My fav. is Sabriel (hence the username) and the reason it's my favorite was that it caught my attention from the first page. I couldn't put it down and finished it a few hours later. Also after I finished I couldn't stop thinking about the story. And because of that one book I decided to read all the other books by that author, Garth Nix. Currently he's my fav. author

My favorite book would have to be The Lives of Christopher Chant by Dianna Wynne Jones. It has a great story, great humor, and it's part of a GREAT series (the Chronicles of Chrestomanci). I couldn't stop thinking about it after I read it, and couldn't put it down while I was reading it.

My favorite fantasy book would have to be The Once and Future King by T. H. White. I read it in eighth grade, and it completely opened my mind to both religion and fantastic Arthurian legend. If you can work your way through the very beginning, you'll find it to be dramatically epic, filled with Monty-Pythonesque humor, and definitely worth your time!

You know Dianna Waynne Jones is one of my favorate authers. She wrote Howls moving castle and the compleet guide to fantacyland I found both of them monumentaly funny, and fantastic reads. I got my old english teacher to read aloud from the guide to fantacyland, he is a former acter and let me tell you that was the funniest thing I have ever heard read aloud in my life!

I'm tied between Jane Yolen's Dragon's Blood series and Meredith Ann Pierce's Darkangel trilogy. Those are both series I loved growing up.

That's really hard to choose.

Sara Douglasses Wayfarer Redemption Series or Jim Butchers Codex Alera.
Both just blow my mind with the imagination it must have took to create completely different worlds like they did. New societies, new species. They're great books to read if you like fantasy.

Peter Pan has got to be my favorite fantasy book of all time. I first read it a couple years ago. It's really a very dark book. It's odd, too; Kind of like you have to be high to comprehend what's going on. I'd recommend it, definitely.

My favorite book? Single book? Do you know how hard that is? I'll go by the ones I read the most, because I really can't decide on an absolute favorite.

Lireal by Garth Nix

It's really hard to pick one book or series as my favourite, but in my mind The Castaways of the Flying Dutchman series by Brian Jacques (author of the Redwall series) stands out among everything else I have read. I have the three that have been published so far (Castaways of the Flying Dutchman, The Angel's Command and Voyage of Slaves), and I have read each at least five times. The main character and the people that surrond him are really well developped, and are quite unforgettable.

After that the books that come to mind are The Lord of the Rings series and the Harry Potter series. Also, of course, the Redwall series.

Dragon's Blood is an excellant series too! I had forgotten them because I was trying to think of books based on the ones that I own, but I read those from the library a while back.

I have too many to choose from!!! It would have been easier for me to name an author or two.

Ummm...Beauty by Robin McKinley would be one (I wore my copy out). The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle (likewise). There are a ton more, but since I remember having to replace those books for sheer wear, they'll do for now.

I was an avid fantasy fan when I was in highschool, and even though I don't read fantasy books that much anymore, I don't mind re-reading Robin Hobb's The Liveship Trader's Trilogy again. I also read Lord of the Rings multiple times, even now. That series never get old at all.
