I wrote about this in my journal, but I wanted it to get out to more people. I've decided that I like Gaia a lot better than Neopets. I became used to having to do almost everything myself if I wanted items. I've been very lucky to be in an amazing guild that donates what/when it can, but the members in general seem to stick to themselves and don't really care about fellow players.
Gaia is so different. Yesterday I was GIVEN my quest item and another item on my wishlist. Today I had a trade waiting for the same dress! The two items came from a complete stranger--we were bumping each other's threads, that's it. Jelly offered the second dress because Purkles are awesome like that biggrin heart Thank you again Jelly for the offer, I hope you can put it to good use.
I had no idea how kind people could be. No wonder I have so much fun here.

Awwww, that's really great you've had a good experience with the people! And congrats on getting your quest items!
There are many facets to Gaia, and some of them I don't like, but the same is true for Neo. I'm still addicted to both, and like/dislike things about both.

wow....that is so cool....i still like neo and am quite addicted to it..but i have found myself hanging around gaia more...you do meet some awesome people around here...just like neo you still run into the occasional meanie..but i just turn the other way when that happens...rubs eternals head for some of the purkle luck razz rofl

I kinda miss Neo when I read posts like this whee But I haven't been there in ages, and I'd probably be completely lost if I went back... I barely figured out how to turn my galleries into actual galleries razz

That is so fabulous for you. As for Neo, I have not been there as much as here lately. It's hard for me to not be here. I have become so into RPing with my pets that I wish we could do that sort of stuff with our neopets. It would be so fun. I still am there on a daily basis. But as for playing much there, I don't.

I wish I could say the same as everyone else but I just can't. I like gaia but I'm not here as often as I am on neo. Maybe it's just because I just don't really understand what I need to do here. I just love neo, my guild, being on council, etc. I do apologize to you all.

Awww don't feel bad rue! I really like all the stuff I can do on neo better, because there are so many different things there to get addicted to, and it's faster earning nps than gold.. Lately I've just been polling here and making gold, and not hardly fishing anymore, and I stopped playing slots after the first few days. If I felt like it, I could go get involved in some hot topics of conversation in extended discussion, but I'm not up for that right now! blaugh

Thanks fawN. I just don't feel as close here to everyone as I do on neo. It's my fault as I just don't spend the time here. I've never tried to fish and I can't seem to get to get the slots to work for me. I don't quite understand questing. I finally put some of you all in my home.
I do agree that nps are easier to earn than gold but since I'm working on getting the number 6 avatar, it's much harder than I thought. I'm never going to get that many nps but that's still my goal.

roocee jellysundae i don't get the questing thing either! i like it on here and on Neo. though i tend not to spend that much time on either. too wrapped up simming at the moment blaugh Glad to see I'm not alone *hugs* I pretty much only poll and here on Gaia...oh! and bump on Sunny's lotto! I'm a bigger neo fan and generally stick to the couch no matter where....purkles are my rock. heart heart heart

i'd like to say Thank You so much to fawN.
emails have been plentiful about the new gallery/shop system on Neo.
i just mentioned that it wasn't an ideal situation for me as i only had 29k to my name so i couldn't expand my gallery.
so that lovely lady got me to put up some ummagines in trades, and she gave me 150k eek
i wish the whole world could be as great a place to be as the Couch is.
so i have expanded away today and made new catagories(including a purkle one) and now i'm very happy 4laugh
you guys really are the best

MysticfawN I really like all the stuff I can do on neo better, because there are so many different things there to get addicted to, and it's faster earning nps than gold... "DITTO" ~ and though I have been very fortunate on neo with some nifty gifts sent my way over the last two years, I have also managed to 'have' more there by staying broke and playing daily for the points

I'm loving all your catagories! Galleries are an awesome feature for me. Since I always had more items for display than sale, I ended up changing straight to gallery and in most cases only needing a shop size of 5 or 10. I just really hat pricing items for sale, and end up playing games for income. That is the thing I love most and feel most comfortable with on neo, I can always sustain my account on neopoints earned from games. I love being able to change clothes here on Gaia, but on the other hand it is pretty hard to afford much of a selection rofl Gold does not grow on trees here, at least none of the trees I have seen rolleyes
