Sirius stood still next to the river banks, staring blankly at the fish swimming around his front hooves which were in the cool water just past his hooves. "Spring is filled with live, even as simple as this.." The stallion craned his neck down so his muzzle was barely touching the surface of the water.

It was mid-morning on a clear day in spring. The birds were chirping, much to Sirius' annoyence, the fish were out and the smaller creatures were out foraging. Perfect day, hm?

Sirius' ears flattened suddenly as he stomped one of his front hooves into the water, nearly claiming a fish's life. "May a curse fall on her.." This stallion had gotten into an arguement erlier, with his two-legged of course. How he hated that mare* sometimes! Her prancing around like she owned him just further boiled his blood.

[mares*: Sirius calls all women "mares" and all men "stallions".]

A wonderful day to enjoy his time out in the open, like he always did, he relaxed himself not too far away from the river. Spshh! Sudden sound came from nowhere, he heard it was further down from where he was. Lifting his head, he got up and onto his feet, slowly trotting towards the source of the sound. There he found a grey stallion staring deeply in the water and chatting with himself. Dinyin wondered whats wrong with him, he didn't seem too happy at all. "Why be unhappy on such a perfect day?" he wondered.

The stallion walked towards this other one and stood about one meter away from him, "I personally don't like the water much, but sometimes when rain falls, it feels good when the drops touch your body." He didn't know if this was a good way to start a conversation or not, but he at least tried. Glancing over to the not so happy one.

"It differs if the sky is wanted to harm you with their tears or just simply calm you." The stallion brought his neck back up and turned his head to look at the other voice. "Another stallion I see..I seem to find more mares around this river then stallions."

"Water can be one of the most calming elements, but not when it turns into a hard solid and falls onto your back."[hail! XD] Sirius stated cooly, looking the stallion over. "You are..much different then ones I have seen. All..covered in strange colors and markings, they are. But you are not."

Good, at least this other one had replied to his sentence. "True." he said nodding about the harder droplets ((xDD)). "I like to sit in quieter places, where I can relax," taking a breath in to smell the fresh air, "indeed, most mares do come here." He was right, most of his family were mares, and majority of them have to have come here one time or another. He knew that his mother comes here to think a bit about her life and think of the future. Dinyin does the same, but mainly in the forest. "What places do you like to be in? Loud places? Bright & sunny? Silence?" he askec curiously about the stallion.

It felt good to find someone to talk to..sometimes. Talking to strangers or someone you've never met before was far more interesting than speaking with his sisters, who either danced around him or try and get him up to play. Get annoying after a while. This was when Dinyin wondered if the grey stallion had any siblings. "Do you have any family ralated on this land?" looking across the river watchign a bird peck around for worms.

A slow nod, replying to his question, "I travel to the mountains to be with my two-legged, but she can be as bad as a kalona mare in the middle of a pregnancy." Sirius snorted, it was true. Soyala did tend to have a rather bad attitude, but perhaps using that to describe her was an exaggeration..or an understatement.

He nodded again. It did feel better to talk to someone other then a mare who seemed to care far too much at times. "I do have one sibling. Brisco..my older brother. Though we don't look too much alike, you can see a resemblence between us at times, but not in our personalities."

"I have a human too, although the ones in my family don't go to the teepee much, so my human goes off traveling. I wonder where she is at right now." he sensed that the stallion's two-legger was the one who is causing him to sound unhappy earlier, also by how he described her. "Does your human treat you right?" he asked not looking over to him.

He nodded about the sibling, he can relate to that matter. Him and his sisters do resemble each other a bit on the outside, it is the inside that is complete difference. He was the lazy one in the family. Although not the mean one.

"Soyala? Treat me right? Hah..I'm the one that takes care of her. Helps her hunt and everything, but all she wants me to do is find a mate and leave her alone." His ears flattened back again, narrowing his eyes he gazed back into the shallow waters.

"Brisco's the only family I have, so I try and be around him as much as I can. I do not count Soyala as my family." Sirius stated coldly, stomping one of his hooves into the mud near the river. "I'm more like a slave then family to her."

He stayed quiet at first and thougth about what he was going to say. "Sounds like if she...owns you. I guess not everyone gets what they want. My two-legger is more like my friend. She doesn't own me and I don't own her, we just live in the same area." he nodded and hoped it didn't sound like he was bragging in any way. The sun warmed his body up and he felt tired. Giving a quick yawn, he layed on his stomache and watched the water flow by bringing tiny creatures with it's strong push.

"Some do say if no one loves you, you still got love from your family. Although, I sometimes feel like there is no love from them because they're all elsewhere. Our teepee is probably pretty dusty, no one has been in it for a while." he nodded. Trying to show...he didn't even know his name. Getting up again, he stretched his hind legs by pushing them deep into the soil. "I'm Dinyin by the way." smiling towards him.

"She also thinks that she owns me. That all I'm supposed to do is help her. Hmph...that mare's thinking is messed up." Sirius laid himself down in the muddy banks. He didn't mind, the cool, moistened ground felt good at the sun rose to a higher peak as it reached the afternoon.

"And I'm Sirius." He returned the smile, "I haven't been back to our teepee in a good seven moons or so. We live in the mountains so it's quite a trek to get back and down. Soyala insists that she stay away from the village. Something about..abandoning their ways or something. I never pay much attention to her if I can help it."

"Doesn't sound too good, the relathioship between you and your human." he said feeling bad for the unfortuneate ones out there who also isn't enjoying their life much. Dinyin's human probably wasn't going to come back, she probably was off else where and will stay there, although what did that have to do with anything at the moment. If he said that, it wouldn't really help Sirius. So, the teepee was left off for him and his family now.

He looked up at the tall hills, standing proudly with the sun rising over it. "It must have a beautiful view up there, and relaxing since not many like to make the long travel from up there to down here." breathing in the air once again. It was a beautiful time in the Soquili lands, Dinyin loved the weather and how it was warm. He hated the cold winter times, although he only experienced the end of winter, so he didn't really get the chance to feel the actual thing.

"It's not one of the best relationships I've been in...but it's better then being alone." Sirius nodded slightly, still gazing into the river. He needed no pity, nor did her want any. "Soyala normally inhabits the teepee. I live in the wild msot the time."

Golden eyes looked up to the mountains, "The peaks of the earth. A beautiful place they are..my home. I know the are we live in like my own hoof. We live near the forest's edge, but far enough up to keep away from the villagers..and other Soquili."

The wind brushed by his body and the sounds of the birds chirping made him feel relaxed and it felt like he was standing on a boat, letting the brigth sun shine over him and the when push by. A little wish not too big from a piece of grass jumped from the water to make a leap about a hoof away from it's last destination, causing a droplet to fly over and hit Dinyin's leg. He shook a bit as he woke up from his day dreaming and tried to focus on Sirius' words.

"Have you've met anyone that you had a good relathioship with?" he asked wondering if the stallions made friends often. Everyone had to have some type of friend, it could be from a person to a tree in the forest Anything could be your friend, was it possible out there, there would be something that hates so much that you just can't be friends with. He looked down and looked closely at the yellow grass, that had died under the snow stacked ontop of it during winter. There are many things out there Dinyin didn't know.
