Shiro stretched slightly, finally getting up off of his knees, leaning down and rubbing them lightly. He'd been kneeling down for a bout twenty minutes putting awat the glasses from th eglass washer, the bar had been busy today, it was a firday night after all and the early rush had justy passed.
People had left now for the most part and moved on to the clubs in the area. There were still a few customers around, just sitting off in the booths, but the other staff were dealingwith them while he tidied up after the messy shift. He only had another hour or so on tonight, so he didnt mind too much, it wasnt like he was on clean up all the time or anything.
He was twenty two years old, and he'd been working here for just over a year now.
It wasnt the greatest job, but he enjoyed it enough and he'd even managed to make a couple of friends along the way, which was always a plus.
He wasnt the most extrovert of people, he was half Japanese, half either english, and not as tall as he would have liked to be, only around 5ft10. Not shorty, but he would have liked to have been taller, he felt it would have suited his personality more, as he hated, absoloutely despised people thinking he was sweet, it just was not in his nature.
"Shi, you okay down there..?" he fliked his eyes up to the other end of the bar,
"Yeah Tai, I'm fine, glasses are all away now." he grinned.
"You can go off on your break." The other man sot him a thumbs up and mooched back to the staff room, Shiro was one of the duty managers, and the man in charge of this shift.

Kazuki walked into the bar wondering if Shiro was working today. His long black hair fell over his shoulder with spot of it placed up to give off that edgy look. His creepy slitted green eyes glanced around the place as if he was out to kill someone and they gave off a faint glow. He nibbled on the side of his lip that held a piercing as he tried to see if there was anyone he knew in there though he doubted it. Moving in a bit more, a stream of sunlight hit his body from a bearby window and it made him look away a bit. He didn't like sunlight since he found it utterly annoying, but it was nice and warm. That he didn't mind at all.
Moving further in, he continued to eye around the play with his interesting eyes. He didn't have many friends to begin with ether then Shiro and maybe a few people at his work, but that was a maybe. It might of been his six foot tall creepy aura he gave off or his cold personality. He didn't really see nothing wrong with any of it since it was how he was since his lover died a year ago. He still never fully got over the horrible rape and murder of his college lover. No one understood why he acted the way he did, but it was only because they didn't know what happened to him in the past. Regretting that he wasn't with Miku that day and why it wasn't him instead. It was a painful process that he has to live with each day he wakes up and it something that he still doubts he will ever get over.
As he continued on into the bar more, he noticed Shiro doing his daily things and wondered if it was alright to speak with him right now. He never really cared about other people's time, so why should her now right? Walking over to the bar counter, he looked to Shiro as he took a seat on one of the stools. "Hello Shiro. It's been awhile." He said to him in a slightly monotone voice. "Have you been up to much lately?" He asked as his pale hands gently rested on the counter of the bar.

Shiro looked up, having been slightly surprised at the sudden voice, he'd wondered for a moment how somone had managed to come over to him without him noticeing, but then, as he realised who it was it seeed less of a shock, he always seemed to over look the slightly brooding man arriving until he was spoken to, maybe it was just him failing to be ovservant, that was probably it, or possibly just somthing about his slightly odd friend, somthing like the slightly strange slited eyes..
Regardless of the slightly strange things about Kazuki, he liked the other young man, he'd met him at the bar, oh, a fair while ago now and it had teken a fair amount of time for them to actually get to know eachother.
"Hey!" he stated with a smile, his voice happy for a moment, a smile on his face before it slipped back to his usual fairly neutral caste,
"I've just been working, thinking about re-applying to the design course.. but I dont know, if not I'll take the exam here, you know.. that way if I wanted to I could open my own bar.." he shrugged.
"Its good enough working here for now though.
"How have things been for you here..?"

Kazuki looked to Shiro with a vacant expression still present on his face. His slitted eyes scanned the male a bit before looking down at his hands again. His half-demonic blood was the cause of his funny shaped eyes, but he usually told others that they were contacts so that he wouldn't frightened them away. The other half of him was Japanese, but could speak fluent english since with his job being a business executive he needed to know many languages. "It's up to you really. Opening your own bar would be nice, but would it be something you would want to do for your whole life?" He asked the male curiously as he brought his hands off the counter and to his chin. He rested his head on them and wondered if he wanted something to drink. "Yeah I suppose." He told told the male before thinking of how things have been for him recently. He still never told Shiro about the misfortune of his lover and wouldn't unless he was drunk, which wasn't very likely.
"Eh alright I guess. Nothing much really for me other then working hard." He told Shiro with a shrug since he really hadn't been up to much lately. "I was thinking of maybe taking a vacation of my job for awhile since I kind of need it." He said lightly as he let his hands fall onto the counter again.

Shiro nodded.
"Well, as long as you're okay.. Can I get you anything..?" he gestured at the bar, smilng slightly at his friend again.
"A Vacation huh? Well, a break is always good.. and as for owning a bar.. well, If I cant think of anything else, maybe I will.." he'd been a dissappointment to his family for the most part, he'd flucked at college and well, since then he'd not really tried so much..
And they had more or less lost any faith they had had in him.
He stretched slightly, brushing his fingers throug his har once, tugging the black shirt strighter on his body, toying with the till card that was hooked on his belt.
"Its good to see you again mate, I was beginning to think that you'd vanished on me or somthing.." he smiled.
"I finish early tonight, well, early.. ten rather than two, so early for me.. we can go out somwhere if you like..? Or stay here or somwhere.." he shrugged slightly, he haddnt spent much time Kazuki recently, so it would be good to get to know him again... His mind however flicked back to the odd orb that was currently residing in his coat pocket.. that might be an issuse however...

Kazuki continued to look at Shiro and realized that he didn't want anything to drink right now. "No thank you. I am afraid I will drink too much and end up passing out or something." He told him since he had been having a bit of trouble lately with stress related things. "Yeah though my work will get backed up and I can't have that." He told him simply as he now got rid of the idea of ever taking a break from his demanding job. "I see. If you do, don't forget to let me know since I would stop by there whenever I could." He told him as his green slitted eyes fell onto the bar counter a bit sadly as he thought of different things. "No I haven't vanished yet, but at the rate my company is going I might have to relocate myself somewhere else." He told Shiro though his job was still doing very well, he just might need to be sent elsewhere for a bit of time.
Thinking for a moment, he didn't know where the two of them could go after this. Maybe to the park or something? That was a maybe though since it was still light out. "Sure that sounds fine. Do you know of any place we can go?" He asked the male and if it was somewhere with a lot of sun, he would endure it since he didn't want to risk telling Shiro that he was half-demon. Either way he had to watch out for his orb that he had in his pocket right now.

Shiro rested his hand on his chin for a moment, and looked thoughtfully at his friend.
"Well, I live just a couple of streets down y'know, we could always just go back there for a bit.." Helooked down again
"I'll be sad to see you go if you do, You're fun to hang out with.." The didnt do so enough in his opinion, Kazuki was a strange friend, but he was one he liked, he didnt feel that he had to be anything other than himself around the other man.
There was always a weird niggling sensation though, that there was somthing about Kazuki that he just didnt know.. but he had never been nosy enough to ask.
Shiro was a very normal person, a very normal person with an odd past, but that was his secret.. he didnt tell any one..
He wasnt proud of it at all..
Who would be though? Who would be proud of breaking somones heart?
Three years before he'd been in a car accident, and a knock to the head had left him in a coma for three months. He'd come round, but there had been a problem, his brain had taken a knock and the part of it that controlled his memory have been damanged. There were signs that it was replairing itself, but that wasnt entirely certain.
During that time, the time where they had been missing, a span of about a year and a half he had gotten close to somone, another young man by the name of Koji, they had been very close in fact, lovers as far as it went, and Koji had helped him adjust to a world where he was almost an alien, but things took a bad turn, when the memories came back, which they did in full, the 18months he had been through before were blotted out as if they never happened.
Amd he completely forgot who Koji was...
They had tried to work thins out.. but it had been too hard, the memories that Koji still had were missing for Shiro, so in the end they just seperated..

Kazuki got up off the stool and fixed his coat for a moment. "That is fine." He simply as he put his hands in his pocket not sure what else to say to the male. "Fun? Hmm no one ever told me that before." He said to the male and was lieing about it as he walked over to the door remembering a bit of his time with Miku. It made his heart tighten at the very thought of how the fun-loving boy use to say he was great to be around, always so understandable, a good listener, and an all around good person. Was any of that person even left in his body anymore? When he found out about Miku death, he locked himself in his room for days and wouldn't let anyone even speak to him. It was like a part of him died that day and would never be able to come back. What made it worse was that he had to go see the body for himself and make sure it was Miku and it only made him feel more pain then he needed to. It was his fault thougth and he knew it. Oddly he never sought revenge on the person or persons who killed the college boy since it wouldn't bring his love back at all.
Shuutting his eyes, he stood there at the front door of the bar waiting for Shiro to join him as he tried his best to push the thoughts from his mind. He wanted him back badly, but there was nothing he could do to get him back. It was out of his reach and he hated it so much. "You lead me." He told the male as his green slitted eyes opened again and fell on Shiro.

Shiro held a finger up to signify to Kazuki to wait for a moment, and stepped aorund the bar to clear getting off a little earlier still with one of the other workers.
Once that was cleared he dissappeared into the back room to get his things, including the coat that held his orb.
It trilled softly at him as he put it on, and with a slightly smile he slipped his hand into the pocked and felt his shiver slightly as he slipped his fingers around it, it was smooth, but it felt quite warm.
Once again he had gotten that feeling that somthing was odd with his friend, somthing that he couldnt quite put a finger on, but that was how it went with Kazuki, he didnt really know him all that well at all.. but he still liked him enough.
He didnt however, know him well enough to tell him about Koji.. that secret still ate away at his heart..
It had made him far to afraid to ever open up to anyone like that again.. he couldnt bare the idea of falling in love..
It was n't100% certain that he'd never have a relapse... what if he did fall in love, and then lost his memories agian..? And only remembered the 18months he had with Koji.. it would be awful..
He couldnt risk that happening..
he sighed slightly as his fingers curled around the orb slightly more and he stepped out of the staffroom, his usual guarded expression on his face.
"This way." he said quietly, nodding to Kazuki and stepping out of the bar, leading the way down towards his home.

Kazuki followed after Shiro without anything showing on his face. "Sorry if I seem a bit out of it every now and then. My thoughts get to me." He told Shiro since he was out of it a moment ago. He wasn't even in this reality and was playing memories back in his mind of his time with Miku. His hand lightly cupped the orb in his pocket and still was curious to know if the little shiney thing would change since it glowed a few times to him. "Hey I have been meaning to ask you this..." He stopped talking for a moment as he looked around a bit not sure if it was safe to even ask. "Did you get something weird recently?" He asked the male curiously as his fingers rub along the orb in a nurturing fashion. His eyes shut a bit as he continued to follow the male only making judgements of where he was by the wind sweeping past him and noises around in the area. "If not then it's fine as well. Maybe I am just paranoid or something." He said to Shiro as he flushed his mind clear of any bad thoughts of his past.

Shiro nearly fell over, he was that surprised..
How did Kazuki know?!
He had stopped dead as the question was asked and now found himself staring after his friends retreating back..
"Ka- Kazuki..?" he scampered after him, having to jog to to catch up..
"Something weird..? What do you mean somthing weird..?" His anxiety over this showed in his voice, had Kazuki seen the orb somhow..? Was he.. Shiro didnt really know.. he had been so intent on keeping this a secret since it had shown up that having it discovered somehow made him feel really uneasy..
His fingers tightened around the orb a little more as he fell into place next to Kazuki again and looked up at him, cursing in his mind, not for the first time that his friend was taller than him.
He wanted to be taller...

Kazuki blinked a bit when his friend was with him at one point and then joined his side again. He didn't know if it was the best thing to ask his friend, but he couldn't take it back now. "Umm nothing I just found something odd the other day thats all and I was wondering if you got anything like it as well." He told Shiro and knew he shouldn't of brung it up, but it was eating at him on the inside. "It's probably nothing, so just forget it." He told the male as he continued to walk down the street. His hand still cupping the orb that was in his pocket wondering if it would be harmed if Shiro knew. "It's just that I have this thing in my pocket.." He said lightly as he pulled it out to reveal a pretty black orb with a white moon crest in the middle of it. "I have no clue what it is." He said sadly since he liked to know everything and this was something he didn't have the slightest clue about.

Shiro blinked down at the orb in his friends hand with a slightly stupified expression on his face..
"You have one too.." he said quietly, very carefully lifting the orb he had in his pocket out, the dark orb with a night sky effect on it..
"This showed up in my flat about afew ago.." he said quietly..
"I didnt know what to do so I've just carried it with me.. but.. I dunno, it keeps rolling away from me and it squeaks so much somtimes.. but.. It seems to be quiet when I need it to be.." he smiled slightly..
"It turned up.. when.." He fell quiet, deciding that he didnt want to go into that...
He'd spend the night before it had shown up crying, among other things.. some things he knew were fairly silly because of the memories that still tugged at him and the e-mail he had gotten from Koji.. he'd been so sad and lonely and he'd fallen asleep wishing above everythign for somone he could get close to again.. someone he could actually love...
And then this had been there.. it was a weird occurance.

Kazuki looked at Shiro's orb with slight fascination since he was happy to meet someone else who shared the same thing as him right now. "My I found on the street and took it home. I at first thought it was a rare type of valuable jewel or something. I was about to sell it honestly." He stated with a slight shrug knowing it was the truth. "Really? All mine does is glow every now and then when I speak to it, but that isn't always. I think there might be something else to these things then we really know." He told Shiro as he kept his emotionless expression. "Hmm you don't have to tell me when if turned up. I can tell that it's bringing you pain just thinking about it." He told the male since he went quiet after saying a few words. He didn't mind not knowing since he didn't know if he would ever tell Shiro about him and his dead lover Miku. It still tugged at his heart and was something he couldn't let go.

"Thats the thing.." Shiro said quietly..
"Its somthing awful I did.. that I've never told anyone.." he shook his head, letting his fingers brush over the seemingly star filled orb..
"I asked for somthing.. and then I was given this.. its wonderfull.. a miricle almost.. though not in the religious sense.." He smiled slightly and looked up at Kazuki.
"I dont to worry you with all my issues though.. thats what the shrink's for right?" He lifted a hand and adjusted the hat he had on his head with it as he held the orb carefully in the other one... it trilled very slightly unders his friends scrutiny..
"It seems to know you're there.." he said quietly, bringing his other hand down and tapping one nail very gently on the glassy exterior of the small stone.
"I have a feeling its a good thing that you didnt sell it.. I dont know what it is.. but I think we're probably not meant to get rid of them." he smiledslightly, trying desperately to get his mind away from the subject of Koji... it would never stop hurting him.. the knowledge that he had hurt somone so badly...
"I only got it a week or so ago.. maybe a little less.." He shrugged very slightly.. trying to keep the pain from coming back too strongluy.. breaking down in front of Kazuki was... well... unthinkable to be honest. Kazuki.. he just didnt want to appear weak in front of him for some reason.
