Aislinn sighed, moving the walker forward slowly as she worked on adjusting to the new changes. Things weren't -much- different...well, except that it was a little easier to get around now that she wasn't sore from the changes anymore. Her back was no longer angled in quite so odd a position, and she could nearly stand up without the walker given a few moments to adjust her balance properly.

Of course, walking without it was still out of the question. Really, she was starting to hate these changes more than she had thought she would at first. The first change she'd seemed to get stronger, and she'd had that brief taste of almost walking without the cane. The past two changes, however, had put her in even worse shape to walk than before.

She walked past the buildings, absently unsure of where it was she was actually going. Just...practicing walking again, she supposed.

Maryke was well aware of where she was going, or rather where she was coming back from. Almost every morning was spent in the trees for her. Granted other times were up in the air, like midday for instance, but for the most part she enjoyed the morning. The time when it all seemed so peaceful and serene. A part of her, the lemur part no doubt, wanted to explore them at night. But fear of Jamal kept her grounded. All the same morning was better then nothing, and she'd take what she could get.

As she was heading back she saw something that caught her hazel eyes. Though she had heard of the horseman of the island and knew there probably was other equinine islanders about she had never actually SEEN them. So she stepped closer for a better look, completely unabashed at the fact that was she was now watching the other amusedly.

Aislinn could sense, via the prey-like instincts even domestic horses had in their genes, that she was being watched. She wasn't too surprised-- there were plenty of islanders she'd not met at all, and some she had only seen and not spoken with. They would undoubtedly be surprised by her appearance.

She turned to look at the other, noting the interesting characteristics that made her quite obviously one of the more advanced (presumably like herself, given she was fairly certain there wasn't much more that could change in her) islanders.

From her experiences at the zoo, she'd probably classify the woman as lemur. That would explain the watching, though-- lemurs did seem to have a curiousity complex almost as bad as a cat's.

"Hello," she said. She was suddenly rather aware of the fact that she'd stopped wearing even a shirt, a bit of a breeze passing by and creating just a few goosebumps on the bare skin.

She hadn't really seen anyone since her transformation and decision, and she was interested to see what the reaction might be.

Maryke was tracing the horse legs to the torso and when the woman turned around she realized this woman was topless, practially naked by most standards. She chuckled outloud at that, thinking only Colche to be one who completely 'gave in' to nature. But the nudity didn't bother her one bit. She was a woman that was used to sunbathing nude with her girlfriends or 'callgirls' as it were. It was just the thing to do in hollywood scene. There was no such thing as bashfulness. She raised her hazels to look up into the girls orbs.

"hey," Maryke responded casually, removing the sunglasses that had been on her head to shield them over her eyes. She only wore them when it was practially hot day because of the funny way they looked over her maw. She was thankful for them no. She was fairly short standing at 5 4, maybe a little taller do to her changes. So looking up to the horse girl made her eyes in direct contact with the now midday sun.

"I promise I wasn't checking you out," she laughed, smirk in place on her snout. "I've never seen a horse around here before, but you don't look new?"

Aislinn grinned. Something about this woman's personality struck a note-- she was just like herself or Shenzi in some ways.

"I didn't think you were," she assured the other, "Seeing a woman walking about nearly half horse is probably enough to make anyone take a second glance or so."

She hadn't realized so much before how much taller this transformation had made her. She'd spent so much of the last one lying about on the couch. Well hey, at least she didn't have to worry about guy friends slinging her over their shoulder anymore. They'd have quite a time trying to get someone her weight up off the ground anyhow.

"I'm not so new, no. Came here a bit before Halloween actually. But my last transformation made it a little tough to get around, so I spent a lot of time in the Duplex."

And she thanked whatever gods existed that the Lab Techs had had the foresight to put her in one of the lower Duplexes. She couldn't even begin to imagine herself trying to get up the stairs in this shape, with or without the walker.

"Seeing anyone around here is enough to make heads turn," she countered with a smug grin. She still prided herself will still being able to make quips or keep good banter going even though she looked like a walking shag carpet.

"Ohhh I see," she said, nodding her head as she craned her neck to look at the horse girl. Though she could crane and twist her neck much more then a normal human because of the lemur within her, it was still a head turn. "I don't get out much either....I don't know that anyone is fully enjoying this. Some days it's 'stay in your duplex depressed' and some days it's find something to keep your mind off this s**t..."

She extended her hand up at the other, "Maryke."

Aislinn held out her hand to accept the one Maryke offered,
"Aislinn. Well, it was also a bit harder to get around last change. My back was at an odd angle, so I spent a lot of time just sitting about on the couch because it was too much work to get up and move about."

She let her hand fall back to her side,
"Though I've done my fair share of staying inside to mope as well."

"Everyone does in way or the other," she said matter of factly. "Either the pain or depression is in your face...or your finding some way to hault it." She faltered and sighed , her tail whipping out behind her and lashing the air.

"Anyway, no use getting on THAT topic...." She said stretching slightly as she ran a hand through her black and white, still with brunette in it, hair. "So what do you do, or did you do preisland? Hear everyone has a story."
