"Pinky up!" The small girl demanded with a hint of sweetness seeping from every word. Elisa may look cute and sweet, but Ivan knew otherwise. She was the Devil. She used her sweetness to get what she wanted and generally wipe misfortune on him. He could help but think that his sister, Evie, put her daughter up to this...

"Oy..." Ivan groaned uncomfortably. "It's up...It's up..." Today, Ivan was forced to play tea party with the dear Elisa. What joy...Ivan would have gladly objected, but the child got this evil blackmail-ish look on her face. She had too much on the poor bloke.

They had settled their tea party in the garden. It was such a lovely place that a tea party was just needed here. It was also way too sunny to pass up on such a delightful activity.

At the small table sat Elisa with numerous stuffed animals, but also the two adult twins, one looking perturbed while the other was enjoying her time. Perhaps she, too, was enjoying Ivan's torture. The tables were turned on him.

"More tea, Elisa?" Evie cooed as she picked up the small silver teapot.

With a simple nod of her head, Elisa lifted her tiny teacup. Her pinky, of course was out. It was the lady-like thing to do.

"Osha?" Oh for god's sake, why did he fall asleep? Or perhaps a better question, why did he stay up so late? No more scary, late night horror movies. Zack trotted through the garden, glancing around wildly for the redhead. "Osha?" he hollered again, pausing to pull his headphones off, straining to hear anything. "Osh- WOAH!" Zack hit the ground with a loud thud, sprawled and dazed, a vine tangled around his foot.

"Zack okay?" He glanced up at the familiar voice. "Drop these," the toddler noted, handing the headphones to his guardian.

Zack blinked, taking the headphones gratefully as he pulled his legs up under him. He sat on the ground, brushing the dirt from his clothing as he eyed Osha. "Where've you been kiddo? I've been lookin' everywhere for you?"

Osha shrugged. "Sleep." Zack cringed. He really hadn't meant to fall asleep, but it was so nice and shady and the air was so warm and he was just so tired he couldn't help it.

Zack stood and ruffled the soul's red hair. "Okay. I'm sorry about that. Why don't we go back to the appartment and have a treat, ja?" he asked, putting his headphones back on.

Osha gave his guardian a wary look? "Zack cook?" Things went horribly wrong when Zack was in the kitchen. He could hardly make cereal right! He had to teach his new daddy how!

Zack chuckled. "No. I won't cook." He took Osha's hand and started to walk down the path in the direction he came...or thought he came. The black-haired man frowned as they continued to meander. Oh no. He paused as they came across what appeared to be a tea party. Osha peered around Zack's leg as his guardian spoke. "Umm...hi there! You...know where we are?" he asked, feeling pretty stupid.

Peering around the blockade of stuff animals, a small frown formed on the lips of Elisa as she noticed Zack and Osha. Who were these people that interrupted her tea party? It was very rude! Very rude, indeed! The proper thing to do would be to announce yourself cordially and wait for a response. Not simply barge in and demand things! How uncivilized!

Though, her guardian, well guardians if Elisa were to count Ivan as anything, didn't share her distaste. No. They were pleasant and accepted these barbarians with open arms.

" 'ow do," Ivan said simply with a salute. This interruption was definitely a plus for him. It was a pause in this stupid tea party. Thank you, lost saviors!

"I believe they call this place 'The Gardens' or something..." Evie replied thinking things through. She, herself, was still trying to get used to the Compound and frequently got lost herself. Was this place the Gardens? Maybe she was delusional? Probably.

Continuing to think about it, Evie finally gave up. "Bugger this..." She muttered out loud before directing her attention at Zack and Osha. "Are you new to the Compound as well?"

Well, the little child look leased than pleased with Zack's random appearance, but the black-haired man failed to notice. He was too busy watching the pair of adults, trying to read their lips and get himself and his boy out of here. Damn. The Gardens had trapped them too? The guardian couldn't help but smile, chuckling a little to himself. Maybe he should have paid closer attention when Dacian was showing him around this crazy place. He nodded in response to the question. "Well, I am," he replied after a short pause. "I'm Osha's new guardian, Zackary. But you can call me Zack," he said, grinning. He couldn't help but feel a little proud of himself saying that. He ruffled the child's red hair.

Osha remained silent, watching the other three people from the safety of Zack's leg. What were they doing with all those toys? He frowned thoughtfully. Where those cups? Why were their pinkies out in the air like that? After some deliberation, the boy decided to speak. "Hi," he said, clearly speaking to the girl. "I'm Osha. Who're you?"

Osha's new guardian, eh? Evie never met Osha's first guardian, so either way, both of them were new to her. Apparently Osha was in the same situation as Elisa. They both had previous guardians who left. Not like Evie looked down on them. She just hoped that she wouldn't do the same since it wouldn't be fair for the child. Child care is a big responsibility, and Evie just hoped that she was doing a fine enough job...even with Ivan constantly looming around their apartment.

Standing up to be more cordial, Evie walked over to the two and smiled. "Well, you're both new to me." Before continuing on, Evie fiddled with her skirt before wiping her hand on it to extend it out politely. "I'm Evie, Elisa's guardian...well...new one as well."

"And I'm Ivan, chaps," Came the gruff voice of Ivan who still sat seated at table.

Elisa, at this time, excused herself to the stuffed animals and made her way over to Osha. It was the lady-like thing to greet those who greeted you, even if they did barge in on one's tea party.

"Elisa." The small girl replied with a curtsy.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 03, 2007 5:58 pm

Zack smiled as the woman stood up and walked over, offering her hand in a greeting. Well! This was certainly going much more pleasantly than his meeting with Gavin's guardian. What was her name? Patricia? Yes. She didn't even let him in the door. All spiders and storm clouds and dead bugs and what not. And she seemed to have a serious issue with his headphones. No one had issues with his music.

Snapping out of his little thought bubble, Zack took the woman's hand, smiling and nodding as she introduced herself. He, however, failed to hear the man speak with his music on. Since he was concentrating on Evie, figuring out what she was saying and all, he didn't even realize he was speaking. So when he released Evie's hand, he looked up and nodded in his general direction. "He your boyfriend?" It would make good sense, that.

Osha blinked as the girl gave him a small curtsy. ...what? What was she doing that for? He wasn't part of her party. And what was he supposed to do now? No one ever taught him what to do when a girl curtsied at him! He glanced up at his guardian, but Zack was too busy talking to Elisa's mom to notice his plight. He sighed to himself and glanced back at the girl. "Nice to meet you," he finally muttered. It was the most polite thing he could think of! He could only hope that was a right thing to say.

Choking back a laugh, or possibly even throw up, Evie could feel her body hunch and cringe in disgust. Ivan...her boyfriend? Now that was funny and just...revolting at the same time. Ivan...and her...Even neglecting the fact that he was her brother, Ivan was just...grotesque. Sure, his hygiene has improved slightly, but he was just disgusting. The thought of him just made her skin crawl.

She did love him though, as much as a sister could love Ivan and remain sane...

After a few moments, Evie finally regained her composure. This Zack didn't know, so she could hold him accountable. He was new. She didn't go around the compound much. Maybe others thought Ivan was her lover as well...

Please...No...

"Bollocks, no!" Evie finally managed to say with a disgusted laugh. "He's my twin, unfortunately..."

Elisa grinned and nodded at the boy. He sure was colorful, and his color were very pretty. Pretty colors...Pretty colorful hair.

"Pweasure all mine. Osha pretty." It was true, and Elisa liked pretty things.

Zack watched Evie curiously, glancing at the man before the cringing woman. He blinked, brushing black hair away from green eyes. ...what had he said? It was a logical question. Killian had always dragged Seamus out for silly things like picnics in the park. He would know. He'd been dragged out on more than one occassion. And while he didn't mind their company or the food (Zack never passed up free food), he couldn't say that sort of thing was his cup of tea. Apparntly, it wasn't fitting for the woman's brother either. His lips quirked into a smile. "I see," he replied, looking back at Evie. He then realized Osha was no longer clinging to him and glanced down.

The girl grinned and Osha couldn't help but smile back. It would seem his response was an appropriate one. Excellent. He blinked at Elisa's next words and couldn't help but blush a little. "Thanks," he mumbled happily, looking down at his feet for a moment. He always thought he was very pretty too. He liked his colors. The redhead glanced back up at the girl. "Wanna play wit' me?" the six-year-old asked.

Zack smiled as he watched the kids. How cute. He looked back up at the girl's guardian. "Would you mind if we stuck around for a while?

With a simple nod of the head, Elisa happily agreed to play with the Pretty. "Yes! We pway!" She exclaimed as she clapped her hands happily together. But what to play? Would Osha like to join the tea party? Maybe. Ivan would be there though, and he wasn't pretty like Osha. It was a pretty only play time. Yes. Pretties only, and Osha was very pretty. Pretty colors...

What to play? What to play... "What we play?" Elisa finally voiced out loud as she brought a pudgy finger to her lips. This was a tough decision and a lot of thinking was required.

Watching the two children as well, Evie couldn't help but feel a smile play across her lips. Adorable. "I don't mind at all," Evie replied. "Please join us...um...here." She continued as she pointed off towards a blanket laid across the grass. It would be awkward for the adults to continue to sit at the small tea party table if there were no children sitting with them...

Unaware he had been dubbed 'the Pretty', Osha watched his fellow soul curiously. He shrugged as she inquired to what he wanted to play. He loved painting, but he didn't bring any of his paints. Or his crayons. Or his markers. Hmm. He liked his Easy-Bake too, but that was at home. He shrugged again and chewed on his lower lip. What was a fun game when there weren't any toys? "...umm...you wanna play hide and seek?" That was a pretty fun game, and outside was a great place for fiding good hiding spots.

Zack made sure Evie was finished speaking before he followed her finger to the specified spot. Wow. If that didn't bring back memories, he didn't know what did. It was better then sitting with some stuffed animals, though. He wandered over the place and flopped down happily. "Great day to be outside," he observed. He wasn't going to fall asleep this time, though. No sir.

Now that was a fine idea, and Elisa beamed with excitement. "Yes! Yes! Hide an' seek!" This Pretty was pretty and smart. He definitely knew how to have a fun time. She remembered the last time she played it with Ivan. Oh the fun that ensued...Ivan got in so much trouble for it with Evie. What joy.

Although, what was even greater was the numerous amounts of places they could hide. Being small did have its advantages. You could get into almost anything, and Elisa knew that from first hand experience.

Poor Ivan...

"You count?"

Following Zack to the spot, Evie and Ivan sat down beside the other guardian. Evie nestled herself gracefully down while Ivan just kind of threw himself down. It was, indeed, a nice day. The sun was shining, and the birds were chirping. The scenery in the garden made it even grander. Flowers and vegetation everywhere. It was so...pretty. Perhaps this was the reason why Elisa liked this place the best in the Compound.

"Indeed, it is," Evie said as she gazed around. She kept an eye on the children and couldn’t help but smile. "They are so cute."

Ivan simply nodded his, now buzzed, head, but he couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable. Elisa was cute, but she was evil...to him at least. She was always plotting against him, but maybe it just showed she really liked him? Maybe? ...Hopefully?

Osha practically purred with glee as the other soul accepted his idea happily. Excellent. "You go hide first," he said, nodding. He needed time to think of a good hiding spot, and maybe he'd find one while he was trying to uncover Evie. Hide and seek was a thinking man's game, you see. He had to be tricky about it if he wanted to do well. She was smaller and could find more places. His spot must conceal him well, and that was especially hard, being so colorful in fields of green.

When Zack fell ungracefully on the blanket, his headphones had bounced off his head. He was about to pull them back on when the woman spoke. He paused, headphones in hand. Huh. He couldn't remember the last time he actually heard someone speak to him...except a littlw while ago, when he splatted on the ground and Osha was inquiring after his well-being. He realized that was the first time he'd ever heard the boy speak. He should really listen to the soul more, he decided, sitting back up. "Wonder why his old guardian left him behind..." Zack murmured to no one in particular. He glanced over at the the twins. "...so...do you guys take care of her together?" It would explain the living together thing, right?

Nodding her head, Elisa gazed around the garden. Now where would she hide? There were endless possibilities, but there was also a lot of wide open spaces. Perhaps she could hide in the adjacent forest, but who knows what was in there? It was frightening and mysterious at the same time. Perhaps, Elisa would uncover the little mystery she presented herself with.

"Okay!" The small girl chirped. "Cover your eyes and count to a million!"

Evie had to think about this question for a bit. Did Ivan take care of Elisa? Sure, he's been there most of the time that Evie's been Elisa's guardian, and he's also watched her when Evie was at class. Did he really take care of her though...? Not really...He was always letting her get into things or just not watching her. What type of guardian was that? Not a very good one. Ivan was here though...and he kept life interesting.

Perhaps, they did care for Elisa together...

"Ah. I'm jus' crashin' 'ere until I get me own place." Ivan said, crashing Evie's newly found revelation. Sure, Evie knew that Ivan was a leech and when there was nothing left to suck, he'd be on his merry way. It was just hard to hear it?

"I should be leavin' in no time..." This hit Evie even harder. Ivan was leaving soon? She felt a mixture of euphoria and grief at the same time.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 06, 2007 3:35 pm

A million? The child's eyes widened a bit. Oh my. A million was a very, very large number. Osha nodded anyways, slowly turning his back to the girl and putting his hands over his eyes. "One, two, three..." he started. Was he really suppoed to count all the way to a million? It would be night time before he got there! In fact he wasn't really sure what came after twenty-five....twenty-five was pretty close to a million, after all. ...so did that mean Zack was almost a million years old? Osha scrunched his nose. He'd have to investigate that later.

"...twenty three, twenty four, and twenty five. Ready or not, here I come!"

Zack left his headphones off for a moment. He could probably go about ten, fifteen minutes if he was lucky, without them. He wanted to relax for a moment. He couldn't relax if he had to watch lips so he could decipher his new aquintances. "Well, that's a shame," he said, nodding. Speaking from experience, he knew how hard it sucked when a room mate moved out. "You moving out for big n' better things?"

Giggling gleefully, Elisa skipped about in the direction of the adjacent forests, but she didn't realize how dirty it was until she got there. Yes. It was very dirty, and Elisa didn't take kindly to dirty places. It was unfortunate that she would leave this place since she heard Osha finish his counting.

A million all ready? That sure did go fast...No matter. She would be forced to hide here, even if she didn’t want to.

Gazing and going deeper into the forest, Elisa couldn't help but cringe and shiver at the filth but also the lack of light the trees were admitting. It was scary. Dirty and scary. Why did she decide to hide in here?

Shuffling her feet on the leaf-covered ground, Elisa found a toppled over tree with a hallowed out center. This place...would have to do.

Ivan sprawled out on the blanket, so he could lie on his back. In the process, he accidentally kicked Evie on the side, at which caused a frown to etch its way on her features.

"Eh...Dunno," Ivan said casually. "Just need to find meself a job. Then a place. Yea...I'll be gone in no time..."

Evie couldn't help but snort a laugh. Oh yea. In no time. Here, Evie thought Ivan already had this thing planned out and settled, and that he was actually leaving soon. No...he was going to be around for awhile...
