Once you pass the guards and are admitted through the palace gates, you enter the courtyard. Connected to the stables, groomsmen and pages await to take your mount away, while liveried servants await the chance to announce your arrival to their majesties.
The stables are roomy, filled with air and light, with a hay loft above. The stalls are spacious to allow optimum comfort for the animals housed here. Water and fresh hay are always available. The groomsmen are well trained; it is safe to say that your horse will be right at home and well taken care of here.

Xandra stepped carefully over the bodies of the unconsious guards and into the courtyard. She took off the hood of her cloak, which she had used to hide her identity when she approached the guards and gripped the halter of her mare. The stolen horse, which she had renamed Nightdancer nickered softly. Xandra hushed the mare and began to walk towards the stables. She pressed herself and she horse against the wall as a groomsman left the stable. She quickly led Nightdancer into the building and walked up and down the stalls. She found a horse similar to Nightdancer and led it out of the stall. She slapped it's rump and let it race outside. Nightdancer trotted happily into the stall and Xandra climbed into the hayloft, yawning and streaching on the soft straw.

Kromm jumped down from the house he was sitting on right in front of a Lieutenant, Bow drawn and a arrow in hand. The lieutenant opened his mouth to yell at him but Kromm stabbed the arrow into him before he could. "You deserve to die for two reasons. One, for hiring a mercinaire as a assasin and two, for trying to kill your superior for a little extra glory." said Kromm pulling his arrow out of him. By the look in the lieutenant's eye you could see he was very suprised a mercinaire would do that to him. Kromm reached into his pocket and pulled out all the lieutenant's money and putting it into a cloth bag and tieing the bag to his belt. He then jumped on the house again and waited for his brother to get here.

Xandra's eyebrows twitched as she heard a noise outside. She stealthily jumped out of the hay loft and peered out of the door, watching an assasin kill his employer. She frowned slightly with disgust. People heard about that kind of thing, it would be hard to find work if word got out that you got killed after hiring an assasin. That would probably affect her potential customers as well. She resisted the urge to spit at him and returned into the stable, not as quietly as she would have liked.

Kromm didn't much care that he was being watched. He wanted others to see him kill the man. Kromm wiped his arrow clean of blood and returned the arrow to his quiver. "These humans are so pathetic. Instead of just taking the hard and rewarding road they kill their superoirs to gain their power. Or they will just be born into the position like a king or queen. Unlike my culture and their kings and queens are the most powerful and generals and military leaders are chosen on who kills the most." said Kromm to himself hoping some human would hear him and realize how pathetic some of them were.

Xandra gritted her teeth as the other assasin simply let himself be seen killing the man. He was probably unexperienced, but his mistakes would waver people's trust in hired killers. Xandra frowned and walked out of the stable and blended in with the shadows. She hugged the walls as she made her way over to the man. She went to the back of the house he was sitting on and climbed up. She snuck up behind him, deggers drawn. She touched one to his back, muttering, "I'd suggest that you jump off this house, so we can have a quiet conversation."

Kromm smiled and slowly jumped from the building then turned to met his new "Freind's" face. "May I help you? Ya know you don't look like a goverment assasin...I didn't think they would send them out so fast, maybe humans are more alert then I thought." said Kromm sitting down and slipping his bow into his quiver.

Xandra quickly jumped down beside him and pressed her blade against his throat. "First of all, I'm not a human. I'm an elf." She spat. "And secondly, I'd advice you to be more secretive while doing your work. Your idiotic mistakes will affect real assasins, like me."

Kromm laughed. "Fine if you deny the word of human then you are a pathetic mixed. They are even worse then the humans, all they ever do is fight, fight, and then fight some more about who they are. and the haven't won a battle in about a hundred years against my people and they won't now." said Kromm grabbing hold of her wrist and slowly pulling her knife away from his throat. "If you don't mind it is rude to threaten a man's life. You either do it or keep your weapon's consealed like any good assasin."

"Ha! You call yourself a good assasin?" Xandra said scornfully, yanking her hand out of his grip, the dagger nicking his throat. "I don't think a good assasin would simply kill his employer for temporary wealth. And I am not mixed. I'm all elf, and don't you forget it." She lied about her race. She really didn't know what her father was, she'd never met him. Her mother was an elf, or at least she had been.

Kromm laughed. "I can blankly see your race. Any one of my culture could you are a half-blood. I am not a assasin at all, but I am a mercinaire, I killed that man because he deserved it which I'm starting to think that you do too. If you lie to an elf it is considered being traitoris to an elf so I have the law on my side if I was to kill you right now." said Kromm grabbed her wrist and twisting it till she dropped the knife then stepped out it and pulled his sword. "What are you going to do now?"

Xandra kicked out with her foot and hooked her ankle around the mercinaire's. She pulled sharply tripping him and freeing her self. She stepped back and picked upo her dagger. "I'm going to leave now that I know you arent an assasin." She said blandly.

Kromm loaded an arrow into his bow. "I'm afraid if you do that this little arrow here will go right though your little mixed heart. I'd like to see you run since you are the only person that saw me kill that soldier." Said Kromm Knowing that she was at a distance so he had the greater advantage.

Xandra stopped, her back to the mercinare. She chuckled softly, turning to face him. As she turned, the hand that was not visible took a throwing knife off the side of her leg. When she was fully facing the man, she flung her dagger with alarming accuracy, aiming for his bowstring.
