It may be a little early to discuss upcoming fairs, but what the hell.
Does anyone else like going to local/state fairs? I've been going to fairs since I was a kid(though most of them were in Alaska, they grow some freakishly large veggies there man ._.)
What kind of shows or events do they have at fairs near you? I went to the Evergreen Fair(I think) last year, though I didn't see any shows.(I did vomit after riding a couple rides though, that was fun).

I'll be going to the Grant County Fair in August and Next may (yeah its way off) I'll be going to the crown event for the SCA at the grant county fair grounds razz

We have the Central Washington Fair, here, in September. And a carnival For the first 4 days of July.
I enjoy going. Not so much for the rides anymore, though.
I just like all the different things you can buy. (:

There's the Central Washington State Fair around here. Haven't been in a while, but I do want to go, but I never have enough cash... I hope to go this year, though, and ride the rides and buy stuff. ^^

I have been going the the Puyallup (a.k.a. The Western Washington State Fair) Fair since I was born. I haven't missed a single year yet. And I enter flowers every year, and this year I will be working at the fair. I should let the guild know so anyone that comes out this way can laugh at me in my food booth, unless I get a decent job at the fair....which is possible.

I usually find smaller fairs slightly unentertaining, but I think that's because I was raised with a big fair. I mean, seriously, what other fair in WA has the web address: www.thefair.com
That pwns.
It also is ranked in the top 10 largest fairs in the world. Can you tell that I love this fair? rofl

If you mean the one In Monroe at the Evergreen Faigrounds, then yes, that is the Evergreen fair. And I go EVERY freakin year since 98. I like to look at the various animal barns, and see the crafts. And the rides. And food.
Also, I almost went to the Sultan Shindig. Very little known fair that happens every July in Sultan. Didnt end up going, though some of my friends did. I used to go to the Elma fair, until we moved. Anyone in Grays Harbor county tends to go there. We need SOME sort of fun.(or at least, we did when i lived there XD)
I LURVE the fair, and I'm already planning my trip this year!

I went to the renton canterbury faire today.. supposedly a rennisance fair... there were about three vendors in costume. the one in gig harbor is much better and you get half price tickets online at halfpricebooks.com well something like that... from 12 dollars per person to six.. i think its a good deal... mush more or a festival i would say.. i have gone 4 years in a row..

OMG!!! I just realized where we could have a guild meeting!!!!! At one of the fairs. Since a bunch of you seem to go to the Evergreen fair anyway, what if we planned a guild meeting for it?
