Long ago, before Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic: The Gathering easily claimed the spot of the best selling TCG. When YGO finally made its debut, the battle began. What do you think? Is Magic still the bestseller or has YGO given them a run for the money?

Magic the Gathering, definately. Has the seniority and it has more of a grasp on the adult generation that plays card games.

I agree with you. Magic has long been the best selling card game. It does capture more of an adult group because it is more complicated to play as far as the hundreds of thousands of card combinations that you can play. YGO is meant more for the younger generation. Though, I used to play Magic. I had to quit one though. I couldn't afford to play both. So, Magic got the boot.

well if you think about it. When magic came that's the only card game avabile at that time. Now with YGO game, it targets the younger but also only someone with real experise is able to grasp a stragey to make it work. Magic I think needs a cut down on how many monsters it can be out. I haven't played it recently still have the cards.
I don't know which one will beat the other. They are both in a different league all in their own. My opinon is Magic took over the trading card game while YGO took over anime TCG.
