I perfer Christian music that isn't quite as blatant. Like P.O.D. and Thrice.

Wow, thanks for posting all of that!
I think you would like Da TRUTH and FLAME.
I find their lyrics to be more straight forward and easier to understand/listen to as for as hip-hop goes.
But then again, I'm straight out of the 80s. So Hip hop was more poetic back then. Ha.
Canton Jones is pretty good too. He's a mix of R&B (which I don't always like) and more modern pop-ish hip-hop. He's got some good driving sings though. J Moss is pretty sweet too.
I like a lot of different music. That reflects in my ideas of good christian music.
Love rock, good clear metal, real hip-hop, soul, jazz, blues, choral, and contemporary ...to name a few.
To drop some more names not hip-hop or pop-hop
Ty Trabet Michael W Smith Rachmaninoff Bleach Superchic[k] Sinclar Rogers vegaschurchboy Mary Mary Tonex Barlow Girl Nicole C. Mullen ...I could go on and on
EDIT: that was my first time listening to kj 52. It's kinda cute. 3nodding 4laugh

I am SO out of the loop with all of this! I just don't seem to have to time to listen to music lately, although a good friend bought me an MP3 player ..... if I could just figure out how to use it!! sweatdrop
I LOVE Praise and Worship so much!! It transports me right into the throne room, right before my Father. And not the stuff that kind of glorifies the worship team, but the stuff you can close your eyes, begin to worship Him and just lose yourself in His presence.
I have loved Maranatha praise tapes for that, and one of my old churches use to let us borrow the master tapes from the praise and worship ... man, I miss those!!!

Hey ya'll. I'm back, and during my absence I have started enjoying Christian Rock (Contemporary Music) a lot more.
Bands like these steal my interest:

Glad you're back! *gives hugs* I'm only a little familiar with those groups but I forgot one when I posted earlier, I LOVE Pray for Rain (PFR) they have an early Beatles sound and actually, when the remaining Beatles were talking about doing their anthology, someone tossed George Harrison a tape of PFR and they did background for a couple of the songs in the Beatles anthology.

Don't know if it's the same for anyone else but I feel His presence closest with Praise and Worship, even if it's just me on a piano at home. I think it's more about getting your mind and heart off of the normal earthly concerns and just revelling in His presence. Does that help? sweatdrop
