so, first episode of the new series aired this evening, i thought it was great!
i really like the new assistant, she's brighter than Rose, not hard i know..the whole thing was fast paced and a lot of fun.
Tennant still has great exuberance for the role and i'm really looking forward to the rest of the series, which is bound to be woefully short neutral
i shall talk further about what i liked and so on, once Eirwyn says if i can! If she's going to get to see these shows some time hence i don't want to spoil them for her if she'd rather i didn't mrgreen

If I decide I don't want an episode spoiled, I just won't come in this thread!
Most everyone at the DW Guild seems to like Martha a lot. Roobarb is irked that Martha sounds like Rose--as in has much the same accent rather than from some other part of the UK.

Martha is another londoner it's true, maybe they should have had someone with a more refined accent such as myself cool
i think the Doctor's assistant would be a good career change for me!
The only thing that was a little daft in this episode was the fact that the hospital, once deposited on the moon, still had an electricity supply! oh and that the evil alien old lady could piece someone's neck with a blunt drinking straw and leave no wound lol
i suppose, because of the time it's on, they can't get too enthusiastic with gory effects.

Maybe that is supposed to explain it (though I'd think the power levels would be lowered a lot).

Drat! I was up til 3am trying to get all of the parts! I was working on part 5 (of 6), & had got up to the old lady getting found out as an alien after draining the Doctor--& it quit loading because YouTube took it down! gonk
There seem to be others posting it...I'll try at the Library tomorrow if I can. They have fast internet.
I like Martha! biggrin

i saw on runaway bride on youtube, i might watch that today as i didn't get to see it at Christmas.
i've never looked for tv shows on there before, but i may have found something to amuse myself now! xd

That's a good idea... I missed the Christmas show, too. I hadn't thought of looking for it on YouTube.
I liked the first episode of the new series, like the new companion, good script, good gags, fast-paced, funky new aliens... let's hope it keeps up like this! biggrin
