Rules:
~ No posting in this thread unless it's your test.
~ Limited to 4 posts. You can use less.
~ You have 2 weeks to finish your rp
~ Must use the battle field type assigned to you
~ You create a monster of your choice
~ Have fun!

1~Ice- Pretty simple with this one. The floor becomes solid ice. There are random chunks of ice protruding from the floor. And of course, you have little to no traction.

2~Desert- Pretty much nothing but massive sand dunes. You sink down into the sand, which slows you down a LOT. If the wind blows, the sand gets kicked up, which obscures vision.

3~Open Field- A plain grassy field with nothing on it.

4~Ocean- A mini ocean about 40 feet deep. There are five floating platforms for battlers to stand on. The plat forms bob around and it's really hard to keep your balence on them.

5~Dense Forest- The arena is packed from wall to wall with dense, tropical trees. As in any tropical jungle, there are lots of vines and other such things to get tangled up in.

6~Land of Fire- Parts of the arena floor sink away, leaving behind pits of lava. Also, pillars of fire erupt from the floor periodicly

7~Concrete- A plain concrete floor.

8~The Abyss- Near complete darkness engulfs the arena. Dark energy is abundant in this field.

9~The Sanctuary- Opposite of the Abyss. Light energy fills the arena. Its very bright!

10~No floor- The floor drops away leaving a pit filled with spikes. There are levitating platforms at varrying heights, going all the way to the top of the arena. It's hard to jump from platform to platform, and trust me, you don't want to fall.

The world lay on James' shoulders, at least that was how she felt at the current moment as she forced herself into the dry, desert-filled arena. Her mind was completely bogged down and separated from her exam. 'Michael, Malachai. Why do they have to hate each other?' Her foot slid in the sand, as she trekked up a seemingly endless pile of sand. James couldn't get a grip; on reality or her footing. "Nothing I do is ever right. Why did I even come to this school?" Her voice was interrupted by a low rumble from beneath her feet. "What the...?" James' voice trailed off as she felt the ground beneath her feet rise bit by bit and the wind slightly increase, blowing gently at first into her eyes, but growing in strength quickly. She collapsed at the mercy of the mighty wind, forgetting her powers and thinking only of the outside world.

From the burning ground arose a monster of gigantic proportions made entirely of sand. It stood larger than a two-story house and had no visible eyes. The creature took the shape of a man, with two hands and a pair of legs. A dusty cloud blew off of it in the gusty wind.

James' eyes nearly popped out of her head when she saw the monster. Fear overcame her entire body, causing her mind to lose what little focus was there. James was in a complete panic.

The sand giant shifted about before finally taking notice of James. At first glance, it didn't realize she was an enemy, but the being despite delay lashed out at James with a body-crippling swing of its humungous right arm. James' body hurled through the air, landing harshly on the scratchy sand that coated the entire arena.

James forced herself up on her feet just in time to be blasted with a sudden rush of wasteland wind. She went crashing down to the ground, taking in a rather large mouthful of the arena. James spit until her mouth had little to no saliva left in it. "UGH! SON OF A..." She choked on some sand and coughed until she could breathe again. With a disgusted display on her face and a gritty mouth, James managed to make it to her feet and stick this time.

The creature surged forward towards James, propelled by the wind and sending off some of its sand in large amounts to blind her.
Concentrating, James utilized her elemental powers. She twisted her hands about, taking hold of the sand surface and bending it away from herself.

James quickly burrowed herself into the ground, enclosing herself in a cave and hiding from the creature. It was dark. Pitchblack kind of dark. James began to panic slightly. She had always been afraid of the night, even though she loved it best. James began to feel and adrenaline rush from her fear. 'It worked.' Bending her legs into a strong, steady stance, she clapped her hands together, high above her head. With one abrupt motion, James wheeled her arms down, diverting the earth above her head, like Moses parting the sea, and provoking the ground beneath her to hoist her body several feet into the air, just high enough to exceed the monster's height.

The brute was bewildered and had no sense of what had just occurred. It thrashed its dirty arms about wildly in hopes of striking its opponent, but it failed.

James had shot herself even further into the air by using the wind currents to drive her farther up into the vastly azure sky. Oddly, a change began to arise in James' appearance. From her back sprouted the weirdest-looking black object. There were two of them and they seemed to be wing-like. As the wings took their full shape it was easier to tell what they were. The pair of wings no bigger than James' back shifted color as if deciding on one. It rested on orange, black, and greenish-blue. She no longer needed the wind to hold her airborne. James had wings.

Adjusting to the new addition to her person, James flitted about in the air for several minutes before the beast below sent off around five sand blasts.

The first one rapidly sped towards James. Still unaccustomed to her wings, she attempted dodging right, but for some reason went left. The blast barely missed her by about a foot. Just when she thought she was in the clear, the second blast went careening at her. With a simple flick of the wrist, the discharge was diverted into the open sky.

The third and fourth combined mid-air to form one supernova-sized torpedo of sand. Her eyes grew huge at the sight of it. There was no dodging it, or diverting. "What's hotter than hot? FIRE!" Instantly she was encircled by flames that grew by the second. The blast surged straight for her, but her forcefield of fire broke up the particles, singeing the dust to nothingness. James smirked at her success, not noticing the final blast headed her way.

Out of nowhere, James came crashing down to the hard, sandy surface. The last eruption of granules had hammered her. She lay sprawled out in the funkiest position, with her arm twisted about and one of her legs bent outwards. Her face was flat in the sand and her breath shallow. Everytime James inhaled, she added some more sand to her already vast collection.

Her first attempt to mount her feet was foiled when her arm slipped out from beneath her due to the monumental amount of pain that went shooting through her arm. "SSHHHHHHHHHIIIII...." James screamed at the top of her lungs, which was a very foolish thing to do, what with the monster still after her. THUD, THUD. Even through the unsteady ground, James could feel the vibrations of the being growing increasingly closer to her. 'I have to get out of here!' Panic ensued her mind. In a desperate attempt, James rolled as best she could onto her stomach. From there, using her one good arm, she hobbled to her feet. By this time, James had completely forgotten her wings.

The beast appeared before her eyes, just as large, if not larger, as before. It swished its arms about her body. If James had not shifted the ground around her as quickly as she did, she would have been smashed.

James was in a pickle. There were few options left. Her sword hung at her side, giving her a sense of strength. It would serve her no purpose though. The blade would only slice into the creature, leaving behind no mark and James knew this. She couldn't keep up her defenses much longer, especially with a broken arm and what she was pretty sure was a twisted ankle. Her left arm throbbed in pain, but she pushed back the tears that were welling up. 'I can't let it affect me!' With sheer determination in her eyes, James manipulated the water molecules in the air like she had done once before in Sanctuary exam. Even though it was a dry desert, it was her only chance besides burning the entire place up.

Although there was little about, James managed to obtain just enough to make maybe two bucket fulls. She transferred the water from the air to the base of the beast. It was just enough to hold it still. With its feet immobile, the creature could only swipe at James. Standing farther back, James used what little energy she had left to build flames that were larger than life itself. In one extremely long moment, the fire shot at the monster, burning it alive. Pieces of it hit the ground, leaving no trace that the creature ever existed.

James fell forward once more, breathing heavily from her strenuous battle. "At least I didn't go demon." She laughed a bit to herself, then surveyed her injured arm. Not only was it broken, but it was bleeding excessively. James felt extremely drained of her energy. She was losing way too much blood. Her head dropped to her chest as the exam room shifted back into its boring old self. The wings on her back morphed back into her body to stay hidden from sight. The door popped open and someone rushed in. The person was blurred and James couldn't tell who it was. Her vision blurred into darkness and all she saw was night. Only one word escaped her mouth. "Michael."

Scoring:
A- 85 credits
B- 75 credits
C- 65 credits
D- 45 credits
F- 20 credits

Length and Pacing: Some posts were visibly longer than others, but I'm not as much of a stickler on that as you are, so that can slide. It did seem to move a bit too fast though.

General Grammar Rules: I caught only a few errors, overall mistake free.

Personality: Could've been better, I think, but still good.

Use of Environment: You used the environment well, I could more or less see it as you described what was happening.

Details: You gave everything reasonably good detail~

Overall: I give you a B+/A-, or 80 credits.

Scoring:
A- 85 credits
B- 75 credits
C- 65 credits
D- 45 credits
F- 20 credits

Length and Pacing: There were slight margins of difference between some posts, but that doesn't really matter. you kept a nice, mid-speed pace going.
General Grammar Rules: You used a few alliterations to describe the sizes of things. Some i found were in their own ways inappropriate, though i won't count off for that this time, since they did help to give an idea. Keep in mind this though;
a supernova is a reaction that a star has. It doesn't have a definite size. And i don't think that there are any stars small enough to actually fit into an arena that is only the size of a roman coliseum, much less a combusting one.
larger than life is another. Life doesn't really have a measure of size, only length. The vessels of life don't really count if you're referring to life.
I do like your usage of these in terms of description, but i do prefer to use correct and realistic alliterations so that the reader doesn't get the wrong idea.

Personality: Hmm. I didn't notice this part too much, though i know it was there.

Use of Environment: You used the environment to shield yourself a couple times, made a monster out of it, and also even pulled water from the air. few people even try to take it that far. kudos to you! <3

Details: Everything had a nice amount of description to it. Not too much, and not skin and bones. Nice job there! <3

Overall: I'll give you a B+ with 78 creds.
