Staaaare. After a full fifteen minutes, Tara decided that the note really would not make much more sense without using the strange device humans called... a telephone. Trying to think back she came to the conclusion that no, she didn't remember him turning into anything. Of course, it could have happened while she wasn't there and Aysel was just to panicked to tell her. Or even while there was no one else there.
Finally the woman moved to the kitchen, locking the door behind her. Aysel was upstairs sulking but Korin was coloring at the table. The boy looked up as she came in. "Hi, Mommy. I'm drawing you a picture of us," he paused and looked at it seriously. "There's a lot of blue and green," he observed.
Glancing over the picture she smiled and gave him a peck on the head. "Yes, there is," the woman replied. Be brave in front of your children! Hiding her emotions behind a cheerful mask she moved to the phone. "Mommy's going to call Rouge, so keep the noise down," she informed Korin, who just went back to coloring after a mumbled assent.
With ominous rings Tara waited breathlessly. Ring. Ring. Ri-

"Allo, Rouge speaking, what's up Tara?" she said cheerfully. "You calling about getting Korin registered for some classes?"

Strange. She was pretty sure that she hadn't gotten a phone with mind reading capabilities. But then Rouge was probably doing this for quite a few kids.
"Yes, I am." Pause..Was there something else she was supposed to say? Better make something up quick. "Do I need to come up...?" the woman trailed off leaving Rouge to fill in the blanks.
Korin continued to color.

"It's called caller ID" Rouge laughed, knowing the reason for Tara's pause. "And that'd be the most logical reason for you to be calling. Yes you guys need to come up. Both to register him and because there's a baby dragon or two that want to play with the kids and Apala."

"Of course," the woman murmured. Korin looked up, then reached for a red crayon and drew in a blush on his mom. "If the teleporter's fixed, Aysel is grounded and I'd rather not leave her home alone so Apala should stay to. If not then I guess it won't make much of a difference.." The dragons sparked a thought. Perhaps when they went up she'd inquire as to a guardian for Korin.

"Um........I'm not sure if it's fixed actually. Most of hte people coming by haven't been in groups. Karyn's been-" and suddenly Tara, Korin, and a very suprised Aysel and Apala were standing before her. "I'll take that as a no it is not. Sorry." she said embarassedly. "I need to get on Karyn about that."
Behind Rouge's desk Diyaka and Feejhu were sitting on the big couch looking at a big book of deities. It was Dia's favorite book as it showed him whatever deity he wanted to see the past form of.

At least it was kind enough to set them on their feet and in one piece. Before Tara could reply, Aysel turned to her mom with a very crafty look on her face. "Does this mean I'm not grounded anymore?" she asked.
A frown creased the woman's brow. "You are still grounded, home or ship. Besides.. Most of the temptations aren't available here." With a huff the luna moth turned to her dragon, chatting with him in low tones.
Korin blinked as the kitchen was replaced with a place he had been to once or twice before. Moving quickly he hid behind Tara, peeking out to wave a little at Dia whom he vaguely remembered.

"******!" Diyaka shouted and suddenly the pages in the book began to flip. The book's pages finally landed at one particular page. A yougn man with light blue skin and looooong black hair, was sitting on a throne that was draped in black velvet. He wore what looked like a gown and a long spangly silver earring. Strangely however he still had a masculine beauty. Dia grinned and held up the book to show the bunch. "This is what Korin used to look like." he said with a huge smile. "Pretty."
Rouge smiled and nodded, sitting down. "The rest of the ship is being cleaned so you guys will be stuck in here for a bit anyway. Have a seat we can discuss what classes Korin needs."

Korin stuck his head out further as a Diyaka shouted. Seeing the book he scooted out a bit. "Very pretty.." he agreed. That was what he was supposed to be? Tugging a bit at his (not pierced) ear he frowned. Tacky earring. Why in the world was that guy..er..him..er..whatever, wearing it?
Tara took a seat. "Well.." she said slowly. "G.E. I guess.. I know Aysel has special classes but other than that I don't know what a regular human curriculum is like."
Aysel plopped on the floor, firmly turning her back on the group. Apala made some noises which appeared to try to initiate conversation with his partner. Darn it. He needed to learn English soon.

Diyaka looked at Korin's ear and at the Korin in the picture. "Very pretty. You already have the nice skin." he said with a grin.
Feejhu was excited. The boy had blue skin and she had green! Another kid with funny skin! Yeah!
"We are offering history, math, art, english, culture class and gym. We'll have other stuff when they're older" Rouge said with a nod.
Suddenly a small noise was heard and that small baby dragon that Aysel had met before fell out of the cabinet. She was a bit bigger now but still small and she had tiny legs now. Leaning up she looked at Aysel and Apala and waved her tail shyly. "Hi." she whispered quietly in that strangely accented form for draconic.

Oh no. He was not going to let it happen again. Attempting (and failing) to be subtle Apala scuttled around so that he was between Aysel and the dragonling. "My partner," he growled in draconinc.
Korin nodded from behind his mom. He had her skin, he saw once. Of course he still didn't really understand why he covered it up. "Mommy has it too.." he offered.
Tara nodded listening to the class schedule. "Allright.." she said slowly, "That sounds good.." For a moment she hesitated, glancing at the dragon. "May I ask.. I'd like to get Korin a pet that I can trust to protect him when I'm not around. Do you know any places that are reliable?"

The baby blinked a few times. She was confused. "Part-ner?" she asked. "What is part-ner?" she asked, cocking her head to the side. The little female mainly just wanted to play with these two beings as she didn't really get that Apala was jealous or what his purpose was. As far as she was concerned creatures of her kind and humanoids were playmates.
"Preety." Feejhu said with a nod.
Rouge smiled. "Yeah there are a bunch of creatures on the ship that have younglings that can be taken as pets. If you're looking for a guardian for Korin then I'd suggest either a lunican fang or a dragon but seeing as how Apala's reacting to Neina I'd say it'd be better to get him a fang. They're Tison wolves pretty much. Very protective and well trained. Aiden has one."

"No, we really don't need another dragon in the house," The spells were straining on her budget as it was. She might have to change a few things around. More immediate cost, but less longterm. Hmm...
I protect her and we work together to...to...keep other people safe and stuff. Pala didn't really elaborate on the stuff since he wasn't entirely certain what that stuff would be. He just knew that Aysel was his and that he was hers.
Korin pointed at the green girl. "Green's pretty too...." he added quietly.

Feejhu blushed and smiled shyly at him. Dia giggled a bit at that.
The baby looked at them a few times and nodded. "ooooooooh. partner. like mommy and daddy." she said with a nod and a huge dragony smile. Poor baby didn't really get it at all.
"Yeah you may want a fang. They're already house trained and are perfectly loyal pets. I can shwo you them if you like."

Well, at least the classes were settled "Korin?" Tara asked, twisting to look at her son.
The godling looked up, tuning into the adults conversation suddenly. Clamping quiet he nodded, though he wasn't quite sure what exactly he was nodding about.
"No. Yes... Maybe... Mine." Pala finally settled on the last one in some confusion. Were they like a Mommy and Daddy? And what was a Daddy anyway?
Aysel perked up at her brother's statement. "Yeah, Green's the best color to be," she added in. No she wasn't baised. Not one bit.
