What are your favorite lyrics in a Pink Floyd song?
If you want to know mine, read my sig.
I had to delete it out of my sig.
Dark Side Of The Moon - Brain Damage "You raise the blade, you make the change, you re-arrange me 'til I'm sane. You lock the door, and throw away the key. There's someone in my head but it's not me."

definetly wish you were here
i will post them right here:
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears, wish you were here.
well, they would be in my sig but thats big enough

I love the song Goodbye Blue Sky. I was obsessed with that song for like 2 weeks. I would listen to nothing besides Goodbye Blue Sky. Woot.

Wish You Were Here lyric fragment:
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
Comfortably Numb lyric fragment:
There is no pain you are receding. The distant ship smoke on the horizon. You are only coming through in waves, Your lips move, but I can't hear what you're saying. When I was a child, I had a fever, my hands felt just like two balloons. Now I've got that feeling once again, I can't explain, You will not understand, this is not how I am. I have become comfortably numb.

Wah... Lots and lots... o_O
Some of my favorites are Nobody Home -
I've got a little black book with my poems in I've got a bag with a toothbrush and a comb in When I'm a good dog they sometimes throw me a bone in I got elastic bands keeping my shoes on Got those swollen hand blues. Got thirteen channels of s**t on the T.V. to choose from I've got electric light And I've got second sight I've got amazing powers of observation And that is how I know When I try to get through On the telephone to you There'll be nobody home I've got the obligatory Hendrix perm And I've got the inevitable pinhole burns All down the front of my favourite satin shirt I've got nicotine stains on my fingers I've got a silver spoon on a chain I've got a grand piano to prop up my mortal remains I've got wild staring eyes I've got a strong urge to fly But I've got nowhere to fly to Ooooh Babe when I pick up the phone There's still nobody home I've got a pair of Gohills boots And I've got fading roots.
The Trial (One of my favorite songs EVER.)
Good morning Worm your honour The crowd will plainly show The prisoner who now stands before you Was caught red handed showing feelings Showing feelings of an almost human nature This will not do CALL THE SCHOOLMASTER I always said he'd come to no good In the end your honour If they'd let me have my way I could Have flayed him into shape But my hands were tied The bleeding hearts and artists Let him get away with murder Let me hammer him today Crazy toys in the attic I am crazy Truly gone fishing Crazy toys in the attic he is crazy They must have taken my marbles away You little s**t, you're in it now I hope they throw away the key You should talked to me more often Than you did, but no you had to Go your own way. Have you broken any homes up lately? "Just five minutes Worm your honour him and me alone" Baaaaaabe Come to mother baby let me hold you in my arms M'red I never wanted him to get in any trouble Why'd he ever have to leave me Worm your honour let me take him home Crazy over the rainbow I am crazy Bars in the window There must have been a door there in the wall When I came in Crazy over the rainbow he is crazy The evidence before the court is Incontrovertible, there's no need for The jury to retire In all my years of judging I have never heard before of Some one more deserving The full penalty of law The way you made them suffer Your exquisite wife and mother Fills me with an urge to defecate But my friend you have revealed your deepest fear I sentence you to be exposed before your peers Tear down the wall!
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1 - 5)
Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun. Shine on you crazy diamond. Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky. Shine on you crazy diamond. You were caught on the cross fire of childhood and stardom, blown on the steel breeze. Come on you target for faraway laughter, come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr, and shine!
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon. Shine on you crazy diamond. Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light. Shine on you crazy diamond. Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, rode on the steel breeze. Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and shine!
And Bike.
I've got a bike, You can ride it if you like It's got a basket, a bell that rings And things to make it look good I'd give it to you if I could, but I borrowed it
You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world I'll give you anything, everything if you want things
I've got a cloak it's a bit of a joke There's a tear up the front it's red and black I've had it for months If you think it could look good then I guess it should
You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world I'll give you anything, everything if you want things
I know a mouse and he hasn't got a house I don't know why I call him Gerald He's getting rather old but he's a good mouse
You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world I'll give you anything, everything if you want things
I've got a clan of gingerbread men Here a man, there a man, lots of gingerbread men Take a couple if you wish, they're on the dish
You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world I'll give you anything, everything if you want things
I know a room of musical tunes Some rhyme, some ching, most of them are clockwork
Let's go into the other room and make them work.

Well, it's kinda hard to pick a favorite, but Comfortably Numb is a good one. So is Brain Damage and Eclipse. They can be interpreted different ways. Comfortably Numb is really bout heroin, but.... You can interpret it so many ways. They're all around great at lyrics in general. Time is a good one, too. Money Roger Waters wrote when he was a little kid. Teacher told him to throw the poem away.
