So, what would be the hardest part of the eightfold path for you guys? I guess the hardest for me would have to be Right Speech. It's really hard for me not to say something mean. Another one would be Right thought. Sometimes, my mind think really bad things. lol

I think it is to keep a Right Mind. Not that I have evil or dark thoughts, it's just that I am something of a day dreamer or a dreamer in general, so my mind always wonders to the "what if"s and "could be"s and "if only"s. sweatdrop

Struggling with depression makes Right Effort the most difficult part of the Eightfold Path for me. When it gets bad, I have no energy to put forth any kind of effort in action, speech or thought. I tend to give up practice, to give up studying and to ignore what I've already learned to be true and just to hope for swift death or oblivion.
Though it's been a while since I've had a bad spell of depression (the last was in December).

Right Effort. I'm an unnaturally good procrastinator, and it makes doing things that much more difficult for me. I can come up with dozens of reasons why I shouldn't, off the cuff, study something or sit in meditation for awhile. So difficult! sweatdrop

卍 Right Mind, probably. I daydream all the time and sometimes think things that are really mean (though I wouldn't say/act on those things and usually scold myself for thinking them xP).
But yeah. And sometimes that Effort bit really gets me. Sometimes I'm like a Super Buddhist and sometimes I'm just... "Well, maybe I'll do it tomorrow or next year or something". xP 卍

I would have to agree with that. It's been so hard getting my college stuff together lately as well.... crying and my transfer stuff too....

I think having the right mindfulness is a bit hard for me, i am no where near the state of even having the 'correct' mindset, let alone even being able to go near right consciousness sweatdrop

I am not Buddhist, but applying the eightfold path to my own lifestyle and set of spiritual standards, I'd say right concentration. I often have a hard time focusing, be it on a project, chores, reading a book, (writing a post on Gaia,) or meditation. There's times when I can focus better than others, but it seems like it takes alot more mental focus than other people need to use.

Right Speech and Right Mind.
I have ADHD, both of these are hard for me to rein in and control.

For me it's the right mind and right speech I'm working on right now, as these seem to be the hardest to obtain but most useful in practice. 3nodding

For me, it's Right Effort, though in the opposite way. I don't have a lot of control over my wanting to do things...I can be obsessively (and obnoxiously) ambitious at times. I kinda overshot the "middle way" of the path.
