Chloe entered the small cave, blinking slightly to adjust her vision to the much darker interior. She glanced about, finding a small, barely worn path leading deeper into the cavern. She smiled slightly to herself. It might take a bit for her to locate the Gible, but to the dragon-lover, it would be very much worth it.
Chloe decided to call out Entreri for company. He was small enough so that he could walk alongside her as the two traveled deeper into the cavern.

As the two ventured deeper into the cave, Chloe kept a lookout for any signs of Pokemon. She was in particular seeking any Gible tracks, not that she knew what they looked like. But according to her Pokedex, the other Pokemon that lived in this cave were Zubat and Bronzor, and they didn't leave footprints.
So Chloe was pretty much safe to assume that any tracks she found belonged to the dragon she was seeking.

Entreri for the most part remained a silent companion. Scurrying off every once in a while to investigate something, but he'd return a short while later with no news of seeing any Gible. Chloe assumed they'd be in deeper in the cave, so as the two found a slope that led downwards into the darkness, they took it, Entreri taking up the lead as Chloe followed, flashlight leading her footsteps.

As Chloe continued deeper, the path widened out. Enough for her to call out a few more members of her party for company. She left Daimon in his Pokeball again. She silently promised herself that the first place she found with water, she'd let the Kingdra out for a bit of exercise. She knew the dragon could easily come along with them, even if there wasn't any water. The Kingdra had proven that while they had been searching for Saku.
But Chloe knew the water dragon was most comfortable in the water, so she decided to call out Saku, along with Cael, as the group continued deeper into the cave.

Chloe enjoyed being in the cave, even if it was a bit creepy. It was cool to see a place that so few humans traversed. Likewise, she was sure to make sure that she didn't mess anything up while she was exploring the cave. The whole leave nothing but footprints routine.
Cael took up the rear, while Saku waddled ahead, as Entreri perched on Chloe's shoulder. They could hear a slight shuffling ahead, that indicated that they were nearing a Pokemon. Chloe smiled faintly, crossing her fingers mentally, as they went in for the pursuit.

Chloe motioned to Entreri, who nodded, leaping easily from her shoulder as he chased after whatever it was in the cave in front of them. The Weavile dashed through the darkened corridors easily, despite not having any light. The dark type could easily traverse the caves this way, using his keen senses to detect any subtle changes in the area around him.
The Weavile herded the Pokemon back towards Chloe, as Chloe readied herself for a battle.

Chloe wasn't that startled to find a Zubat was the Pokemon Entreri had been herding towards her. She had heard the faint sound of flapping wings, which told her that it wasn't a Gible. And Zubat were really common.
"Ah well, thanks anyway, 'Treri," Chloe smiled.
"Ready for a battle?" she inquired. The Weavile only grinned.

The Zubat retaliated with a Wing Attack, dashing at Entreri, wings flailing wildly. Entreri duked to avoid the blow, however, the Zubat came around again, striking at the Weavile.

"Okay, now finish it off, use Faint Attack," Chloe instructed her partner. Entreri nodded, vanishing from view as he melded with the shadows. A moment later he struck out at the Zubat from behind, landing a blow that effectively ended the match.

"That was awesome," Chloe grinned with a nod to the Weavile, who smirked, hopping back to Chloe's shoulder as the group travelled a bit deeper into the caves.
"If nothing else, this will also give us a chance to train a bit," Chloe confirmed happily. She had been needing to find a good place to train, since she definitely wasn't confident that her party could take on Lance yet. For the time being that training had been confined to gyms, but here was a good a place as any to get a little bit of extra practice in.

Chloe ventured even deeper into the cave, as the Zubat Entreri defeated fluttered off in a huff. Entreri kept a watchful eye on the bat until it was out of view. Just in case.
Chloe hummed to herself quietly, so that the echo wasn't that loud in the small cave. Eventually, the pathway narrowed again, so she had to recall Cael. Saku and Entreri kept with her for company, as she shone her flashlight in the darkness, seeking the dragon she was hoping to catch.

"So after we catch this Gible, we can meet back up with the others," Chloe smiled. She had decided that she would take on the Canalave gym if Kaya was still at Iron Mountain by the time she returned. That would give her enough time to take on the gym, before the group met back up to travel to Snowpoint.
Entreri nodded, the plan made sense.
Chloe was starting to hear another slight shuffling around her. Knowing that it was a Pokemon, she motioned Entreri ahead to check it out.
"Let's just hope its a Gible," she smiled to herself, following after the Weavile as he dove through the corridors.

Entreri wove through the caverns, seeking the source of the sound Chloe had heard. The agile Weavile leaped from rock formation to the ground, skittering across the dirt floor of the cave quietly, locating the direction the Pokemon had come from. Finally locating the correct path at a split in the corridors, Entreri dove down the left pathway, as Chloe followed, not able to keep up with the Weavile. Entreri slowed every now and again, allowing Chloe to catch up, as they traveled deeper into the caves.
