Well there are a few game soundtracks I like... Final Fantasy and Silent Hill soundtracks in particular are my favorites 3nodding
But soundtracks are best listened to directly from the product that they came from.

It depends... some soundtracks can suck.
but the soundtracks for both X and .hack//SIGN are awesome... also Rent. *haha...*

It depends.
Video game soundtracks are usually good.
Anime soundtracks are usually good as well, with the Galerions Rion soundtrack, Gravitation soundtrack, and GunGrave soundtracks standing out for me.
Movie soundtracks aren't always so good, but in my opinion the Freddy vs. Jason soundtrack(as much as the movie sucked), and Saw III sountrack(Europian version) are among the best.

Mizer Manakins It depends... some soundtracks can suck. but the soundtracks for both X and .hack//SIGN are awesome... also Rent. *haha...* aha i love the rent soundtrack

The crow was first time I heard My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, who are now a permanant fixture on my playlists. smile Ohhh I've not heard Ruin, its hard to track down over here. -_-

Hmmm just a quickie as well, but I also have to throw on to the list the Advent Children OST, hearing the Black Mages renditions of songs I only heard in midi 10 years ago is simply orgasmic. Also the EMpire Records OST, the only soundtrack in the world you'll find the Bangles and GWAR on the same disk. smile

Soundrtacks are interesting. When it comes to games, Silent Hill is defenently the best.. Movies.. Depends on the mood I guess. One really good soundtrack is Queen of the Damned (got to love David Draimans (Disturbed) recording of Forsaken), but noghitn beets Lost Boys. Cry Little Sister is a really grate song, got to love it!
