I personally have two cats and two fire bellied toads. Though I am thinking about getting a few more of the toads. I also take care of my dad's dog and all of his fish a good majority of the time.

I have three cats... and though I would classify myself as a "cat person" more than a "dog person," I love dogs too, and really all animals. I've owned everything from turtles and frogs to birds and tropical fish... I really like all animals!

Currently there is a cat and a chinchilla in the house. I’d like to get a snake or lizard some day, but I absolutely can’t stand living without a cat.

Aww, my favorite isn't up there. I like frogs. I have two Whites at the moment, but I've also kept green tree frogs and firebelly toads in the past. The Whites are definitely my babies, though.
And I love cats, but I'm allergic to everything with fur. crying
I also love ferrets, but the above statement applies to them, as well.
I miss having fish, but my lease doesn't allow any of my many tanks to actually have water in them. Just enough for the frogs.
And I've never owned a snake or lizard, but would love to.

Yeah Frogs/Toads are my personal favs. Though I did just get repremanded by my grandma (yet again) for having the toads. One of these days I will have enough money saved up and move out again.
I use to have a few White frogs as well but when I moved out the first time I couldn't take them with me because my dad wouldn't let me take the tank outof the house, and of couse the next thing I know something happened and my dad managed to kill them both. Ugh
In the past by ages:
2-4 y/o: gerbils and one cat (Whiskers) 4-12 y/o: dog (Nick) 7-8 y/o: dog (Noel), dog (Cosmo), two Zebra Finches (Snowy and Mark) 9-21 y/o: cockatail (Zan-X) 16-21 y/o: 4 guinea pigs (Brownie, Golitah, Gizmo, and Stinky) 2 hampsters (Bitey, and Nice One) more fish than I care to think about and the two White frogs who had no names 21-22: Cat (Chocobo) 22-23: Cats (Keara and Oaryo) Fire Bellied Toads (Spaz and Fatso) 23-current: (still have the cats and the two toads died becuase of a stupid storm that cut out our heat) So I got two more toads (Nanashi and Quatra)
And that is just a list of my personal pets, my dad still keeps the fish, but seeing as that all of the fish that where mine have died out they are now all his. But I am still the one who goes out to buy the food for them and his toy Pom (Bobo)

I think it would be unethical for animals to be subjected to my neglect. So I don't own any.

I can't believe I'm the only dog person in the poll so far! I love cats too, but would choose a dog every time if given the choice...at the moment, I have the cutest dog in the world! Her name is Betty.

I am a cat person all the way! I love all animals, but cats are just so cute! i have one, a black manx named Bob. He's so cute! My boyfriend wants us to get a dog as well (which, Bob was raised around my parents dog, so he thinks he's more of a dog than a cat! blaugh ), and if we do, it has to be a Jack Russel! They are so hyper!
How country is this of me...I used to have pet squirrels when I was younger! whee When the hurricanes would blow through, we always had baby ones that would get flung from the tree, or ones that would get injured, so I would nurse them back to health.

I use to take in injured wild animals all the time. I get that from my grandpa, when ever there was a hurt bird or rabit he would take them in and nurse them back to health before setting them back out. My dad would do that same thing except he would take in snakes or one time he took in a salamader. So for a good period of time in my life there was almost always some sort of wild animal in the house.

A friend of mine had a chipmunk and a bat.. both rescuees and very tame. o_o They were way cute. The bat didn't last very long but the chipmunk lived for many years. He was the cutest. I had no idea a little chipmunk could live so long.

So I have aquired another pet...no not the toads I wanted...I woke up a few days ago with something fuzzy on my head...mind you i have all sorts of stuffies in my room and at first thought one fell off the top of the head board so I rolled over but then I felt it move and dig it's nails in me...
So I opened my eyes and found a tan and white fuzzy thing crawling on my pillows...I get up and carry it out of my room to my grandma and asked when we got a hampster...
Apparently she found it in our back yard.
I named it Boo...
