I saw one of the Jaws movies on TV when I was but a young lad, and ever since I've had a serious phobia of the water. For a month after watching it I couldn't go into the swimming pool that was only 6 feet deep and you could see everything, so despite I knew nothing was there, I couldn't tread. Being in a boat in the ocean freaks me out, and I hardly ever swim in wild water.
Whether a movie traumatized you, or just freaked you out as a kid, tell us here!

I saw The Birds at a Drive-In as a youngster and to this day large flocks of birds creep me out. It was just terrifying to me. Also the first time I saw Silence of the Lambs, my friend and I walked out to the car clutching each other and literally crying, we were so scared in the parking lot. I don't recall ever having been that scared again!

I cant recall any movies that really scared me to be afraid of anything in life but i remember a couple times when something popped out of knowhere scaring me half to death. One time it was with the movie Indian and the Cuboard with the rat jumping out from the floor and Shan-Yu from Mulan when he confronted the emperor. I saw Mulan in theaters so when seeing this big creppy guy come out of knowhere yes of course it would be surprising.

I was scared by Arachnaphobia. I remember vividly what happens in that movie even though I havent seen it in over 16 years. It scared the crap out of me. I still have a problem with spiders. burning_eyes

Most horror movies scared me as a kid and I watched a lot, my mother did night shifts back when I was around 8-10 and that's when I'd stay awake all night watching horror movies.
It was mad but great. So many scary nights, the worst films were by Alfred Hitchcock

Two that really creeped me out as a kid, were John Carpenter's The Fog and Halloween. The music got to me the most. A few others I can remember getting nervous by are The Omen, Amityville Horror, Children of the Corn, and one of The Blobs.
