like him, while others say he doesn't play true jazz and stuff like that.
I own his CD and I think he does a great job of blending pop and jazz. He's got nice songs, and his covers of other artists' songs are really good too. Your thoughts?

I adore Jamie Cullum. He has a marvelous way of taking songs from "way back when" (i.e. "Singing in the Rain", I Get a Kick Out of You"...among others) and making them so very much his own that you'd swear he had composed them himself. His soloing skills are phenomenal, as well...
