Today in St. Paul there was an annual pro-life protest at the only Planned Parenthood clinic in the state that provides abortion. The news was interviewing people of both sides, and someone on the pro-life side said: "We come here every year on Good Friday to stand up for what Jesus died for."
Now, I'm no Christian, but I have general knowledge of the Bible and no where do I remember reading that Jesus died on the cross to end abortions.
Another woman was comparing a child to Moses, saying that he too was saved here... on the sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood? I thought that Moses was saved from being abandoned, I don't recall that particular part of the Bible talking about his mother considering abortion.
I just... I just don't understand where they get this s**t!
In slightly better news, the Planned Parenthood wound up making tons of money in fundraising during the protest because it drew so many pro-choicers to the area.

... because Jesus REALLY wants to know what's going on in your crotches. Make sure you spill all the details now.
Hey, if he can know, why can't I?
What's new with YOUR crotch life today? xp

Grip of Death ... because Jesus REALLY wants to know what's going on in your crotches. Make sure you spill all the details now. Hey, if he can know, why can't I? What's new with YOUR crotch life today? xp My monthly half-abortion came today! I'm so... not distressed! To answer your question, Spiral, I'm pretty sure that Jesus didn't die for foetii. (Hey, that rhymes!) He supposedly died for the sins that people commit.

I saw the news report on it, too (I wish I had been there). I hate how people have to drag religion into everything.
Saint Paul has been making me sad lately...

... you'd THINK that fundies would put the two and two together.
"hmmm, my preacher told me to vote for George W. Bush because God is with him."
Religion + politics...
NOT ONE BUT two terms with the a*****e.
worst presidency ever. mad
Religion + politics....
taking other people's rights AWAY. stare Because a stupidass ideology that can't even be proven is MORE important than people's practical freedoms. <********, like I said before, it would be funny in an ironic way if it was actually the fundie Christians who'll vote the future antichrist IN. cool (*this is assuming that their interpretations of future events are correct, but I don't believe it at all. it's all a buncha bunk. I mainly said that to make a point).

WTF.
Jesus died so that you could have everlasting life when YOU die. He didn't die to make women incubators.
Idiots.

Oxymoronic Username He supposedly died for the sins that people commit. I don't buy that God would be so generous that for all the s**t people do in this world, he could only be arsed to die just ONCE to make up for it. I bet it's predatory lending. wink

At the risk of sounding totally crazy...I think Jesus would have been pro-choice. You know, the idea of "every child a wanted child" kinda fits in with the whole "love thy neighbor" thing. At least to me.
Or I'm nuts. xp

Jesus shouldn't have anything to do with what I do with my body because I'm not a Christian! I respect his teachings, but I don't feel obligated to follow everything the Bible says.

I bet it's predatory lending. wink Maybe he figured, "Eh, I'll give up a kid to save the world. It's not like he'll be gone for long." Come on. Bringing back your dead son even though he died for your sins? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of dying in the first place?

I'll check my bible tonight. ^^;

Jesus never spoke out against abortion or for it.
I'm not a christian but Jesus was one awesome guy, it's just his fanboys and fangirls that give him a bad image.

So he gets Jesus killed, and now we don't have to. Jesus defeats death and all that crap, by coming back.
