This is a thread that I am going to tell you what MP3s to download, what CDs to buy, and what vinyl to steal from your parents or pull from your attic.
Reccomendations:
Murs and Slug (Particularly Felt 2: A Tribute To Lisa Bonet):
Murs and Slug are both well respected underground emcees, Murs known for his incredible solo work, and Slug known for his work with the producer Ant in Atmosphere.
Together they form an all star duo with lyrics that are oddly sexually charged, but definitely talk about some serious issues. They have a song called "The Biggest Lie" which is probably the most aware song ever written and can be applied to a lot of situation. They're an amazing group.
Swear To God:
This is some of the most brutal hardcore around. The lyrics are great sing alongs that anybody who has ever disliked anybody, and wanted to embarass or beat them up in a public situation, can relate to.
Seriously, when you are looking at a a 2 minute and 30 second song with like 5 breakdowns in it, this is something you have to hear to believe.
